Judicial report: (1) GROUCH PAWSET (Race 5 #3) - late scratching at 10.20am on veterinary advice. (2) BOTANY ESMAY (Race 6 #7) - late scratching at 10.33am on veterinary advice. (3) Trainer N P Green was questioned in relation to the late scratchings of his aforementioned runners which denied the respective reserve dogs the opportunity of a start. After considering his explanation no further action was taken on this occasion other than to remind Mr Green of his obligations. (4) SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT:- Waikato GRC – 17th October 2019 - Stewards have concluded their investigation in regard to the nomination and subsequent scratching of the greyhound THRILLING BILLY from Race 10 at the before mentioned meeting. After taking evidence from Waikato Club secretary Mr R Death, rehoming manager for May Hounds M Stebbing and Trainer Mr P Ferguson Stewards deemed Mr Ferguson to have breached GRNZ Rule 62.1(i) in that he nominated THRILLING BILLY in a fraudulent, misleading or deceptive description. After assessing all of the evidence and taking into account Mr Ferguson's admission of the breach along with his previously clear record, Stewards issued him with a charge under GRNZ Rule 62.1(cc) with a $300.00 fine being imposed. Race 5	Yvette Bodiam Photography Sprint - C1 - 375	SEVEN SHARP (1) - crowded and lost considerable ground entering the turn. SOVEREIGN PRIDE (2) - raced in restricted room rounding the turn. HUA HUA (4) - slow to begin. BIGTIME BRUCIE (5) - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the turn. OUT OF PAPER (6) - slow to begin. Hampered by a weakening runner rounding the turn. YELLA ELLA (7) - lost ground rounding the turn after being a clear leader and was buffeted when going back through the field before finishing at the rear. Shifted wide early in the run home.
