Judicial report: 1). Stewards concluded an adjourned investigation into the conduct shown by Owner/Trainer Mr C D Steele at the Southland GRC's meeting on the 27th August 2019. At a JCA hearing held at Addington Raceway on the 11 September 2019 Mr Steele defended a charge under GRNZ Rule 62.1 (p) in that he failed to comply with a lawful order of a Steward. After hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Steele the JCA found the charge proven with the penalty decision being reserved.

2). STEP INSIDE LOVE (A Joyce) - completed a satisfactory trial and is now permitted to be nominated.~~

3). SPRING FALCON (J & D Fahey) - completed a satisfactory trial and is now permitted to be nominated.~~

4). Trainers J & D Fahey were fined $100.00 for presenting ALOTTA TALK down 1.6kg's from its most recent start.~~

5). An investigation was opened into the reason greyhounds nominated for a Qualifying trial trained by Owner/Trainer A Lawrence (Cambridge) had been domiciled with Owner/Trainer R Blackburn (Amberly).

Race 1	The Fitz Sports Bar Sprint - C3 - 295	MAJOR STORM (1) - checked off the heels of DOOMSDAY rounding the bend shifting up the track in consequence. In doing so placed MITCHAM QUINN in some difficulty. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. KNOW HASSLE (3) - exited the bend wide. DOOMSDAY (7) - hampered from behind by MAJOR STORM entering the bend. MITCHAM QUINN (8) - raced wide into the bend. Checked and lost ground rounding the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury.
Race 2	A2C Asphalt 2 Concrete Ph 0800222583 Dash - C3 - 295	FIDGETY FEET (1) - lost momentum when placed in tight quarters to the inside of GOLDSTAR JAY JAY rounding the bend. MEMPHIS JEWEL (2) - placed in restricted room between runner rounding the bend losing ground and being dragged down. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. GOLDSTAR JAY JAY (3) - forced down the track in the run to the bend by BLACK TORI before being obliged to check off this greyhounds heels. Jostled with RING CLOWN prior to the bend. LUCKY SCAR (4) - slow early. Checked by MEMPHIS JEWEL rounding the bend. RING CLOWN (6) - jostled with GOLDSTAR JAY JAY prior to the bend.
Race 3	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C3 - 295	MA CHERE (1) - checked and lost ground entering the bend. ENCHANTEE (4) - boxed first. forced up the track and jostled with SMASH REBEL entering the bend. SMASH REBEL (5) - jostled with ENCHANTEE entering the bend and lost ground. Checked from behind by FERAL KAIAKA rounding the bend. FERAL KAIAKA (6) - squeezed for room in the run to the bend and obliged to check off heels. Again obliged to check off heels rounding the bend losing ground.
Race 4	Steve Anngow Drapes & Blinds Ph0272719588 Dash - C4 - 295	MULBERRY MINX (3) - made the bend awkwardly losing ground. GOLDSTAR MAJOR (4) - received a bump from the outside by DEBBIE BAXTER early stages. PRINCELY GOLD (5) - slow early. DEBBIE BAXTER (6) - squeezed for racing room early stages bumping with GOLDSTAR MAJOR as a result.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C5 - 295	FLEUR DIOR (1) - hampered by DAHTESTE prior to the bend. JINJA ELLIE (2) - slow early. DAHTESTE (3) - squeezed for room prior to the bend and lost ground. WILDEBEEST (4) - bumped from the outside by LISA'S BOY in the run to the bend.Hampered entering the bend. LISA'S BOY (5) - forced down the track in the run to the bend bumping with WILDEBEEST as a result. Lost ground when awkwardly placed between runners entering the bend. GOLDSTAR TROOPER (6) - came down the track in the run to the bend hampering inside runners. PITA RAMOS (7) - placed in tight quarters entering the bend and lost ground. PLATINUM MARSHAL (8) - awkwardly placed to the outside of PITA RAMOS entering the bend losing ground as a consequence.
Race 6	My Bro Fabio Distance Feature - C2d - 645	GOLDSTAR SYDNEY (1) - awkwardly placed and lost momentum first turn. FAMOUS LEE (2) - jostled with KNOW ANXIETY early stages. Squeezed for racing room first turn. KNOW ANXIETY (3) - jostled with FAMOUS LEE early stages.Contacted from the inside by OPAWA HILARY second turn colliding with VON STASS as a result. PERFECT RESULT (4) - bumped with FAMOUS LEE first turn. Checked from behind first turn. Hampered fourth turn. OPAWA HILARY (5) - climbed on heels first turn losing ground and bumping with DYNA WESLYN. Collided with KNOW ANXIETY second turn. DYNA WESLYN (6) - bumped with OPAWA HILARY first turn. VON STRASS (7) - contacted from the inside by KNOW ANXIETY second turn. ALOTTA TALK (8) - raced down 1.6kg's down from its most recent start. When questioned in regards to the reason for this co-trainer Mr D Fahey explained that the he had experienced a high fat content in meat he had purchased leading up to racing on the 23rd August with this placing some weight on ALOTTA TALK. Mr Fahey added that he has been able to change the diet back again and this combined with warmer weather and racing during the day had the greyhound presenting down in weight.
Race 7	Beach Cafe & Wine Bar Sprint - C4 - 295	BAHAMA QUEEN (2) - had heels clipped rounding the bend losing momentum briefly. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to have a sprained wrist. MOHICAN RUN (3) - awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend being held up for racing room as a result. SMASH WILD (4) - came out and bumped with JUSTIN RYAN early stages. GOLDSTAR DIESEL (5) - Awkwardly placed on heels and had to check when rounding the bend. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was reported to be suffering from a mild hock strain. JUSTIN RYAN (6) - bumped from the inside by SMASH WILD early stages. Referred to the Veterinarian where it was required to have a spike wound sutured. TAIERI TERRA (7) - jostled with EZRA BLUEBLOOD prior to the bend. Exited the bend awkwardly running wide. EZRA BLUEBLOOD (8) - jostled with TAIERI TERRA prior to the bend.
Race 8	Christchurch Casino Sprint - C5 - 295	MEMOIR (1) - checked outwards off the heels of COLBERT rounding the bend. NOZZNO FEAR (3) - jostled with HILTON FORABET in the run to the bend losing ground. INSIDE AFFAIR (4) - slow early. Obliged to race wide exiting the bend. HILTON FORABET (5) - squeezed for racing room prior to the bend jostling with NOZZNO FEAR before becoming awkwardly positioned on heels losing ground. OPAWA JUMPER (6) - slow early.
Race 9	Fox & Ferret @ The Palms Stakes - C4/5 - 520	OUR JOLENE (1) - checked and lost ground rounding the final bend when racing to the outside of DYNA DAVE. SEFTON JOY (2) - checked outwards off the heels of START THE SHOW first bend placing some difficulty onto DYNA VARSITY. KNOW REFUSAL (3) - slow to jump. DYNA VARSITY (5) - jostled with DYNA DAVE prior to the first bend. Hampered first bend when bumped slightly by SEFTON JOY. DYNA DAVE (6) - jostled with DYNA VARSITY prior to the first bend before being squeezed for racing room losing momentum. Held up for racing room rounding the final bend when racing in restricted room to the inside of OUR JOLENE. KNOW STATE (8) - slow early.
Race 10	2019 Kolorful Kanvas Christchurch Classic Final - R/Af - 520	KIWI GUNN (2) - bumped with OPAWA DEAL exiting the final bend. OUR ANNA (3) - came up the track in the run to the first bend colliding with OPAWA DEAL. Checked entering the first bend. PUNTERS BOLT (4) - placed in restricted room in the run to the first bend. Again placed in restricted room entering the bend and lost ground after being checked. Referred to the Veterinarian and cleared of injury. OPAWA VINNY (5) - squeezed early. Forced to race wide first bend GO DIEGO (6) - squeezed for room early stages losing ground. OPAWA TODDY (7) - squeezed for room early stages losing ground. OPAWA DEAL (8) - came down the track early stages hampering inside greyhounds. Collided with OUR ANNA in the run to the first bend. Bumped with KIWI GUNN exiting the final bend.
Race 11	Spectator's Bar & Bistro Dash - C5 - 295	SMASH ATTACK (2) - squeezed for racing room in the run to the bend before being awkwardly positioned on heels entering the bend. Checked off heels exiting the bend bumping with OPAWA LACY. CHANYAKA (4) - last on jumping. Bumped down the track by OPAWA LACY in the run to the bend. OPAWA LACY (5) - bumped CHANYAKA down the track in the run to the bend. Awkwardly placed on heels and had to steady entering the bend. Had to check off heels rounding the bend. Bumped from the inside by SMASH ATTACK when exiting the bend. TREVILLE (6) - boxed first. Awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend.
Race 12	Livamol Sprint - C4 - 295	REPLICA CASINO was a late scratching on retrieval from the kennels. NEELIX (1) - hampered prior to the bend. NIPPA MARTINO (3) - awkwardly positioned on the hind quarters of KALONGA rounding the bend. KALONGA (6) - lost ground when held up for racing room rounding the bend. DIZZY BANJO (8) - began awkwardly.
