Track: Good With persistent showers throughout the meeting the track was well maintained and provide a good racing surface. All other equipment operated well.

Judicial report: 1) K Coppins - Chairman of Stewards race 1 - 10. 2) M Austin - Chairman of Stewards race 11 - 20. ~~ 2) GOLDSTAR POWER (race 7 #8) late scratching at kenneling on veterinary advice. ~~ 3) The following Greyhounds successfully completed satisfactory trials, SMALLTIME JOHNNY (T Agent/K Williams), TAP OUT REG (A Turnwald), MISCHIEF SEEKER (R Waite) and BIGTIME ZEUS (T Agent/K Williams). ~~ 4) CHECKPOINT (race 2 #4) charged pursuant with Rule 55.1(b) in that it failed to pursue the lure for the entirety of the event and stood down for 28 days and to complete a satisfactory trial.~~ 5) ROSE AND CROWN ( M Goodier ) # 3 race 14 has been stood down to complete a satisfactory trial per rule 38.

Squeezed entering the bend becoming unbalanced and moving up the track into the bend. Checked runner to its outside on the point of the bend. Raced wide through the home straight. TARANAKI BRIE (3) - bumped shortly after the start. SPRING POPPY (5) - squeezed between runners shortly after the start. Checked off heels entering the bend. BIGTIME AVA (6) - squeezed between runners shortly after the start and again nearing the bend. FIRECRACKER (7) - bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide through the home straight. IT'S TIMMY (8) - bumped runner to its inside shortly after the start. Squeezed runner to its inside nearing the bend. Checked on the point of the bend. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed pain in left hind gracilis muscle. SKELDALE (9/4) - raced wide through the home straight.
Race 2	WHANGANUI CHRONICLE COF - C0f - 305	BIG TIME FROSTY (1) - received bump at the start. Jostled briefly with runner to its outside nearing the bend. ARIANA SUNSET (2) - bumped runner to its inside and outside at the start. Squeezed entering the bend losing ground as a result. Bumped entering the home straight. Raced wide through the home straight. SO SEVERE (3) - bumped runner to its inside at the start. CHECKPOINT (4) - briefly jostled with runner to its inside nearing the bend. Charged pursuant with Rule 55.1(b) in that it failed to pursue the lure for the entirety of the event when angling towards a runner to its outside nearing the home straight. A post race veterinary examination was carried which revealed pain in left hind quadriceps, not withstanding this, was stood down for 28 days and required to complete a satisfactory trial before resuming. SIRAN (6) - bumped at the start. Squeezed runner to its inside nearing the bend. Bumped runner to its outside entering the home straight. BIG TIME EILISH (7) - squeezed runners to its inside shortly after the start. Marred by runner to its inside nearing the home straight.

BIG TIME LEBRON (3) - checked off heels nearing the winning post on the first occasion. Raced wide through the back straight. BIG TIME PRICKLE (4) - slow away. Awkwardly placed behind runners on the point of the first bend. Raced wide through the home straight. BIG TIME DUSTY (5) - squeezed between runners nearing the winning post on the first occasion. AHUROA WHIZZ (3) - bumped shortly after the start. Squeezed entering the bend. VIKING BRIT (4) - began awkwardly. Squeezed runner to its inside entering the bend. Bumped on the point of the bend losing ground as a result. Raced wide through the home straight. SMALL BOY (5) - checked off heels shortly after the start. Bumped runner to its outside on the point of the bend. Raced wide through the home straight. JAMBOREE (6) - awkwardly placed between runners on the point of the bend. THAT'S FRANK (7) - bumped on the point of the bend.
Race 5	WANGANUI TOYOTA C1 - C1 - 305	CLANSMAN DOUGLAS (1) - squeezed shortly after the start. HOMEBUSH JASPER (2) - squeezed runner to its inside shortly after the start. Bumped nearing the home straight. Checked off heels entering the home straight. RAMBO (3) - began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. LIGHT CRUISER (4) - bumped runner to its inside nearing the home straight. HARPOON HARRY (5) - bumped from behind nearing the bend. Checked off heels entering the home straight. HOMEBUSH RAZOR (7) - raced wide through the home straight. CHOP SHOP (10/8) - bumped nearing the home straight. Checked from behind entering the home straight. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed pain in right hind gracilis and left hand quadriceps.
Race 6	PRESIDENTS DASH C1 - C1 - 305	SPARK 'EM UP (1) - squeezed runners to its outside nearing the bend when attempting to move away from the rail. Bumped runner to its outside on the point of the bend. HURRICANE AL (2) - squeezed entering the bend. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed mild lameness right front leg, pain and slight tearing monkey muscle. GOLDSTAR AUBURN (3) - awkwardly placed behind runners entering the bend and inconvenienced by fallen runner. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed no injury. ROCKY TOP (5) - squeezed between runners nearing the bend losing ground as a result. EPIC SPARK (6) - squeezed between runners nearing the bend falling as a result. Regained feet and completed the race. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed pain in left fore triceps. DUKE BRUCE (7) - squeezed runners to its inside nearing the bend. SLY CATH (8) - received a bump on the point of the bend. AHUROA FLYER (9/4) - squeezed runner to its inside entering the bend.
Race 7	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305	BIGTIME KYLIE (2) - began awkwardly. STAR SECRET (3) - raced wide through the bend. Checked off heels nearing the winning post. BIGTIME WAYNO (4) - slow away. FINAL STRAW (5) - raced wide through the bend and early part of home straight. ELLAND ROAD (6) - raced wide throughout.
Race 8	HATRICK DASH C1 - C1 - 305	JERICHO WARRIOR (2) - squeezed nearing the bend. Checked off heels on the point of the bend becoming unbalanced and losing ground as a result. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed a broken nail right hind. I'LL BE LOYAL (3) - bumped at the start. Inconvenienced on the point of the bend. Raced wide through the home straight. HOMEBUSH SHEA (5) - bumped at the start. Inconvenienced on the point of the bend. HOMEBUSH FLUTEY (6) - checked from behind on the point of the bend. BIGTIME CLAWS (7) - raced wide throughout.
Race 9	THE ROCK 952FM C1 - C1 - 520	IDOL LITTLE GIRL (1) - bumped runner to its outside nearing the first bend when attempting to move away from the rail. BIG TIME RUSTY (2) - inconvenienced shortly after the start. Bumped runner to its outside nearing the back straight. BIGTIME ROLL (3) - received bump from runner to its inside nearing the first bend. Received bump from runner to its inside nearing the back straight. DIAMOND GEEZER (4) - slow away. Bumped on the point of the first bend. Raced wide throughout. RACE ME HOME (7) - began awkwardly. GO RING (10/8) - bumped runner to its outside on the point of the first bend.
Race 10	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C1 - C1 - 305	KILLER FROST (1) - bumped shortly after the start. Jostled with runner to its outside for a distance nearing the bend losing ground as a result. Raced wide through the home straight. A post race veterinary examination was carried out which revealed pain in left deep pectorial muscle. JUDGE ME JACKIE (2) - squeezed runner to its outside nearing the bend. Raced wide through the home straight. ARTICULATOR (3) - began awkwardly. Squeezed nearing the bend. BIGTIME CHAMP (4) - jostled with runner to its inside for a distance nearing the bend. BIGTIME SILVER (5) - squeezed between runners nearing the bend. BLITZEM GEM (6) - squeezed runner to its inside nearing the bend. WHIPPY BALE (8) - raced wide through the bend and home straight.
Race 11	J P PRINT PETONE C1 - C1 - 305	EMPTY POCKET referred to the vet and was found to have minor pain at base of right satorious muscle a 5 day stand down was recommended. EMPTY POCKET (1) - began awkwardly last in to stride by a margin and was unable to get in to contention there after was referred to the vet BLACKJACK MAN (4) - came out from the jump contacting runner to his outer was bumped and pushed wide racing in to the bend and raced wide there after. BIG TIME CHANCE (5) - fav- came out from the jump making contact with runner to his inner and was unbalanced settled back came out off heels contacting runner to his outer racing in to the bend only battled in the run to the line.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 1WIN - C1 - 520	BIONIC BOY (5) - jostled between runners soon after the start was checked back off heels racing in to the bend becoming unbalanced for a couple of strides losing momentum and was unable to get in to contention there after. LUCKY MICK (9/6) - angled in wards tightening and checking runners to her inner
Race 13	LASER PLUMBING C1 1WIN - C1 - 305	MISTER BOOZE (4) - contact with runner to his immediate outer when jumping outwards at the start and settled back was unable to get in to contention there after. FRIZZLED (5) - angled inwards sharply on leaving the boxes running in to runner to his inner as this dog came outwards soon after was bumped as runner angled across JUST LIKE HARRY (6) - checked soon after the start came out over heels racing in to the home straight costing him a length or so. SEFTON BREW (7) - angled inwards from the jump contacted runners to his inner was dictated widest in to the bend hampered on the home turn when crossed by improving runner.
Race 14	RIVERCITY GAS C1 - C1 - 520	ROSE AND CROWN referred to the vet and was found to have pain in the right elbow area a 2 day stand down was recommended with this runner being stood to to complete a satisfactory trial. ROSE AND CROWN (3) - jostled in to the first bend dropped out to the rear and was unable to improve thereafter finishing a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet REPLICA RANGO (4) - tightened and checked back racing in to the bend on the first occasion GOLDSTAR CHARGER (8) - jumped last settled back raced widest in to the bend on the first occasion
Race 15	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305	BIGTIME TOBY referred to the vet where no abnormalities were found. LEGER'S MAGIC (2) - dictated outwards racing to the bend and contacted runners to his outer being hampered for some strides. MAGNETUDE EIGHT (3) - angled outwards racing to the bend forcing runners to her outer to tighten and jostle for some strides. JAY WENDY (5) - checked in to the bend then angled across to the rail mand made some ground. BIGTIME TOBY (6) - ran in to hindquarters and was severely hampered racing in to the bend losing all chance thereafter finishing in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet HOMEBUSH DEMI (8) - badly hampered in to the bend when pushed outwards resulting in following runner contacting her hindquarters unbalancing her for a couple of strides losing momentum and was unable to get back in to contention.
Race 16	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 520	CAWBOURNE CHOPS (1) - hampered for some strides racing in to the bend on the first occasion when tightened and jostled fror some strides. FLASH BARRY (2) - tightened and checked losing ground back to the rear in the run in to the bend on the first occasion. SMASH ROCK (4) - checked in to the bend on the first occasion catching heels and stumbled for a stride or so losing momentum was unable to get back in to contention thereafter. THRILLING EDDIE (6) - angled across in to the bend severely tightening several runners to his inner for some strides. BIG TIME RHINO (7) - hampered for some strides racing in to the bend when racing in tight quarters losing momentum and ground. MAINLINE LIL (9/3) - hampered soon after the start when tightened and checked and jostled for some distance in to the bend on the first occasion losing momentum and ground was unable to get in to contention thereafter
Race 17	WHANGANUI CHRONICLE C2 - C2 - 305	Connections of NIPPA-A-SPOT were asked about the form reversal today and told Stewards that the dog benefited from a stir up and the box draw also suited the dog. BREED APART (2) - hampered in to the bend when checked in tight quarters losing momentum and ground soon after was forced to abruptly check back off heels racing widest to the line. SECRET INDY (3) - hampered when pushed sideways racing in to the bend losing momentum and ground. DOOSH (5) - settled back angled inwards and became awkwardly placed for a couple of strides racing in to the bend angled inwards in the latter stages tightening runner to his inner. BIGTIME ON TRACK (7) - came back off heels racing in to the bend running wide losing ground hampered slightly short of the line when tightened.
Race 18	WANGANUI TOYOTA C2 - C2 - 305	BIGTIME BOY (2) - began awkwardly for a stride or so soon after attempted to angle outwards and was pushed back in racing in to the bend was able to keep his position in the running. DREAM ON DREAMER (4) - led out and became unbalanced for a stride or so in the run to the bend COOKIE BISCUIT (5) - angled in then outwards contacting hind quarters and stumbling for a couple of strides losing momentum and ground in the run to the bend recovered some ground in the run to the line. BIGTIME COCO (7) - began very awkwardly and was last in to stride by several lengths ran widest in to the bend and was unable to get in to contention.
Race 19	THE ROCK 95.2FM C2 - C2 - 305	NOT SHACKLEY was referred to the vet where no abnormalities were found. NOT SHACKLEY (6) - dictated inwards from the jump was soon after bumped and checked losing balance going down on her nose losing all chance there after and was referred to the vet
Race 20	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305	NAHARIS (1) - fav- tightened and hampered for a couple of strides racing in to the bend. UNO AGAIN (5) - hampered in the early rush then angled out and raced widest thereafter to the line. BIGTIME PUMA (6) - angled across from the jump tightening and jostling runners to his inner for some strides . SLAM IT (7) - tightened and checked in to the bend SCOOBASI (8) - came back off heels losing ground in the run across the top bend.
