Judicial report: SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT:-

1). CHRISTCHURCH GRC - 18th April 2018:- The J.C.A received a Review lodged by Trainers J & D Fahey against a decision handed down by the Racing Integrity Unit Stewards on the grounds that their Greyhound 'VON STRASS' had Pursued the Lure and that the Stewards decision on the day in question was incorrect. The Stewards had determined, under the provisions of Greyhound Racing New Zealand's Rule 55.1.b, that ‘VON STRASS’ had failed to pursue the lure during Race 11, The New Zealand Oaks Heat 4. Subsequently, 'VON STRASS' was suspended for 28 days and ordered to undergo a satisfactory trial prior to being nominated for any further races. At a hearing held yesterday at Addington Raceway the J.C.A, having viewed the replay vision and taking into account evidence tendered by Stewards and Mr D Fahey, found that it was correct for the Stewards to form the opinion that the greyhound 'VON STRASS' had failed to Pursue the Lure and the review was dismissed.~~

2). CHRISTCHURCH GRC - 16th April 2019:- The J.C.A received a Review lodged by Trainer Ms S Hindson against a decision handed down by the Racing Integrity Unit Stewards on the grounds that her Greyhound 'INKY LORD' Failed to Pursue the Lure due to a medical condition and as such should not be subjected to the endorsement under Rulle 55.1. The Stewards determined, under the provisions of Greyhound Racing New Zealand's Rule 55.1.b, that ‘INKY LORD’ had failed to pursue the lure during Race 2, The AC2 Asphalt 2 Concrete Sprint. Subsequently, 'INKY LORD' was suspended for 28 days and ordered to undergo a satisfactory trial prior to being nominated for any further races. At the hearing held yesterday at Addington Raceway the J.C.A, having viewed the replay vision and taking into account evidence tendered by all parties, found that the Stewards were correct to stand the Greyhound down for breaching Rule 55.1.b.and the review was dismissed.~~

3). CHRISTCHURCH GRC - 16th April 2019:- Trainer J McCook advised that x-rays taken from EPIC BOOM in the days following this meeting showed the Greyhound to have sustained a stress fracture to its hock.~~

JUDICIAL REPORT:-

1). At various times from 7.30am this morning through to Kenneling this afternoon, all bitches engaged for THE FITZ SPORTS BAR NEW ZEALAND OAKS were subjected to having Urine samples taken for the purpose of analysis.~~

2). DYNA MONTY (A Roberts) - was a late scratching from Race 8 this morning after being found to be suffering from Diarrhoea.~~

3). GOLDSTAR MARVELY (S & B Evans) - was a late scratching from Race 8 this morning after vomiting.~~

4). All available films may be further reviewed in the coming days and any matter arising will be dealt with subject to Rule 11.1 (b).

CATHY MAREE (8) - awkwardly placed to the outside of runners entering the bend before being checked from behind losing ground. Vetted following the event and cleared of injury.
Race 2	Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C4 - 295	OHOKA ALEX (1) - boxed first. Slow to jump. Faltered after making possible contact with the running rail rounding the bend losing ground. Continued to lose ground with the field finishing a distance from the winner. Vetted following the event where it was reported the Greyhound to have sustained a laceration on its left hind leg consistent with hitting the running rail and also a torn Gracilis muscle. MITCHAM QUINN (4) - placed in restricted room rounding the bend losing ground. Collided with inside runner exiting the bend. KALONGA (5) - began awkwardly. BILLY FROST (7) - bumped with inside runner entering the bend. Obliged to check outwards off heels rounding the bend. LISA'S BOY (8) - collided with outside runner exiting the bend.
Race 3	A2C Asphalt 2 Concrete Ph 0800222583 Dash - C3 - 295	RAPTOR ATTACK (2) - bumped form the outside in the run to the bend. GOLDSTAR LIBERTY (3) - boxed first. Bumped with inside greyhound in the run to the bend. Squeezed for racing room entering the bend and lost ground. HOMEBUSH PIERCE (5) - placed in restricted room entering the bend losing ground.awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend. KNOW CHARISMA (6) - squeezed for racing room early stages. Raced wide rounding the bend. IT'S A JOKE (8) - came down the track placing pressure on inside greyhounds in the run to the bend.
Race 4	Spectator's Bar & Bistro Sprint - C3 - 295	NIKKO BAXTER (2) - squeezed for racing room rounding the bend and obliged to check outwards off heels. Raced wide final straight. KING KALI (3) - forced down the track early stages. GOLDSTAR AVALON (4) - came down the track early stages forcing inside greyhound down the track. DYNA LENNY (7) - began awkwardly and was slow early stages.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C4 - 295	SMASH DAMAGE (2) - squeezed for racing room entering the bend having to steady and lose momentum. DISSIDENT (3) - checked outwards off heels rounding the bend. ELODEA (4) - forced up the track rounding the bend. SARCASM (7) - boxed first.
Race 6	I Pave Concrete Sprint - C5 - 295	GOLDSTAR SPOTTY (1) - jostled with outside greyhound in the run to the bend. Squeezed for racing room entering the bend and lost ground. GOLDSTAR DODGE (3) - jostled with inside greyhound in the run to the bend. Squeezed for racing room entering the bend and lost ground. NELSO ALLEN (7) - contacted from the outside and forced down the track early stages losing ground.
Race 7	My Bro Fabio Distance - C2d - 645	OPAWA ABBIE JOY (1) - awkwardly placed on heels early stages having to check. Again placed awkwardly on heels shortly afterwards colliding with greyhound to its outside. Bumped with inside greyhound exiting the final bend. AVENGER BALE (3) - contacted from the outside on jumping. GO BELLE (4) - bumped inside greyhound on jumping. DAVE'S DOT (6) - jostled with outside greyhound early stages. Bumped from the inside and forced off heels exiting first turn before being bumped wider on the track. OPAWA HOPE (7) - boxed first. Squeezed for racing room early stages. Bumped with outside runner exiting the first turn. KIA TERE (8) - jostled with inside greyhound early stages. Bumped with outside greyhound exiting the final bend.
Race 8	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C3 - 520	HARD QUESTIONS (2) - checked outwards off heels entering the first turn. LITTLE SECRET (8) - box first.
Race 9	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C4/5 - 520	CARLTONIAN (3) - jostled with outside runner prior to the first bend. Squeezed for racing room entering the first bend. BARGE BALE (4) - jostled with inside runner prior to the first bend. Squeezed for racing room entering the first bend losing ground. GOLDSTAR ASHTON (5) - squeezed for racing room entering the first bend losing ground and being climbed on from behind. ASTRID (6) - squeezed for racing room entering the first bend. KNOW BETRAYAL (9/7) - climbed on heels entering the first bend running up the track as a consequence.
Race 10	The Fitz Sports Bar 2019 NZ Oaks - R/Af - 520	VON STRASS (6) - scratched due to being stood down for Failing to Pursue the Lure in its qualifying heat. BIG LEAGUE DIVA (8) - scratched after coming into season confirmed by a Veterinary report tendered by the connections. GO GLOW (1) - bumped with outside greyhound shortly after jumping. GEM (3) - forced down the track early stages losing ground as a consequence. Bumped outside greyhound exiting the final bend. BUSY FLASH (4) - shifted inwards at the start dictating inside greyhound down the track. Awkwardly placed on heels entering the first bend colliding with outside greyhound. BAHAMA QUEEN (5) - squeezed for racing room entering the first bend losing ground and being checked from behind as a result. OPHELIA ALLEN (7) - placed pressure on inside runner entering the first bend being turned outwards as a consequence. KNOW SHAME (9/6) - contacted from the inside entering the first bend and forced up the track. GAZZA'S GIRL (10/8) - slow to jump. Contacted from the inside exiting the final bend.
Race 11	Flair Sprint Final - C5f - 295	BUSINESS ETHICS (2) - placed in tight quarters rounding the bend losing ground. SMASH WILD (3) - squeezed for racing room entering the bend and lost momentum. PLATINUM MARSHAL (5) - checked outwards off heels rounding the bend tightening outside greyhounds. CHITINA TIN (6) - jostled with outside greyhound in the run to the bend. Placed in tight quarters rounding the bend losing ground. ROCKET RACCOON (7) - jostled with inside greyhound in the run to the bend.
Race 12	RE-ENERGISE Dash - C4 - 295	GOLDSTAR JAY JAY (2) - slow early stages. CUSTOM PAINT (3) - jostled with outside greyhound in the run to the bend. Shifted up the track and faltered rounding the bend before colliding with outside runner losing ground with the field there after. Vetted following the event where it was reported the Greyhound to have a suspected fractured distal metatarsal. This was stabilized and the Greyhound treated with pain killers and anti-inflammatories . Trainer C Weir advised that the greyhound would now be retired and rehomed once recovered. CAWBOURNE BRITTY (4) - jostled with inside greyhound in the run to the bend. Bumped with outside runner prior to the bend. Inconvenienced on several occasions rounding the bend. MISS DUPRE (6) - dictated down the track in the run to the bend. Obliged to check outwards off heels rounding the bend inconveniencing outside greyhound. RING CLOWN (7) - slow early stages. Contacted from the inside prior to the bend. BLACK TORI (8) - forced inside runner down the track in the run to the bend.
