Track: Good The track was well presented but was showing signs of the recent rainfall in the area later in the program but was always considered to be safe for racing. The meeting proceeded smoothly.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Trainer M.Roberts was Fined $ 300-00 under the provisions of Rule 62.1 (cc) of the Minor Infringement Table for a breach of Rule 40.3 when CAWBOURNE KRUSTY was scratched from Race 3 with no valid reason detected by the Vet during examination on two occasions. The Trainer requested a further examination sometime later after the dog was taken away from the kennels but this request was denied by the Stewards after consultation with the Vet. CAWBOURNE KRUSTY was stood down for 28 days under the provisions of Rule 40.7.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305	ZARA ZARA (2) - checked going to the first turn and went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder. SCOOBASI (3) - shifted in going to the first turn and checked an inside runner which went back to last. BIGTIME SERENA (4) - crowded after the start and lost momentum briefly but recovered to finish 2nd. UNO ELEVEN (5) - crowded from the start and stayed well back for the remainder and finished 7th. TIGER UPPERCUT (6) - shifted in from the start and crowded inside runners which were inconvenienced.
Race 2	WHANGANUI CHRONICLE C2 - C2 - 305	EYE FAR was a late scratching due to a small hind leg laceration. CAWBOURNE AGAR (1) - was slow away from the start and got back. Checked into the bend and stayed well back. RENEGADE COMET (4) - bumped and lost momentum after the start. MR. POSTMAN (6) - bumped after the start and briefly unbalanced losing ground. HOMEBUSH MINNIE (7) - slow to begin and got back. Badly checked into the bend and was classed as falling and referred to the Vet. Has a fan muscle injury with a 5 days stand down. LET'S GO SPRITE (8) - shifted in after the start and crowded inside runners which were inconvenienced.
Race 3	PALMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1/C2 - C1/2d - 645	CAWBOURNE KRUSTY was a late scratching due to a reported hock injury. However, on examination, the Vet was unable to find anything which would prevent the dog from racing and this resulted in a 28 day stand down being imposed. Refer to Judicial section. LADY JELLYBEAN (1) - raced wide during parts of the race and covered extra ground as a result. BIGTIME CHLOE (4) - settled back from the start and stayed there throughout the race. DIAMOND GEEZER (7) - covered extra ground while racing wide at some stages during the race. ROSE AND CROWN (9/5) - raced wide at times during the race and stayed back to finish last.
Race 4	J P PRINT C5 - C5 - 305	HARD MERCH (1) - began awkwardly and got back where he stayed throughout. BUTTERBALL (2) - slow from the start and stayed well back throughout. JUSTA GIFT (7) - Began awkwardly losing ground and finished in 5th place
Race 5	WANGANUI TOYOTA C2/C3 - C2/3 - 520	BIGTIME MIKE (4) - in contact into the first turn and was checked and unbalanced losing four lengths. MIDSOMER MAGIC (5) - slow to begin and got back. In contact into first turn and inconvenienced briefly. THRILLING EDDIE (6) - was awkwardly placed between runners into the first turn and was checked back to last and stayed there throughout the remainder. IDOL ALAN (7) - slow away from the start and settled back.
Race 6	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2/C3 - C2/3 - 305	JINJA RULES (2) - eased off heels into the first turn. In contact and was briefly unbalanced soon after and stayed back to finish 2nd last. GAZZA'S GIRL (3) - shifted out abruptly from the start and inconvenienced another runner which settled back. CAWBOURNE MOSS (5) - in contact and was unbalanced and lost momentum into the first turn and stayed well back. REPLICA RANGO (7) - inconvenienced after the start and settled well back and stayed there throughout.
Race 7	NZ Racing Series Graduation (C2-C3) Final - NZRSf - 520	BIGTIME ROCCO (2) - in contact on the first bend and checked losing two lengths but recovered to go on and finished 2nd. OPAWA DENISE (5) - crowded into the first turn and shifted out into contact and lost ground. SUB EIGHTEEN (7) - in contact on the first bend and was checked and went back to the rear and stayed there to finish last. GO GLOW (8) - bumped and inconvenienced into the first bend and lost momentum. Inconvenienced by a retreating runner on the first bend and stayed well back.
Race 8	THE ROCK 92.2 FM C4 - C4 - 305	IDOL HOT (3) - in contact from the start and settled back but made up ground to finish 3rd. BIGTIME MINNIE (4) - in contact from the start and settled back and stayed there throughout. COCO BANGO (6) - shifted out going into the bend and forced another runner wide over extra ground. AL'S APPRENTICE (9/8) - forced wide over extra ground into the bend and stayed well back for the remainder.
Race 9	Wanganui Distance (Group 1) Final - C2df - 755	GOLDSTAR SYDNEY (3) - forced to go wide into the first bend over extra ground and stayed back to finish with the last few runners. MIJA SYDNEY (4) - tightened between runners into the first turn and went back to the rear and stayed well back. KNOW PUDDING (7) - was the slowest to begin and settled back but made up ground for 4th place.
Race 10	FIRST SECURITY C4 - C4 - 520	DYNA MONTY (1) - shifted out into home straight forcing other runners wide. QUISTIS BALE (3) - hampered in the early stages and settled back but made up ground for 4th place. BIGTIME LEADS (5) - bumped after start and got back. Forced wide into home straight and stayed back to finish last.
Race 11	RIVERCITY GAS C2/C3 - C2/3 - 305	ALAMEIN STRYDA (1) - slow away from the start and settled back. BIGTIME JASMINE (2) - slow away from the start but made up ground well to finish 2nd. AMERICANO (5) - raced wide on the bend covering extra ground and finished 4th. BACON MY HEART (7) - one of slowest to begin. Checked and fell entering home straight but regained feet to finish. Referred to the Vet and found to have calf muscle pain with a 7 days stand down. BIGTIME BOY (8) - raced wide over extra ground on the bend.
Race 12	LASER PLUMBING C2/C3 - C2/3 - 305	SOZIN'S NOIR (2) - awkwardly placed and unbalanced into the first turn and lost momentum. IT'S COMPLICATED (3) - jostled for some distance going to the first turn but recovered well to go on and win. EYE KNO (4) - jostled and unbalanced in the race to the first turn and lost ground. ALAMEIN LADY (5) - raced wide on the bend over extra ground and finished well back. JERICHO WARRIOR (6) - Tightened between runners after the start and got back. Raced wide over extra ground on the bend and stayed back to finish last. HIP HOP RAPPER (8) - jostled going to the first turn and was unbalanced briefly.
