Track: Good The track was well prepared and the meeting proceeded smoothly apart from the communication issue prior to Race 11.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: BLUE WHIZZ was a late scratching from Race 1 due to an infected tail wound. EIGHT OH THREE was a late scratching from Race 6 due to thigh muscle pain. LITTLE TORNADO was a late scratching from Race 7 due to a tensor fascia lata muscle injury. MIDNIGHT MOLLY was a late scratching from Race 12 due to a wart on a foot. SLY CATH was a late scratching from Race 8 due to a vehicle breakdown. CAPTAIN KATE was a late scratching from Race 6 under Rule 52.9 after having a paw caught in the starting box grill which affected her chance of a fair start. She was stood down for 7 days with shoulder pain on both sides.

AHUROA PANTHER (7) - slow to begin losing three lengths and stayed back throughout to finish last. CLAUSEN JEWEL (8) - slow to begin and settled back.
Race 2	WHANGANUI CHRONICLE CO Ht1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1	BIGTIME BEE (5) - was slow away from the boxes and settled back but improved quickly and led into the back straight and eventually finished 4th. DIAMOND GEEZER (6) - raced a little wide covering extra ground but still finished in 2nd place. JETLAG JAG (7) - hampered going to the first corner and settled back where he stayed for the remainder.
Race 3	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C0 Ht2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2	SEDGEBROOK SAINT (1) - led for most of the race but tired badly over the final stages and finished 2nd last. This was the dogs first race beyond a sprint distance. BIGTIME PAIGE (4) - crowded and checked going to first turn and went back to the rear. LIZZY O'SHEA (6) - checked going to the first turn and went back to near the rear. ZARA JINX (7) - eased on the home turn and was referred to the Vet and found to have painful femoris muscle with a 21 days stand down. Required to complete satisfactory trial before next racing. GRUNTY MAMA (8) - checked and turned sideways into the first turn and lost momentum.
Race 4	WANGANUI TOYOTA C1 - C1 - 305	CAWBOURNE LYNS (1) - slow to begin and stayed back throughout. MAGMA (2) - slow to begin but made up ground to finish in 4th place. COOL WOLF (3) - crowded going to the first turn and lost momentum. HE'S A SHARKIE (4) - slow to begin and settled back. Bumped and unbalanced going into the bend and stayed back for the remainder OUTA SIMS (5) - crowded going to the first turn and lost momentum for a short distance. BIGTIME PEARL (6) - shifted in abruptly going to the first turn and tightened inside runners which were checked.
Race 5	J P PRINT PETONE C1 - C1 - 520	BIGTIME ROD (1) - shifted out going to the first turn and bumped another runner which was forced wide. DREAM ON DREAMER (4) - bumped and forced wide into the first turn over extra ground. IDOL JAZZ (7) - slow away from the start and stayed well back.
Race 6	AON CPF C1 - C1 - 305	MISS WIGGLE (6) - jostled after the start and lost momentum. BIGTIME JASMINE (8) - Ran wide into the home straight covering extra ground.
Race 7	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305	LIGHTNING LU (6) - bumped and unbalanced into the bend but recovered quickly. KILLER FROST (8) - forced wide over extra ground on the bend and stayed back to finish last.
Race 8	CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES HERE DECEMBER C1 - C1 - 305	BIGTIME HEARTY (2) - chec ked going into the bend and settled back and stayed there for the remainder. FLYING CANARY (3) - checked after the start and settled back. IDOL JAN (6) - shifted in abruptly from the start and bumped another runner which was hampered. PRINCESS PEA (7) - shifted in abruptly into the bend and caused checks to other runners. LISSADELL BABE (9/1) - checked going into the bend and stayed back to finish last.
Race 9	HATRICK DASH C1 - C1 - 305	INDY'S BOY (2) - shifted out after the start and contributed to tightening to other runners. CRACKLE (3) - received an interrupted run to the first corner and went back to near the rear and stayed back throughout. COCKNEY RIP OFF (4) - tightened and checked after the start and went back to the rear and stayed there. Referred to the Vet and found to have metatarsal pain with a 5 days stand down. HOMEBUSH RIEKO (5) - slow to begin losing three lengths but recovered well to finish in 4th place. BIGTIME HOLLY (6) - shifted in from the start and caused crowding and checks to inside runners for a short distance.
Race 10	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 1 WIN - C1 - 520	TUFF JEWEL (1) - checked from behind into the final bend and lost momentum and finished in last place. HERE'S HEMI (6) - ran wide over ground on first bend. Checked over heels into final bend and lost momentum. TIDDY CASH (8) - raced wide on the first bend. Checked and forced wide into the final bend and was inconvenienced and lost ground.
Race 11	FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305	The start was delayed by several minutes due to a communication error between starter and Lure Driver and this resulted in the dogs being removed from the boxes and checked by the Vet before the race was started. JELANI (4) - crowded and checked after the start and lost ground. BUZZY GEM (5) - crowded and checked after the start and stayed back for the remainder to finish last. CAWBOURNE MACK (9/3) - raced very wide over extra ground on the bend and finished well back.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 - C1 - 520	SMASH ROCK (3) - was awkwardly placed between runners on the bend and was inconvenienced and lost momentum briefly.
Race 13	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 1 WIN - C1 - 305	VIKING ASH (1) - was in contact and inconvenienced going into the bend. PRETTIEST EYES (2) - in contact and unbalanced at the start. Checked going into the bend and went back to the rear and stayed back for the remainder. FLYING HUEY (3) - in contact and unbalanced from the start and stayed back to finish in last place. JAX JEWEL (9/4) - began awkwardly losing three lengths but recovered to make up ground to finish in 3rd place.
Race 14	LASER PLUMBING C1 - C1 - 305	AHUROA FLYER (1) - galloped on the back of another runner into the bend and lost several lengths and all chance and finished last. SUBWAY KAY (2) - was prominent into the bend but was galloped on and went back to the rear and never recovered. CAWBOURNE CHOPS (5) - was hampered going into the bend and again when bumped entering the home straight and finished well back. IDOL LITTLE GIRL (8) - was slow away from the start losing three lengths but did make up some ground.
Race 15	MAX REFIGERATION C2 - C2 - 305	DE BLONDE (1) - checked going into the bend and went back to the rear but ran on to finish 5th. BREED APART (2) - slow to begin losing two lengths but made up ground to finish 4th. EL HEFE (8) - Raced wide over extra ground on the bend.
