Track: Good Track was presented in a good racing condition being well maintained throughout. All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: BIGTIME REECE ( L Cole ) suffered a frature to the off hind hock during pre race trials and was euthanased.
BIGTIME IVO race 1 # 8( G & S Fredrickson ) was a late scratching at kenneling.
TUFF KNIGHT race 2 # 2 ( B Mitchell ) was a late scratching at kenneling.
OPAWA DENISE race 2 # 4 ( N Udy ) was a late scratching at pre race presentation.
The Lure driver was spoken to after the running of race 8 to make sure that the lure is at least the required distance in front of the leading dog.
The Stewards reviewed the running of this race and were satisfied that no runners were affected in the run around the bend in to the home straight and the payout was Authorised.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305	BIGTIME IVO was a late scratching due to symptoms of kennel cough a 21 day stand down was recommended. ANOTHER FLAG (1) - hampered racing in to the bend losing a couple of lengths finished in the midfield at the line. TYNECASTLE FLYER (5) - dwelt and was last into stride -made some ground in the run to the line.
Race 2	WHANGANUI CHRONICLE C2 F - C2f - 520	TUFF KNIGHT was a late scratching due to a painful lump under pad on near hind a 5 day stand down was recommended. OPAWA DENISE was a late scratching at pre race presentation when found to be in season a 28 day stand down was recommended IRIS ALLEN referred to the vet where no abnormalities were found. IRIS ALLEN (3) - began awkwardly for a stride or so - forced to race wide in to the back straight losing ground back to last in the running - was unable to get back in to contention was referred to teh vet . OPAWA DENISE (4) - began awkwardly for a stride or so-forced out wide racing in to the back straight -lost some ground to race several lengths in the rear was unable to improve finishing in the rear at the line was referred to the vet
Race 3	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C2 - C2 - 305	MARK BE GOOD (2) - raced handy to the bend was then tightened and jostled between runners losing momentum and ground back to the rear . SHAKTI (3) - raced handy on to the top bend -was clipped from behind losing momentum and ground was unable to finish on. BIGTIME HUNTER (5) - settled back -angled out over heels racing on to the top bend -soon after checked abruptly outwards off heels checking runner to his outer nearing the home turn RUNNING FREER (6) - began very awkwardly stumbling going down on his nose on the mat and was last in to stride by 5 or so lengths - made good ground through the field to finish on. LET'S GO SPRITE (8) - angled across soon after the start causing jostling and tightening to several runners to his inner in the run to the bend. OPAWA BUCKS (9/4) - bumped jostled and checked back losing ground racing in to the bend ran wide and was checked wider nearing the home turn losing all chance.
Race 4	J P PRINT PETONE C2 - C2 - 520	BIGTIME SANDY referred to the vet and was found to have pain in the right shoulder a 10 day stand down was recommended. GENTLEMAN TIM (2) - hampered for a couple of strides racing in to and around the first bend -forced to check off heels and raced wide in to the back straight- raced widest thereafter making good ground to finish in 3rd placing at the line. METEOR VEGE (5) - tightened between runners and checked back racing to the bend on the first occasion BIGTIME SANDY (6) - jostled soon after the start and again when racing between runners racing in to the bend on the first occasion - ran wide in to and around the bend losing ground to be a clear last in the running was unable to improve thereafter was referred to the vet TIPPERARY MEL (7) - ran inwards from the jump bumping and jostling runners to her inner for several strides DREAM KAY (8) - Ran wide in to the bend on the first occasion.
Race 5	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C5 - C5 - 305	JINJA LOREN (1) - tightened and checked racing in to the bend -was able to recover lost ground quickly to be handy on to home turn. BIGTIME BASHER (2) - fav- tightened and jostled in the run in to the bend was able to hold his position. BIGTIME EVE (3) - tightened and jostled between runners losing momentum and a few lengths racing in to the bend. SMASH CHARGER (5) - jostled and went sideways soon after the start clipped heels and stumbled slightly losing momentum racing in to the bend was unable to get back in to contention. RAIN AND TEARS (6) - away well unable to clear runners -angled inwards causing herself to be checked and went back to the rear racing in to the bend -made some ground along the inner to finish in midfield at the line. HYPOCRITICAL (8) - forced to race widest throughout finished on in the run to the line.
Race 6	AON CPF C3 - C3 - 520	ARGUS FILCH (2) - began awkwardly and was last into stride BIGTIME SERENA (5) - angled down to the rail checking following runner racing in to the far bend. BIGTIME ZACK (8) - ran wide in to the bend on the first occasion and was held up for a few strides when attempting to clear heels and was widest in to the back straight. BIGTIME KATE (9/1) - settled midfield on the inner - came back off heels on the far bend losing ground - ran wide in to the home straight only battled thereafter.
Race 7	FIRST SECURITY C3 Ht1 - C3q - 305 Heat 1	ALAMEIN TIGER (3) - attempted to push outwards in the run to the bend -came out over heels on the top bend raced extremely wide in to and down the home straight. BIGTIME SPARK (4) - pushed outwards and jostled between runners racing in to the bend was then checked and clipped from behind losing momentum ALAMEIN TANE (6) - bumped and jostled for some distance in the run in to the bend- ran on to heels and checked back abruptly losing momentum and ground. SOZIN'S FORTUNE (8) - missed the jump by 5 or more lengths made good ground wide in to and across the top bend ran home strongly
Race 8	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C3 Ht2 - C3q - 305 Heat 2	POLLY THE DOLLY referred to the vet and was found to have pain in right satorius & left deltoid area's and mild pain on left fore tendon a 10 day stand down was recommended. BIGTIME CONRAD referred to the vet and was found to have pain in the right satorius & distal third tensor facia lata and a minor cut to the left hind 5th digit The Lure driver was spoken to after the running of this race due to the length of the lure in the run around the bend to the home straight. BIGTIME CONRAD (1) - was last into stride and was severely tightened when improving up along the inner making contact with the rail racing in to the bend losing all chance and was referred to the vet POLLY THE DOLLY (2) - severely tightened and checked going down on her haunches and losing all chance racing in to the bend -finished on to the lure and was referred to the vet. BIGTIME OTTEY (3) - severely tightened and checked racing in to the bend losing all chance. IDOL NIFTY (5) - fav- dwelt at the jump settled midfield early- improved in to the body of the field entering the bend causing interference to runners on the inner. KING'S CALL (7) - angled across and was hampered losing momentum for a couple of strides racing in to the bend.
Race 9	THE ROCK 95.2FM C4 - C4 - 520	BIGTIME FRED (2) - tightened and jostled when racing between runners for some strides in the run in to the bend on the first occasion. BIGTIME FOREST (3) - hampered and jostled for several strides in the run to the bend on the first occasion ARDEN EMGRAND (4) - dwelt at the jump -angled out over heels to race widest in to the bend on the first occasion BIGTIME MIA (5) - jostled for a couple of strides soon after the start. ALL ABOUT SPACE (6) - held up and came back off heels losing a few lengths and was unable to get back in to contention thereafter. racing around the bend on the first occasion BIGTIME LEVI (7) - fav-checked when contacted in the hindquarters when angling across racing in to the bend on the first occasion -was able to keep his ground.
Race 10	Waterloo Cup (Group 1) Heat - C5 - 520	BIGTIME TWINKLE referred to the vet was found to have a fractured right hock and lacerations and was sutured and bandaged given pain relief for return to home kennels a 3 month stand down was recommended. DYNA VERNON referred to the vet generalised muscle pain a 7 day stand down was recommended. DJAY DYNAMIX (2) - dwelt at the jump last in to the bend on the first occasion -was hampered for a couple of strides in the run around to the back straight. CAWBOURNE KRUSTY (3) - racing in tight quarters in to the bend on the first occasion was severely checked outwards abruptly causing severe interference to runners on the outer and lost all chance thereafter. DIRK BALE (5) - hampered racing in to the bend on the first occasion -was then checked from behind as runners were pushed outwards losing momentum ground and was unable to get back in to contention. DYNA VERNON (7) - angled across racing in to the bend on the first occasion and was checked outwards on to hindquarters being severely unbalanced losing all chance finished on to the lure and was referred to the vet BIGTIME TWINKLE (8) - angled across in the run to the bend on the first occasion ran in to the hind of runner ahead and was checked outwards abruptly going off stride and pulled up soon after and was referred to the vet
Race 11	WANGANUI TOYOTA C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	ALAMEIN STRYDA (1) - checked in to the bend losing momentum and several lengths- raced midfield to the home turn weakened in the run to the line. BUTTERBALL (4) - jostled and bumped in the run in to the bend - ran wide out over heels nearing the home turn to be widest in to the home straight. JINJA RULES (6) - was bumped and jostled for some strides in the run to the bend as runner on his outer attempted to angle across- he recovered well to finish on. BIGTIME EMJAY (7) - hampered soon after the start when checking outwards to avoid heels -soon after ran in to the hind of a runner coming back and was checked losing momentum and all chance thereafter- was checked on the line when contacted in the hindquarters BIGTIME MINNIE (8) - was jostled and bumped when attempting to angle across racing to the bend going back on to following runner racing into the bend losing all chance thereafter- ran in to the hindquarters of runner to her inner on the line.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	CAWBOURNE DORA (1) - began awkwardly for a stride or so but was quickly in to stride to lead. FEEL THE FORCE (6) - after a fair start she angled in across heels to the rail having to check off heels in to the bend and was held up in the rear for some strides when unable to make ground along the inner finishing in the rear at the line.
