Track: Good - Downgraded to dead prior to Race 2. Race 11 was put back 2 minutes due to remedial work being required to the track just past the winning post. This was quickly rectified and monitored for the remainder of the meeting.

Judicial report: SUPPLEMENTRY REPORT:-

The J.C.A received a Review lodged by Mr. Calum Weir against a decision handed down by the Racing Integrity Unit Stewards at Christchurch GRC's Meeting on the 23rd February 2018.
The Stewards determined, under the provisions of Greyhound Racing New Zealand's Rule 55.1.b, that his greyhound ‘SAVING LOTS’ had failed to pursue the lure during Race 9, The Turf Bar Stakes. Subsequently, "SAVING LOTS" was suspended for 12 months (3rd Offence) and ordered to undergo a satisfactory trial prior to being nominated for any further races. At the hearing held today at Addington raceway the J.C.A, having viewed the replay vision and taking into account evidence tendered by Stewards and Mr Weir, found that it was correct for the Stewards to form the opinion that the greyhound “SAVING LOTS” had failed to pursue the lure and the review was dismissed.

1). CORNALI (J Jopson) - was a late scratching at kenneling after being found to have a laceration to its right front pad.
2). All available films will be further reviewed in the coming days and any matter arising will be dealt with subject to Rule 11.1 (b)

FERAL KAIAKA (2) - collided with inside runner prior to the bend. Checked off heels entering the bend. DIME DIVA (3) - quick early. Contacted from behind exiting the bend. WE ROCKING (4) - checked off heels entering the bend. LORD PROTECTOR (5) - awkwardly placed on heels exiting the bend.
Race 4	Chris & Lisa Earl Sprint - C1 - 295	OPAWA SLEDGE (10/1) - collided with outside runner prior to exiting the bend. SOZIN'S ANGEL (4) - quick early. GOLDSTAR LINKIN (5) - awkwardly placed on heels entering bend and had to steady. MAMMA ROSE (6) - boxed first. Collided with outside runner prior to the bend. Awkwardly placed on heels rounding the bend and lost momentum checking runner. DYNA ULYSSES (7) - collided with inside runner prior to the bend. Awkwardly placed to the outside of runner and lost balance rounding the bend. Checked rounding the bend. Collided with inside runner prior to exiting the bend. FERAL WHANAU (8) - slow early. Held up for racing room rounding the bend.
Race 5	The Turf Bar Stakes - C0 - 520	PAT ALLIE (10/2) - quick to jump. Collided with outside runner rounding first bend. LUCKY BLAIR (3) - squeezed for racing room prior to the first bend. Collided with runner rounding first bend. DARLING AFFAIR (7) - slow early. Collided with outside runner in the run to first bend. WHERE'S SNOOPY (8) - collided with inside runner in the run to the first bend. Wide rounding first bend.
Race 6	Happy Birthday Lisa Waretini Sprint - C1 - 295	TERRA BINDI (1) - slow early. Jostled with inside runner in the run to the bend before losing ground with the field. Subjected to a post race Veterinary examination which revealed the bitch to have a torn left gracilis with a 28 day stand down imposed. Trainer R Casey advised the bitch would be retired from racing. MITCHAM READO (3) - collided with outside runner early stages. Placed awkwardly to the inside of runner rounding the bend. JUST JAMES (4) - squeezed for racing room early stages. Jostled with inside runner in the run to the bend. BELFAST DELANIE (5) - contacted from outside at the start before being squeezed for racing room. IT'S A MUST (7) - came down the track colliding with inside runner early stages. CHIPPY JORDY (8) - quick early. Akwardly placed to the outside of runner rounding the bend and lost balance momentarily.

LOOSE DONALD (5) - contacted room behind entering the first bend losing ground. Contacted again shortly afterwards. OPAWA AL (6) - climbed on heels entering the first bend. ANOTHER MESSAGE (7) - quick to jump. Weakened final stages. GOTCHA ROCKY (8) - slow early.

DUNK IT (3) - climbed on heels rounding the bend. LITTLE SNICKO (4) - squeezed for racing room entering the first bend and lost momentum before being checked from behind losing further momentum. TALK SOON (5) - slow to jump. checked wider on the track entering the bend. STARBURST EMMA (7) - squeezed and lost balance entering the bend.
Race 9	Happy Birthday Pud Munro Stakes - C1 - 520	KAY BOMB (9/2) - collided with outside runner early stages. Ran wide rounding first bend. Faltered and lost contact with the field approaching the final bend. Stood down for 21 days having been found to have a strained left hock and pain on back extension. ALLEN MACK (3) - collided with inside runner early stages. EYREWELL MARTIN (4) - collided with outside runner entering the first bend and lost balance for a stride. Dragged down rounding final bend losing ground. KNOW POTENTIAL (5) - checked outwards off heels entering the first bend. BOOKIE MONSTER (6) - quick early.
