Judicial report: 1) Due to persistent heavy rain in the Canterbury area in the preceding 24 hours the track was inspected at 7.15am by Stewards and Club representatives with the decision made to continue with the meeting. 2) SMOKEY ACTION (R1) was a scratching under Rule 40.6 due to having a change of trainer. 3) WOW MADONNA (R10) was a scratching approved by Stewards due to a Trainer's health issue. 4) KNOW JINX (R8) was a late scratching when found to have triceps muscle bruising on retrieval from kennels. 5) INVINCIBLE SUE (R9) was a late scratching when found to be in season on retrieval from kennels.
