ALCUDIA ( 3 ) - bumped and jostled for a stride or so in the run to the bend BOTANY DIANNE ( 6 ) - raced widest throughout. HOTDOG SHANNON ( 7 ) - angled across from the start hampering runners on her inner for a few strides. CAWBOURNE STICK ( 9/4 ) - tightened and jostled soon after the start |
| Race 2 | FIRST SECURITY C2 - C2 - 305 | UNO NATHAN ( 3 ) - forced to checked abruptly off heels losing momentum nearing the home turn. and was referred to the vet and was found to have pain over the left gracilis muscle. ON DA QUEST ( 4 ) - angled outwards soon after the start forcing runners on outer wide to the bend- hampered for some strides in the run across the top bend MARK BE GOOD ( 5 ) - tightened and checked between runners nearing the home turn losing momentum. JAMACIA MISTACIA ( 7 ) - checked soon after the start CAWBOURNE SANDY ( 9/8 ) - slow away improved wide out across the top bend- checked near the home turn. |
| Race 3 | THE ROCK 95.2FM C3 - C3 - 520 | ELECTRIC LOTTO ( 1 ) - checked and pushed sideways losing momentum in the run to the first bend recovered well. BIGTIME MONTY ( 2 ) - tightened and checked severely back to the rear in the early stages was unable to get in to contention thereafter referred to the vet. and was found to be clear of abnormalities. BIGTIME ONFIRE ( 3 ) - jostled and severely checked back towards the rear in the early stages was unable to get in to contention there after referred to the vet and was found to have pain over right hock. AUDACIOUS ASSASSIN ( 4 ) - began awkwardly soon after was bumped and jostled in the early stages losing several lengths. RIDIN' SHOTGUN ( 5 ) FAV - severely bumped and jostled in the run to the first bend recovered quickly to improve towards the leaders finished on best. BIGTIME LIGHT ( 6 ) - checked soon after the start raced widest in to and around the bend to the back straight. BIGTIME EVE ( 7 ) - angled across sharply from the jump causing interference to several runners in the run to the first bend -she was soon after checked in to the bend by outside runner attempting to cross to the rail BIGTIME LIAM ( 8 ) - dwelt at the start quickly in to stride angled across to the rail and lead in to the first bend tightening and checking runner on his inner racing in to the first bend. |
| Race 4 | PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | BIGTIME SUGAR ( 1 ) fav - wasn't quickest in to stride settled midfield ran on. SKETCHY CHIEF ( 3 ) - bumped with runner on outer racing in to the bend losing a couple of length or so. BIGTIME JANE ( 5 ) - racing in to the bend was bumped outwards making hard contact with runner on outer. BIGTIME ELLIE ( 6 ) - racing in to the bend angled in between runners clipping the hind of runner ahead was then bumped from behind going sideways and losing ground. LOVER ( 8 ) - checked off heels in to bend forced to race wide when attempting to improve from the rear. |
| Race 5 | LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | BIGTIIME THINKER ( 1 ) - bumped and jostled for some strides in the run to the bend where he was severely checked and lost ground SOZIN'S NIOR ( 2 ) - bumped and jostled with runner on his inner for some distance to the bend where he was checked again losing ground. BIGTIME STU ( 3 ) - ran inwards soon after start bumping and jostling with runner on his inner for a couple of strides ran on to heels racing in to bend losing momentum. CAWBOURNE KAZ ( 4 ) - caught in behind runners and checked racing in to the bend losing momentum. OPAWA CRYSTAL ( 5 ) - racing in to bend checked out off and over heels. BIGTIME OPAL ( 6 ) fav - only fairly away in the initial stages - got to lead before bend and was able to get a break on the field due to interference to other runners in behind. BIGTIME BASHER ( 7 ) - angled across racing to the bend causing tightening on his inner soon after was bumped outwards losing a couple of lengths -was clipped from behind and almost dragged down on the top bend finishing in the rear at the line was referred to the vet and was found to have a split webbing on the near hind. BIGTIME REDFOO ( 8 ) - hampered and forced widest in to the bend. |
| Race 6 | HATRICK STAKES C2 - C2 - 520 | ALZHEIMER'S ( 1 ) - came together with runner on her inner at the post on the first occasion soon after drifted out to finish a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet where no abnormalities were found. at this time. THRILLING STAN ( 9/4 ) - tightened in making hard contact with the rail at the post on the first occasion losing momentum and ground finishing well back and was referred to the vet and was found to have pain over the right triceps. |
| Race 7 | LASER PLUMBING WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305 | OPAWA MAF ( 2 ) - checked in to first bend when midfield then moved outwards losing a couple more lengths. ELECTRIC DANDY ( 3 ) - stood when the lids went up missing the start by a margin ran wide in to the home straight when well out of contention. |
| Race 8 | WANGANUI CHRONICLE C2 - C2 - 520 | GENTLEMEN JIM ( 1 ) - checked in to the first bend when clipped from behind ran wide in to and along the back straight. JINJA LOREN ( 2 ) - THRILLING ROCKY ( 3 ) - bumped at the start caught heels checked back recovered well ALLEGRO BEATY ( 6 ) - bumped at start -tightened and hampered racing in to the first bend BIGTIME SANDY ( 7 ) - angled inwards in to the first bend -had to check off heels and ran widest thereafter covering a fair amount of extra ground in the running. WATCH MY BACK ( 10 ) - ran in from the jump bumping in to runner on inner then was then bumped from the outer recovered well. |
| Race 9 | Christchurch Casino NZ Greyhound Cup Prelude - C5 - 520 | BIGTIME LEVI ( 1 ) - checked racing in to the first bend lost ground recovered well finished best BIGTIME FRED ( 2 ) - checked in to first bend ran on to heels checked outwards NITEHAWK ROSE ( 3 ) - went up with the lids last in to the first bend gained a run along the rail finished on. ME JANE ( 6 ) fav- dwelt at the start -jostled between runners in to the bend and checked went back towards the rear- soon after checked and lost momentum racing in to the back straight dropping back to a clear last in the running was unable to improve thereafter finishing in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet where no abnormalities were found. |

BIGTIME RACER ( 2 ) - jostled with runner on inner for a couple of strides racing in to the bend and went back a length or so BIGTIME BOY ( 5 ) - missed the jump by 5 lengths last in to the bend made good ground in to 4th placing at the line. HU XIAN ( 5 ) - in the run to the bend attempted to angle across and was held out resulting in the dog being severely bumped checked and jostled and drifted out to the rear finished on past the line and was referred to the vet BIGTIME CHAMP ( 7 ) - angled across sharply near the bend causing tightening and checks to runners in behind. ALLEGRO BEAU ( 8 ) - ran in to the back of the field as they were pulling up to the lure and was referred to the vet. |
