Race 1 ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305 The race was all clear.
Race 2 WANGANUI CHRONICLE C0 - C0 - 305 BIGTIME LIAM (1) - Was the slowest to begin losing three lengths but made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. LADY SWAGGER (8) - Was down in weight by 2.6 kilograms for a new Trainer and this was an intentional decrease. She began well but then drifted over the middle stages and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet and found to have an injury to the left hind quadricep.
Race 3 METEOR OPD WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 520 CAWBOURNE LICK (3) - Was a little slow to begin and was crowded soon after and settled at the rear and stayed well back throughout. GRAEMES PICK (4) - Was hampered going into the back straight and went back to the rear where he stayed for the remainder.
Race 4 ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C1 - C1 - 305 MARY BLUE BLOOD (4) - Was checked going to the first turn and lost four lengths and all chance and she stayed back to finish last. DON'T MENTION IT (5) - Was bumped and unbalanced when the start was made and she settled back and stayed there throughout. SET THE LIMIT (6) - Was bumped and inconvenienced when the start was made and she settled back and stayed there to eventually finish in 6th place.
Race 5 J P PRINT PETONE C1 - C1 - 305 FEAR THE BEARD (4) - Was bumped and lost momentum after the start and stayed well back from there. TO MUCH ANDRE (5) - Was bumped after the start but recovered quickly. UNO AGAIN (6) - Was bumped after the start and he settled back and stayed there. BOTANY DIANNE (7) - Bumped and lost ground after the start.
Race 6 LASER PLUMBING C1 - C1 - 305 CRYSTAL MCBELL (1) - Was slow to begin and she settled back and stayed there throughout to finish last. ROCKY'S TO MUCH (2) - Was also slow away from the boxes and stayed back throughout to finish in 7th place.
Race 7 AON CPF C1 - C1 - 305 MIDHURST MUSCLE (2) - Was bumped and unbalanced soon after the start and he went back to near the rear and never recovered. HOMEBUSH ARIEL (3) - Received an interrupted run in the back straight and went back several places and never recovered. UNACCUSTOMED (4) - Began very awkwardly losing four lengths and stayed well back throughout. LITTLE SNICKO (6) - Was bumped when the start was made and was unbalanced but recovered quickly.
Race 8 PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 305 YOU BETCHA BECKY (2) - Was bumped and unbalanced going into the bend and continued to jostle for several strides and stayed well back. OHOKA BRAXTON (5) - Weighed in 1.9 kilograms underweight from his last start and this was an intentional decrease and for a new Trainer. Was slow to begin and settled back and he then ran very wide on the bend covering extra ground. BUDDY SWIFT (8) - Was slow to begin and settled back. Jostled with another runner for some distance going into the bend and was eventually checked and fell but regained his feet to finish the race. Was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 9 WANGANUI TOYOTA C1 - C1 - 305 The race was all clear.
Race 10 FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305 RALLY SARIOUS (2) - Was slow to begin losing three lengths and he stayed back near the rear throughout. BIGTIME BOY (7) - Was slow away from the boxes losing three lengths but made up ground to finish 4th. DOUBLE ICE (8) - Was bumped going into the bend, went off stride and eased up and finished the race a distance behind the other runners. Was referred to the Vet and found to have injuries to both gracilis muscles.
Race 11 LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305 CAWBOURNE DORA (3) - was checked and dropped back going into the bend and was galloped on and stayed back to finish near the rear. ASTERIA (8) - Was checked and fell when unable to avoid a retreating runner going into the bend. Regained her feet and finished the race and was referred to the Vet and found to have a laceration near the tail.
Race 12 BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C2 - C2 - 305 YOU'RE THE BEST (4) - Was awkwardly positioned going into the bend and was held up for several strides and stayed back for the remainder. NGAKAWAU (5) - Was also awkwardly positioned going into the bend and and was held up and stayed back to finish in last place.
