Judicial report: (1) REPLICA CASINO (B.Pringle) required to complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 48.13 when turning in the boxes at the start of Race 2. (2) Race 3 was declared a No Race under Rule 52.1 and abandoned under Rule 52.6 (see report below). (3) GRANNY MAGNET (J.Dunn) suspended for 28 days under Rule 55.1b for failing to pursue in Race 4 and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. (4) OPAWA BUCKS EYE (L.Anderton) suspended for 28 days under Rule 55.1a for marring in Race 4 and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. (5) OITY ALLEN (C.Roberts) in race 12 suspended for 3 months under Rule 55.1a for a second offence of marring and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. (6) CACTUS JACK (J&D Fahey) completed 10 clear runs since suspension under Rule 55.1 with endorsement cancelled in accordance with Rule 55.7.

Race 1	OGRC Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310	HOMEBUSH SPUD (1) - scrambled at the jump losing momentum. Severely checked into turn losing all chance and clipping feet of another runnner. UNCLE JOCK (2) - jumped awkwardly losing ground early. Ran wide in straight. GOLDSTAR LOTTIE (4) - shifted inwards into turn severely checking runner to inside and then momentarily unbalanced when rear feet clipped. REPLICA RANGO (5) - bumped another runner into turn losing momentum. FIERY JADE (7) - slow to jump then turned sideways and ran wide into turn when bumped by trailing runner. Ran wide in straight.
Race 2	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 310	HARRIET THE SPY (1) - slow to jump. Brushed running rail into turn then ran wide dictating another runner wide on the track. REPLICA CASINO (3) - turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the race. Required to complete a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 48.13 before it can start in a race. OLLIEBOLLON (6) - slow to jump then dictated wide on turn losing ground.
Race 3	Glamour Hooves Racing Stables Stakes - C0 - 545	The race was declared a No Race in accordance with Rule 52.1 when OPAWA ABBIE JOY (7) fell into the first turn and turned backwards into the straight. The race was abandoned under Rule 52.6 in the interests of dog welfare as the field had completed over 500m before the lure was pulled up safely in the straight. A post race veterinary check of OPAWA ABBIE JOY revealed no injury sustained in the fall.
Race 4	Keyosk Service Bar Stakes - C1 - 545	GOLDSTAR JAGGER (1) - pushed outwards in run to the first turn checking runner to outside. GRANNY MAGNET (3) - slow to jump. Checked off another runner at end of back straight. In home straight when free of interference turned his head outwards voluntarily and ran for several metres with head turned out without making contact. A post race veterinary check cleared the greyhound of any injury. Under Rule 55.1b the greyhound was suspended for 28 days for failing to puruse the lure and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. AVALANCH CITY (4) - checked in run to the first turn. OPAWA BUCKS EYE (9/5) - when challenging for the lead ran sharply outwards into the straight making head contact with another greyhound and marring the running of that dog. Under Rule 55.1a the greyhound was suspended under Rule 55.1a for 28 days for marring the running of another greyhound during a race and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. Trainer H.Anderton advised that he would no longer be persevering with OPAWA BUCKS EYE from his kennels.
Race 5	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C1 - 310	JUST JAMES (3) - slow to jump. VALYRIAN STEEL (4) - checked at the jump. LAVARNO (5) - shifted inwards at jump checking runner to inside. INKY LORD (7) - ran wide on turn. JINJA RULES (6) - checked into turn. LA KINKS (8) - ran outwards into turn checking trailing runner. Following the race this greyhound was examined by the vet and found to have a sore left shoulder with a 7 day stand down recommended.
Race 6	Green Island Barber Sprint - C2 - 310	IDOL STAR (1) - bumped on turn losing momentum. GOLDSTAR TU PUC (3) - slow to jump losing ground early. DEFINITE (7) - shifted inwards on turn bumping dog to inside losing ground.
Race 7	Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C2 - 310	KNOCKA FEW BACK (2) - tightened into the turn losing ground. ADJUDICATOR (3) - shifted inwards into turn tightening trailing runner. UMBREON BALE (4) - slow to jump.
Race 8	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Stakes - C2 - 545	ANA DIOR (1) - ran outwards shortly after the jump bumping and checking runner to outside. GOLDSTAR MILEY (3) - slow to jump then tightened between runners. Clipped heels into first turn and ran wide. SOUTHERN HONEY (5) - heels clipped into first turn losing momentum. ROCK BOTTOM (6) - bumped and checked shortly after the jump, then checked into turn. DYNA HADVAR (7) - shifted ground inwards into first turn checking runner to inside. After the race RUSHCUTER ACTION (2) was subject to a vet check which revealed cramping post race with a 7 day stand down recommended.
Race 9	Williams Signs and Graphix Ltd Stakes - C3/4 - 545	No racing incidents to report.
Race 10	Otago Daily Times Sprint - C3 - 310	MY HOKI (2) - tightened in run to the turn losing ground. Checked outwards off heels on turn running wide. MISS HARPER (5) - bumped and checked in run to the turn tightening trailing runner. HOMEBUSH KELSO (7) - ran inwards in run to the turn bumping and checking runner to inside.
Race 11	St Kilda Veterinary Centre Dash - C5 - 310	HOMEBUSH ZIPPY (1) - bumped into straight losing momentum. CACTUS JACK (2) - shifted outwards at jump checking runner to outside. ZIPPING CLYDE (3) - checked at the jump then severely checked into turn, brushing running rail and losing all chance. PUMA PANTS (4) - tightened between runners at the jump, then ran sharply inwards into turn bumping dog to inside and losing ground. SOZIN'S BLUE (5) - checked at the jump then bumped into straight. COSMIC ODETTE (6) - shifted inwards at jump checking runner to inside.
Race 12	Racing Again Tuesday 1 August - C4 - 310	OITY ALLEN (1) - turned head and ran outwards into straight making head contact with runner to outside and marring the running of that dog and pushing other runners wide on the track. Under Rule 55.1a the greyhound was suspended for marring the running of another greyhound during a race and required to complete a Satisfactory Trial. As this was the greyhound's second offence a period of three month's suspension was imposed under Rule 55.1d. OPAWA BINGE (2) - checked and pushed wide into straight losing ground. ZIRCON (4) - crowded and checked into the turn. HOMEBUSH FUED (5) - tightened shortly after the jump then bumped and crowded into turn as field came together. Dictated wide into straight losing ground. FLAPS DOWN (6) - checked between runners from the jump. STORMING NORM (7) - dictated wide into straight losing ground.
