Judicial report: Trainers Lammas and Morris were Fined $ 50-00 under the Minor Infringement Table after being late to kennel 3 Greyhounds for Races 5 & 6.
CAWBOURNE CLAY which was stood down for 7 days after racing at Wanganui GRC on 19.07.17, was reported to the Stewards to have been examined away from the track on 20.07.17 and found to have a serious hock injury and was humanely euthanased.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	STINGER (2) - Was slow to begin and stayed well back throughout. BIGTIME DAZZLER (7) - Was slow away from the boxes and settled back but made up ground to finish in 4th place. BIGTIME MONTY (8) - Was also slow from the boxes and he settled back and stayed there throughout to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 2	FIRST SECURITY C2 - C2 - 305	BIGTIME GEORGE (4) - Checked over heels on the bend and lost momentum and he stayed back. SHELLY MCBELL (7) - Settled at the rear but secured a clear run to make up ground and finished in 3rd place.
Race 3	LASER PLUMBING WANAGNUI C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	BIGTIME TALKER (7) - Was well supported but settled back from her wide draw and she covered extra ground throughout and stayed back to finish in 7th place.
Race 4	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C5 - C5 - 305	DOWNGRADE KING (2) - Was checked going into the bend and went back to the rear and stayed back for the remainder. BIGTIME OPAL (7) - Was checked when the start was made when another runner jumped in abruptly and she lost ground and settled back. Then improved and shifted in going into the bend and took another runners line and caused a check. Then finished the race well for 4th placing. SO OVER IT (8) - Shifted in abruptly from the start and checked another runner which settled back.
Race 5	THE ROCK 95.2FM C3 F - C3 - 520	BIGTIME VANESSA (1) - Was the favourite and was away well enough but was bumped and unbalanced on the first bend, lost momentum and went back to near the rear and stayed back for the remainder. ACE BALE (5) - Suffered from some general crowding and tightening early in the race and he settled back but made up ground over the final stages. SILKY SOCK (6) - Also suffered from the general crowding early in the race and got back but made up ground for 4th place.
Race 6	WANGANUI TOYOTA C2 - C2 - 305	EL HEFE (4) - Was crowded and checked soon after the start and went back to the rear and stayed well back. OPAWA SMOKE (5) - Crowded from the outside after the start and went back to the rear. Was checked and forced very wide into the bend but then made up some ground to finish 5th. HIP HOP RAPPER (6) - Shifted in from the start and caused checks to runners drawn further in. Was then checked going into the bend when crowded from the outside and he went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder. BIGTIME RUNNINGS (8) - Shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to other runners and was also checked herself and lost all chance.
Race 7	AON CPF C3 - C3 - 305	SAMMY BAXTER (3) - Was up in weight by 2.0 kilograms and this was an intentional increase. The race was all clear.
Race 8	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C3 - C3 - 305	MATTIE BLUEBLOOD (2) - Checked over heels approaching the home turn and shifted out to race very wide into the straight but kept up a strong run to finish in 3rd place. BIGTIME REIGN (4) - Was awkwardly placed in restricted room going into the bend and checked losing ground and stayed back to finish last. BIGTIME SOPHIE (6) - Was referred to the Vet following the race and found to have a fractured toe.
Race 9	HATRICK DASH C3 - C3 - 305	TAKEAWAY (4) - Was bumped and unbalanced when the start was made and lost ground. Was awkwardly placed going into the bend and was checked back to the rear and never recovered. CAWBOURNE NATH (6) - Was bumped and unbalanced from the start and settled back where he stayed throughout the race.
Race 10	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS WANGANUI C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	DYNA BOOMER (5) - Began awkwardly losing two lengths and and he settled back but did make up some ground over the final stages.
Race 11	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	BIGTIME FEVER (2) - Shifted out going into the bend and ran a little wide to avoid heels when improving and covered extra ground. NERO (6) - Was awkwardly placed between runners and lost ground going into the bend but improved from the rear to finish in 6th place. CAWBOURNE ELPASO (7) - Was forced to go wide into the bend and covered extra ground for a short distance. KING'S CALL (9/8) - Was forced wide into the bend and covered extra ground and stayed back to finish last.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	HYPOCRITICAL was a late scratching shortly before start time due to a foot injury. CAWBOURNE KAZ (2) - Inconvenienced for a short distance going into the bend when crowded from the outside. FABRELEE (3) - Was up in weight by 3.1 kilograms and the bitch had not raced for 6 months and the increase was intentional. Was crowded going into the bend and momentarily inconvenienced. Bumped with another runner on the bend and was unbalanced. Bumped again in the home straight and lost momentum briefly. KALISI (4) - Shifted in and momentarily hampered inside runners. BIGTIME SUGAR (8) - Bumped and unbalanced on the bend and lost momentum for a short distance.
