Race 1 Wanganui Marist Rugby 100 Years C2 Ht1 - C2q - 305 Heat 1 WETCHESTER (1) - Was bumped going into the first turn and unbalanced briefly. OPAWA JANET (3) - Was tightened and checked after the start due to pressure from the outside, went back to the rear and stayed there. MINDER (5) - Was tightened and unbalanced after the start and lost ground. Was tightened between runners going into the bend and lost further ground. BELLA JADE (6) - Was dictated in from the start and tightened for a short distance and went back to near the rear. CAWBOURNE MERL (7) - Shifted in abruptly from the start and tightened runners further in for a short distance.
Race 2 Wanganui Marist Netball 80 Years C2 Ht2 - C2q - 305 Heat 2 ANOTHER VESPA (1) - Checked going to the first corner and went back to near the rear and stayed back CAWBOURNE MATTY (3) - Was checked going to the bend, went back to the rear and never recovered. AMERICANO (4) - Was bumped and unbalanced going into the bend and lost two lengths. BRILLIANT JAYLA (8) - Was inconvenienced going into the bend and lost momentum for a short distance.
Race 3 twomonkeys design studio C2 Ht3 - C2q - 305 Heat 3 TAKE THE SHORTS (3) - Got back from the start and then checked over heels on the bend and shifted out losing momentum and finished in 2nd last place. BIGTIME BREAK (5) - Also got back from the start, shifted out over heels on the bend and only responded fairly in the home straight to finish in 6th place.
Race 4 Wanganui Insurance Brokers C2 Ht4 - C2q - 305 Heat 4 GRACE SLICK (2) - Was hampered soon after the start and she lost ground, went back to the rear and remained there for the rest of the race. FEEL THE FORCE (7) - Fell at the lure, was pushed under the rail and was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 5 Allens Waste Disposal C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 WINEVARA (4) - Was handy going into the first turn but was crowded from outside and went back onto another runner which was checked and fell. WINEVARA lost several lengths and all chance in the incident. CAWBOURNE PALMER (5) - was slow to begin and settled back but made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. ACE BALE (8) - Was checked and fell going into the first turn but regained his feet and finished the race. Was referred to the Vet and found to have pain in a deep pectoral muscle and a gracilis muscle.
Race 6 Ray White Wanganui C2 - C2 - 520 CAWBOURNE LYNS (7) - Was bumped and pushed out wide entering the home straight and lost momentum. BIGTIME BAKAGAIN (9/6) - Was the slowest to begin and stayed back until entering the home straight where he made up some ground for 6th place. METEOR VEGE (10/8) - Shifted out on the final bend and pushed another runner wide.
Race 7 AG Challenge Ltd C5 - C5 - 305 SEDGEBROOK BABE (2) - Jostled and checked going into the bend and went back to the rear but recovered to finish in 4th place. BIGTIME JESS (3) - Jostled and unbalanced going into the bend and went back to last and stayed well back. ALLEGRO LASS (4) - involved in bumping and jostling approaching the home turn, lost ground and stayed back to finish last. LOVER (7) - Inconvenienced going into the bend and then checked and turned sideways approaching the home straight, lost ground and finished in 2nd last place. BEAR INDA SQUARE (8) - Bumped and unbalanced entering the home straight and lost momentum for a short distance.
Race 8 Summit Electrical C3 - C3 - 305 BIGTIME DOUG (3) - Checked back to the rear soon after the start but recovered to make up ground for 2nd place. BIGTIME RACER (4) - Hampered when pressured from the outside after the start and went back to the rear and stayed there. CAWBOURNE POTTSY (5) - Tightened and shuffled back to last after the start and he never recovered the lost ground. BIGTIME OPAL (6) - Was crowded from the outside after the start and lost ground but was able to secure a clear run to go on and win. HOLLY BLUE BLOOD (7) - Shifted in abruptly from soon after the start and caused checks to several runners.
Race 9 The Rock 95.2FM NZ Futurity (Group 1) Final - R/Af - 520 SEE EYE AYE (2) - Was bumped and lost momentum soon after the start and got back where he stayed throughout. BIGTIME BELL (3) - Was inconvenienced and lost momentum and got back after the start but recovered to make up ground to finish in 2nd place. SPRING ALLEGRO (5) - Was bumped when rounding the first bend and drifted back to last and stayed there for the remainder. ALLEN HADRIAN (6) - Was the slowest to begin and lost two lengths.
Race 10 Dave Hoskin Carriers C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 ABSINTHE MINDED (3) - Was awkwardly placed in restricted room between runners going into the first turn and checked over heels, shifted out and forced other runners wide. NITEHAWK ROSE (6) - Was forced wide over extra ground going into the first bend. THRILLING HETTIE (7) - Was the slowest to begin and settled back. Checked over heels going into the bend and was flushed out wide over extra ground.
Race 11 Wanganui Steelformers C4 - C4 - 305 FIVE EYES (5) - Jostled and inconvenienced for some distance in the run to the first turn. Shifted out to race wide on the bend and jostled again entering the home straight and lost momentum. ALL IN BERLIN (6) - Checked on the home turn and lost momentum. ITS THE LOVELY (7) - Jostled going to the first turn and was unbalanced and lost momentum. Checked again on the home turn losing ground and finished last. COOL RYTHM (8) - Bumped and unbalanced entering the home straight and lost momentum briefly.
Race 12 Ali Arc Logistics C4 - C4 - 305 KINGS CALL (3) - Was jostled for some distance in the run to the first corner and was inconvenienced and lost momentum. BIGTIME THINKER (4) - Was bumped and momentarily unbalanced after the start but recovered to go on and win the race. THUNDERATION (5) - Was jostled and eventually checked back to near the rear on the first corner and stayed back. ANGIE ZARR (7) - was slow to begin and stayed back throughout the race.
