Track: Good The track was presented in good order and with all equipment operating well, the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: JOE JOE was a late scratching from Race 7 under the provisions of Rule 38.3 I when the dog escaped from the Handler after the lead broke and he made contact with the lure. This was deemed to have been an advantage by the Stewards.
CHEAP SHOT MATTY was declared a non runner in race 9 and subsequently advised as a late scratching under the Provisions of Rule 76.9 after having a paw caught between the bars on the box lids. In the opinion of the Stewards, this materially prejudiced the chances of CHEAP SHOT MATTY in the race.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305	MIDNIGHT ENEMY (7) - Was down in weight by 1.8 kilograms for a new Trainer and this was intentional. Was slow to begin and settled back where he stayed throughout the race. CAWBOURNE MERL (8) - Was also slow away from the boxes and stayed back throughout and finished in 6th place.
Race 2	FIRST SECURITY C2 - C2 - 305	UNO AGAIN (1) - Was the slowest to begin but recovered well to finish in 3rd place. IT IT FITZ (4) - Was crowded and jostled soon after the start and shuffled back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder. CAWBOURNE WEB (5) - Was tightened soon after the start and checked back to near the rear and stayed back. BRILLIANT JAYLA (7) - Shifted in from the start and caused checks to other runners and was herself checked back to last but did recover to finish in 5th place.
Race 3	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 520	BIGTIME LONESTAR (4) - Was hampered going into the final bend when a runner was checked and fell and she lost ground. BIGTIME LIGHT (5) - Hampered in the incident on the final bend and lost ground. FAST RIGBY (7) - Collided with another runner on the final bend and lost several lengths and all chance. GEORDIE WHO (8) - Galloped on and fell on the final bend and took no further part in the race. Was referred to the Vet and found to have a foreleg fracture.
Race 4	LASER PLUMBING C2 - C2 - 305	BELLA JADE (2) - Was slow to begin and was hampered soon after and again going into the bend and she was never in the clear and stayed back to finish last. HALF SILVER FERN (4) - Was checked on two occasions going into the bend and lost ground and stayed back to finish near the rear. BIGTIME BREAK (6) - Was slow away from the boxes losing four lengths and she then raced wide covering extra ground but ran on well for 4th place.
Race 5	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	The race was all clear.
Race 6	AON CPF C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	OPAWA BLAIR (2) - Was crowded from the outside going to the bend and was severely checked losing several lengths and she stayed back to finish 2nd last. BIGTIME ELLIE (4) - Shifted in going into the bend and caused a check to another runner which lost several lengths. SKETCHY CHIEF (6) - Was checked jumping from the boxes and was seriously unbalanced losing several lengths and all chance and finished last. AL'S GIRL (7) - Shifted in abruptly from the start causing a severe check to another runner.
Race 7	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS WANGANUI DISTANCE HEAT 1 - C2dq - 755 Heat 1	JOE JOE (1) - Was a late scratching after escaping from the control of the Handler and making contact with the lure when parading to the start. The dog thereby gaining an advantage over the other runners in the race in the opinion of the Stewards and was scratched under the provisions of Rule 38.3 I . The lead, which broke ,was examined by the Stewards and found to have been maintained in good order and no charges were preferred. AUGELLO (3) - Covered extra ground when wide during parts of the race but ran on well to finish in 2nd place. TRON BRADMAN (8) - Also covered extra ground during parts of the race and also finished the race of well for 3rd place.
Race 8	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS WANGANUI DISTANCE HEAT 2 - C2dq - 755 Heat 2	MISTER EBBY (5) - Was hampered and lost ground going to the first turn when crowded from the outside. Raced reasonably handy until drifting over the final stages and finished several lengths last. Was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury. PHANTOM WAY (6) - Was hampered and lost ground going to the first turn when crowded by an outside runner shifting in. PACIFIC SUNRISE (7) - Crowded from the outside going to the first turn and went back to last and stayed well back. THRILLING FLO (8) - Shifted in from the start and inconvenienced several other runners which lost varying amounts of ground.
Race 9	DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C4 - C4 - 305	BIGTIME REIGN (6) - Was referred to the Vet by the Trainer and found to have a carpus injury. SO OVER IT (8) - Was slow to begin and stayed back throughout the race to finish in 7th place. CHEAP SHOT MATTY (9) - Was observed to have a paw caught in the bars on the box lids and went up in the air as they opened and he lost ground and stayed back throughout the race to finish in last place. CHEAP SHOT MATTY was declared a non runner by the Stewards under the provisions of Rule 76.9 and was advised as a late scratching. CHEAP SHOT MATTY was referred to the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 10	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	BIGTIME DAZZLER (1) - Was very slow away from the boxes losing several lengths and all chance and finished well back. CAWBOURNE BRICK (2) - Shifted in going into the final bend and checked another runner. MAJESTIC ACTION (7) - Checked going into the final bend and stayed back for the remainder of the race.
Race 11	THE ROCK 95.2FM C3 - C3 - 305	LITTLE COMET (1) - Was jostled and unbalanced going into the bend. Checked on the bend and lost ground and finished in last place. AMERICANO (2) - Checked going into the bend and stayed back to finish in the rear group. AFRICAN PRINCESS (4) - Checked going into the bend and shuffled back to near the rear and stayed back. HU XIAN (6) - Checked going to the bend and stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @HATRICK C3 - C3 - 305	NUI MAGIC (3) - Jostled for a short distance after the start and briefly unbalanced. Crowded from the outside going into the bend and again lost momentum. ELITE DOSE (5) - Jostled soon after the start and again tightened and jostled going into the bend and stayed well back. MISSING ALLEGRO (6) - Jostled after the start and briefly unbalanced and was again tightened and then checked going into the bend. SASHA MCBELL (7) - Shifted in going into the bend and caused crowding and checks to other runners.
