Track: Dead Following inclement weather conditions throughout race morning the official track rating was downgraded to Dead prior to Race 1. Track conditions were subsequently upgraded to Good after the completion of Race 3.
Scales: Correct at all weights.
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: 1) DUKE BAXTER (J McInerney) was declared a late scratching from Race 2 at 10:55am acting on veterinary advice. 2) OPAWA JEMAINE (Lane/Wales) was declared a late scratching from Race 12 at 1:30pm acting on veterinary advice.

Race 1	SOUTHLAND GREYHOUNDS WELCOME - C0 - 390	HOTDOG SHANNON (4) - Slow to jump. HELLO IT'S ME (6) - Contacted on several occasions by BAD BINDI approaching the bend. Crowded for a distance entering the bend between BAD BINDI and CAMSIDE ROSE which ran outwards. BAD BINDI (8) - Jostled with HELLO IT'S ME approaching the bend. Inconvenienced over the concluding stages when contacted by CAMSIDE ROSE which ran outwards. KNOW BARGAIN (9/7) - Slow to jump. Checked momentarily rounding the bend when becoming awkwardly positioned on heels.
Race 2	MR WHIPPY SOUTHLAND - C0 - 390	AWESOME ANNIE (2) - Collided with another runner entering the bend when checking outwards to avoid the heels of JINJA RULES. Crowded momentarily entering the straight. JINJA RULES (3) - Crowded for a distance in the early stages, being checked entering the bend when between CAPTAIN CHILLY and SOZIN'S NOIR, both of which shifted ground. MANHATTAN STYLE (4) - Contacted by AWESOME ANNIE entering the bend. ESKIMO CHILL (7) - Presented 2.3 kilograms lighter in body weight from its previous start of 7th February 2017. Unbalanced when contacted by another runner entering the bend. DUKE BAXTER (8) - Declared a late scratching at 10:55am acting on veterinary advice. SOZIN'S NOIR (9/5) - Crowded and checked entering the bend, contacting the heel of SHADY SNAPPER.
Race 3	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C0 - 457	SMASH GATOR (1) - Hampered approaching the bend when making heavy contact with QADIR BALE which ran inwards. Ran wide exiting the bend. NICEY SPICEY (2) - Dragged down momentarily by QADIR BALE in the early stages. Crowded entering the bend becoming awkwardly positioned on heels. Collided with JINJA BELLE rounding the bend. QADIR BALE (3) - Crowded in the early stages, checking inwards and contacting the hindquarters of another runner. JINJA BELLA (5) - Crowded shortly after the start. Collided with NICEY SPICEY rounding the bend. KNOW OTHER (10/7) - Slow to jump. Checked briefly entering the bend when awkwardly positioned near heels. Track conditions were upgraded to Good following the event.
Race 4	EVOQUE CAFE @ REMARKABLES - C4/5 - 390	HOMEBUSH SLOAN (5) - Contacted by OPAWA IDOL on several occasions at the start. Checked outwards across heels to obtain clear running entering the straight. OPAWA IDOL (6) - Crowded for a short distance in the early stages. Collided with another runner entering the home straight. MUSHROOM CLOUD (7) - Crowded for a short distance in the early stages. Unbalanced when contacted by OPAWA IDOL entering the straight. BREAKING MAD (8) - Ran inwards from the boxes crowding inside runners.
Race 5	ADDED ENERGY DASH - C2 - 390	ANA DIOR (3) - Crowded entering the bend losing ground. SMASH LILY (4) - Hampered when heavily contacted by SMASH ATTACK rounding the bend, becoming unbalanced. SMASH ATTACK (7) - Ran outwards and collided with another runner approaching the bend. Improved up onto and contacted the hindquarters of another runner rounding the bend becoming unbalanced. FEAR MARINA (8) - Contacted by SMASH ATTACK approaching the bend.
Race 6	DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C3 - 390	FLAPS DOWN (1) - Jostled with MISCHIEF MANAGED exiting the bend. HOMEBUSH ERROL (3) - Crowded shortly after the start. OPAWA SHELDON (4) - Severely checked after the finishing line, falling to the track in consequence. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. MISCHIEF MANAGED (6) - Jostled with FLAPS DOWN exiting the bend. HIS NIBS (7) - Checked briefly entering the bend when awkwardly positioned near heels.
Race 7	NZ Racing Series Advanced Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 1	KNOW NEGLECT (2) - Went off stride entering the straight, then appeared indifferent in its action for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a suspected fractured right hock, with an x-ray to be completed in the coming days. HILTON OPEN (3) - Ran outwards when awkwardly positioned near heels entering the straight resulting in heavy contact being made with DIRK THE JERK. DIRK THE JERK (4) - Heavily contacted by another runner entering the home straight. SUPER BAD (5) - Jostled with BOTANY ALAN for a distance in the early stages. BOTANY ALAN (6) - Jostled with SUPER BAD for a distance in the early stages, becoming unbalanced entering the bend when contacted by that runner.
Race 8	NZ Racing Series Advanced Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 2	OPAWA BRAD (1) - Slow to jump. Hampered for a distance entering the straight when colliding with SHIFT THE BLAME. KNOW HASSLE (2) - Slow to jump, then was obliged to shift up the track through the early stages. SHIFT THE BLAME (3) - Raced in restricted room entering the bend. Ran outwards entering the straight becoming unbalanced when jostling with another runner. CAN'T CATCH TIM (5) - Ran outwards from the boxes colliding with HOMEBUSH KELSO. HOMEBUSH KELSO (6) - Unbalanced at the start when contacted by another runner. Crowded and checked approaching the bend when between SHIFT THE BLAME and CAN'T CATCH TIM which ran inwards.
Race 9	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 457	ZUGZWANG (2) - Ran outwards from the boxes hampering several outside runners. JUSTIN RYAN (3) - Hampered when crowded leaving the boxes. KNOW DECEPTION (4) - Hampered when crowded leaving the boxes. RHINEGOLDE (5) - Hampered when crowded leaving the boxes. OPAWA VAL (6) - Hampered when crowded leaving the boxes. SERGIO DESTROYER (7) - Contacted by ZUGZWANG shortly after the start. Dragged down severely by OPAWA LASS entering the bend becoming unbalanced and falling to the track in consequence. Referred to the Veterinarian following the event for assessment. OPAWA LASS (8) - Ran inwards entering the bend becoming awkwardly positioned onto and contacting the hindquarter of another runner for a short distance.
Race 10	RIVERTON STAKES - C1/2 - 457	CAWBOURNE LEAHA (1) - Crowded briefly entering the bend, hampered shortly after when contacted by a trailing runner. VIKINGS (2) - Ran outwards at the start, making heavy contact with AVALANCH CITY shortly after. TOM TEE (3) - Hampered leaving the boxes. Ran outwards entering the bend making firm contact with the hindquarters of CAWBOURNE LEAHA. OPAWA MILLIE (4) - Hampered leaving the boxes. ZIPPING PIPER (6) - Slow to jump. AVALANCH CITY (7) - Ran inwards abruptly from the boxes hampering several inside runners. HERITAGE WATCH (10/5) - Hampered when heavily contacted by AVALANCH CITY. Appeared indifferent in its action through the early stages losing contact with the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed pain in the left triangle/whip muscle.
Race 11	ASCOT PARK CONSORTIUM - C2 - 390	GENETIC MARLOW (1) - Heavily contacted in the early stages. HOMEBUSH BANKER (2) - Contacted by another runner shortly after the start. CAWBOURNE SANDY (3) - Crowded at the start, shifting inwards and colliding with HOMEBSUH BANKER shortly after. Crowded entering the bend. BOTANY VIKKI (4) - Ran inwards abruptly in the early stages making heavy contact with GENETIC MARLOW. OPAWA CRUSADE (8) - Unbalanced entering the bend when contacted by a trailing runner.
Race 12	ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C3 - 390	STORMING MACK (1) - Crowded entering the bend. Raced in restricted room rounding the bend. HOMEBUSH FLAME (2) - Crowded entering the bend. BIRDIE TEE (3) - Slow to jump. TRIXIE LASS (4) - Unbalanced entering the bend when contacted by the improving ALEX RUMBLE. OPAWA JEMAINE (5) - Declared a late scratching at 1:30pm acting on veterinary advice. ALEX RUMBLE (6) - Crowded momentarily entering the bend. ROADWORKS (7) - Slow to jump. Ran wide entering the bend.
Race 13	CONGRATULATIONS LATRENT - C1 - 390	MINDER (1) - Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages. PRINCELY MONEY (3) - Bumped entering the straight. CHARLIE RUNKEL (4) - Began awkwardly and stumbled leaving the boxes, losing ground. Checked momentarily entering the bend when awkwardly positioned near heels. Bumped with PRINCELY MONEY entering the straight then had difficulty obtaining a clear run through the middle stages of the straight. Raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
Race 14	OTATARA STAKES - C1 - 390	GHOST (3) - Began awkwardly losing ground. Contacted the hindquarters of another runner rounding the bend when checking outwards. TRENDY BLAKE (5) - Jostled with OZARK'S WATCH in the early stages. NIPPA EEL (7) - Contacted by JOEY BAXTER at the start, losing its footing and becoming severely unbalanced for a short distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. OZARK'S WATCH (10/4) - Jostled with TRENDY BLAKE in the early stages. Unbalanced rounding the bend when contacted by a trailing runner.
Race 15	RACING AGAIN 28TH MARCH - C1 - 390	CAWBOURNE MURF (2) - Hampered approaching the bend. SMASH REBEL (3) - Hampered shortly after the start when contacted by an inside runner. Crowded rounding the bend. NIPPA-A-SPOT (5) - Crowded shortly after the start. Bumped exiting the bend. WAIMAK SHEFF (6) - Ran inwards from the boxes hampering inside runners. SOZIN'S BLUE (7) - Unbalanced entering the bend when contacting FANCY NOMIKAI. FANCY NOMIKAI (8) - Collided with CAWBOURNE MURF approaching the bend. Unbalanced when contacted by another runner entering the bend, being crowded for a distance shortly after. GLORY HOG (9/4) - Crowded shortly after the start.
