Judicial report: The boxes for the 747 metre race (race 7) were hand started due an electrical fault. The JCA heard an application to disqualify TRON BRADMAN after being found to be ineligible to compete in race 5 at Waikato GRC on 24/12/16.

Shifted out off heels rounding the first turn making contact with TEEFONIC, with both runners losing ground. MISS BUNNYTHORPE (4) - solid contact racing toward the first turn losing ground going back onto another runner. TEEFONIC (6) - slow away then inconvenienced contacting hindquarters losing ground. Hampered rounding the first turn, taken wider losing ground.
Race 3	Couplands Dog Biscuits Sprint - C2/3 - 375	NANGAR GEM (1) - bumped rounding the first turn. BIGTIME MOOLA (2) - tightened and checked entering the first turn losing ground. CORUBA CATE (3) - contact after the start. Shifted out entering the first turn making contact with another runner then raced wide for the remainder of the event .DR. ROBBIE (4) - slow away. Shifted out rounding the bend then raced wide for the remainder of the event. RAMPION (5) - tightened after the start making contact losing ground. Checked entering the first turn getting on heels becoming unbalanced making solid contact with another runner losing ground. FABIO (6) - tightened after the start making contact losing ground. Tightened and hampered entering the first turn making solid contact with another runner becoming badly unbalanced losing ground. NO MORE DEBT (7) - bumped rounding the first turn. SOUTHERN BLUE (8) - slow away. Contact entering the first turn.
Race 4	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C4/5 - 375	KIRKHAM NEEDY (1) shifted out across heels rounding the bend. CAWBOURNE MEZZA (2) - solid contact entering the first turn becoming unbalanced. Race 8	Group 2 Palamountains Nutrition Waikato Classic Final - R/Af - 457	CAWBOURNE NATH (1) - slow away. Tightened getting on heels rounding the bend becoming unbalanced losing ground. Examined by the veterinarian following this event and found to have a strained shoulder muscle in front of the right shoulder with a 14 day stand down imposed. SPARE SOME TIME (2) - bumped entering the first turn becoming unbalanced. BLAZING SPIRIT (4) - steadied off heels rounding the bend going back into the line of another runner then contacted from behind becoming badly unbalanced losing considerable ground. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. ALLEGRO GUN (5) - contact after the start. Contacted hindquarters entering the first turn. CAWBOURNE JARROD (6) - slow away. MAP MY RUN (7) - contact after the start. Solid contact rounding the bend forced out into the line of another runner becoming badly unbalanced and falling.
