Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: JINJA HEART (Race 8 #6) weighed in down 1.7 kg in its first start for new Trainers W & T Steele. Authorisation of placings in Race 5 were briefly withheld to enable the replay of the start to be viewed to ascertain as to whether RED RASCAL (8) had been denied a fair start after a two way radio had been inadvertently left against the lid for Box 8. After viewing the replays Stewards were not sufficiently satisfied that RED RASCAL's chances had been materially prejudiced and placings were duly authorised. Track Manager M Sammons was subsequently reprimanded in relation to leaving his radio at the boxes when attending to his duties and advised that any repeat would see greater action taken against him. Licensed Handler John Cleaver was issued with a Judicial warning for being late in attending the kennels to handle ASTA (2) prior to Race 11.

Race 5	Hewlett Electrical Sprint - C2 - 318	ZIPPING KASEY (1) - slow to begin. GIMME HOT CHIPS (2) - bumped early. ZIPPING JANE (3) - contacted from behind entering turn. Mr. Mumbles (4) - bumped over early stages. Checked entering turn. SKYLER WHITE (5) - checked entering turn. HOWS YOUR MUM (6) - bumped over early stages. GOLDEN IVEY (5) - bumped early. ALL HAIL CAESAR (6) - turned sideways entering first turn and lost ground. KITTY'S SHIRAZ (8) - checked first turn losing several lengths.
Race 7	McGhie Plumbing Sprint - C3/4 - 318	CRANKY PANTS (2) - shifted out and contacted another runner after start. Checked off heels home turn. EKALI (3) - checked after start. Checked entering turn. COSTING MONEY (4) - checked after start. Checked entering turn losing 6 lengths. BAYMAX (5) - checked after start. Checked entering turn losing 4 lengths. DON'T BRAG (6) - checked when buffeted for some strides over the early stages. Badly checked and fell entering turn. Referred to Vet - no abnormality detected.
Race 8	Pump and Engineering Ltd Stakes - C2/3 - 527	CALYPSO STAR (3) - checked and lost several lengths entering first turn. RUBY MURRAY (5) - checked off heels and shifted out entering first turn contacting another runner. Faltered shortly after and trailed the field for the remainder. Referred to Vet - found to have a fracture/severe sprain of the right hock with a 42 day stand down imposed. MISS VELOCETTE (7) slow to begin.
Race 9	Trophies Plus Sprint - C1 - 318	SILENT PARTNER (4) - checked and lost ground early. MEGA MUNCHIES (5) - slow to begin and then checked after start.
Race 10	Carol's TAB Clendon Inn Sprint - C3/4 - 318	BROWN EYE BOY (1) - checked after start. Checked approaching turn and dislodged a piece of polystyrene protective cladding on the inside fence after contacting it with its tail. MADE TOME (2) - turned sideways shortly after start. Checked and lost ground entering turn. ALLEGRO LASS (3) - checked and shifted out entering turn contacting another runner. IDOL GEE (4) - lost ground when turned sideways entering turn. EFFECTIVE POWER (5) - slow to begin. Got onto the hindquarters of another runner entering turn and lost ground. UNILEVEN (6) - checked and lost ground entering turn when galloped on. STYLISH FANCY (8) - checked entering turn and raced wide.
Race 11	Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C1 - 318	JUST ABOUT READY (1) - checked entering turn. ASTA (2) - bumped early. Shifted in and contacted another runner entering turn. DECEPTIVE LAD (3) - slow to begin. TUFF STAR (6) - bumped early and then had to check off heels. Ran wide on home turn. UNCOMPLICATED (7) - bumped early and turned sideways for a stride.
