CAPTAIN TUTTLE (4) - Faltered going into the first corner and drifted to finish a distance behind the other runners and referred to the Vet and found to have a right hind gracilis muscle injury. |

BIGTIME ONFIRE (4) - Shared lead into the final bend but was checked losing several lengths. OPAWA TIMO (6) - The slowest to begin but made up ground quickly to share lead into the final bend. Then turned his head towards an outside runner and lost several lengths in the incident. Referred to the Vet and found to have gracilis muscle pain requiring a 14 day stand down but stood down for 28 days under Rule 79.1 b for failing to pursue the lure and required to complete a satisfactory trial before next racing. OPAWA TIMO was subsequently presented to Vet D Matheson in Christchurch and found to have a serious injury with the stand down under Rule 79.1.b. rescinded. |
