Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: 1). Track downgraded to dead prior to race 3 and further downgraded to Slushy prior to race 5. 2). From race 7, all races were put back one race due to remedial work needing to be carried out on the track. 3). Due to concerns expressed regarding the nature of the track following race 7 Stewards ordered an inspection of the track with Mr. T Music (Club secretary) , Mrs L Roberts (Veterinarian) and the members of track safety committee, comprising of Messrs B Dann, J McInerney (Jnr) and R Adcock along with the Track curator to ascertain the safety of the track and address concerns raised. After discussions with all parties it was decided that the track was safe for racing. Following race 11 a further inspection of the track was carried out with it being unanimous that the track had become unsafe to race on and in consequence the meeting was abandoned.

Race 2	Chris & Lisa Earl Dash - C3/4 - 295	KRISTA BARISTA (1) - Awkwardly placed entering the bend and lost ground. GO POPPY (2) - Checked and lost ground entering bend. ADJUDICATOR (4) - Checked and lost ground rounding bend. SARCASM (7) - Slow to jump. PAPERBOND (8) - Contacted from inside runner exiting bend.
Race 3	David Emerson Consultancy Sprint - C3 - 295	MISS HARPER (2) - Squeezed for room entering bend . Obliged to check off heels and lost ground. KNOW HERO (4) - Checked at start. SEEKING BAXTER (5) - Squeezed for room at start. ANOTHER LIZ (6) - Checked at start.
Race 4	Angler's Arms Tavern Stakes - C2 - 520	CRYSTAL FLAME (4) - Squeezed for room early stages. OPAWA TRACY (5) - Checked entering first bend.
Race 5	Thursday Place Pick Stakes - C3/4 - 520	CHIPPA LATA (2) - Squeezed for room entering first bend. FROSTY ACTION (5) - Squeezed for room entering first bend. Further squeezed entering back straight. Checked off heels entering final straight. BREAKING MAD (7) - Checked first bend. Obliged to check off heels rounding final bend. LUMINARY (8) - Boxed first.
Race 6	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C3 - 295	SWEET MARYLOU (1) - Found to have a skin laceration following the race with a 7 day stand down imposed. ANOTHER CRUISE (2) - Lost ground when squeezed entering bend. DAD'S AMBITION (4) - Began awkwardly. Improved wide entering bend. KNOW STRUGGLE (5) - Began awkwardly. Forced up track rounding bend. FANCY NOMIKAI (7) - Squeezed early stages. Checked entering bend and lost momentum running wide. HOLLY BLUE BLOOD (8) - Obliged to check off heels exiting bend.
Race 7	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C5 - 520	HOMEBUSH KELSO (1) - Tired rounding bend. CAWBOURNE KRISTY (4) - Checked down the track in run to first bend. ACE BALE (6) - Forced down the track early stages. KNOW ANSWER (7) - Squeezed for racing room entering first bend and lost ground. FEKITOA (8) - Boxed first.
Race 8	I Pave Concrete Dash - C3/4 - 295	EXPECT DELAY (1) - Boxed first. Placed in restricted room entering the bend and struck running rail. Referred to vet - No injury detected. TINA (2) - Squeezed for racing room entering bend and lost ground. CAWBOURNE CRAIG (6) - Checked entering bend. Checked out off heels rounding bend. GORILLA ON DRUMS (9/7) - Boxed first.
Race 9	Carol's T.A.B. Clendon Inn Dash - C5 - 295	RAND (1) - Checked off heels in run to bend losing ground. RAPAKI KATH (2) - Squeezed early stages. DREAM LARGE (3) - Squeezed early stages. Awkwardly placed to the outside of runners rounding bend and lost ground. KIHAEL KALUNA (4) - Came down the track early stages contacting inside runner. MAGIC WIZARD (6) - Checked off heels rounding bend and lost ground. SMASH tHAT (8) - Boxed first.
Race 10	2016 Kolorful Kanvas Christchurch Classic Final - R/Af - 520	AMINO TROUBLE (1) - Check out off heels first bend. OPAWA CHEVIOT (2) - Placed in restricted room end of back straight and made heavy contact with the running rail and subsequently fell to the track. Referred to vet - 7 day incapacitation issued for lacerations and bruising to its left fore leg. OPAWA BRAD (6) - Ran wide first bend. ALBIE PUNTER (8) - Slow to jump. Wide fist bend. Held up for racing room first bend and down back straight.
Race 11	Flair Dash - C5 - 295	HOMEBUSH RILEY (1) - Boxed first. MICKEY TEE (2) - Check out off heels in run to bend. COLLECTING MONEY (4) - Contacted outside runner early stages. Faltered in its gait rounding the bend losing ground. Referred to vet - Found to have sustained a fractured right hock. SWIMMING GOAT (5) - Contacted inside runner early stages. FIREMANS GALAXY (7) - Checked rounding bend. FLIBERTY JIBERTY (8) - Checked rounding bend.
