Track: Good The track was heavy early in the program after rain had fallen but with an improvement in the weather conditions and after the track had been extensively rolled between races, it improved to be described as good following race 5.

Judicial report: LOVER Trained by A.Turnwald which qualified for the Race 3 Final but was withdrawn before the draw, was presented to the et on 17.10.16 and stood down for 28 days to and including 05.11.16 with a tarsal injury.

APATCHE AJAY (9) - One of the slowest to begin and then inconvenienced when bumping going into the bend and stayed well back throughout.
Race 2	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C2 - C2 - 520	TAMMY'S FIRE (2) - was slow to begin and stayed well back throughout to finish last. CAWBOURNE MIAMI (7) - Was bumped and unbalanced going into the first bend and lost ground. SWIFTLY CHLOE (8) - Was bumped and lost momentum for a short distance going into the first bend but recovered to finish in 3rd place.
Race 3	DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C3 FINAL - C3f - 305	ALLEGRO POWER (1) - Was crowded after the start and unbalanced for a short distance. Bumped going into the bend, lost ground and never recovered. MAP MY RUN (2) - Tightened soon after the start losing momentum briefly. OPAWA LACHLAN (3) - Severely tightened after the start and went back to near the rear. HOMEBUSH ZANE (4) - Severely tightened after the start, went back to the rear and stayed back throughout.
Race 4	FIRST SECURITY C4 - C4 - 305	ITS THE LOVELY (3) - Shifted out from the start crowding other runners. CHAIMBO (4) - Tightened and checked early in the race and settled back. SPARE SOME TIME (5) - Tightened and checked back to a rear position early in the race. RAGING DEMON (6) - Tightened early in the race and settled back and then checked again into the bend and stayed back to finish last. HU XIAN (7) - Shifted in and crowded inside runners soon after the start and was unbalanced for a short distance.
Race 5	LASER PLUMBING C5 - C5 - 305	LONE STAR LAD (1) - Shifted out going to first turn and jostled losing momentum for a short distance. TWO UP (2) - Tightened between runners going into the bend and shuffled back to the rear and stayed back. CHEAP SHOT MATTY (3) - Shared the lead early but ran wide over extra ground and faded to finish 5th. BRITNEY START (5) - Shared the lead to the first corner but shifted out to race wide and lost ground as a result.
Race 6	AON CPF C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	STORMY DAYS (1) - Jostled and unbalanced over final stages. MEG'S ME MUM (4) - Awkwardly placed between runners over the final stages and checked which possibly cost her a closer placing. CHAI LATTE (5) - Jostled and unbalanced for a short distance over final few strides. CAWBOURNE SERINA (8) - A last start winner which started from box 8 and was forced to race wide over extra ground throughout and finished last.
Race 7	WANGANUI TOYOTA C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	SLICK STAR (3) - Was clipped from behind entering the home straight and unbalanced briefly losing momentum. MISSING ALLEGRO (5) - Was bumped and unbalanced going into the bend and lost momentum briefly. HOMEBUSH PAIGE (6) - Began awkwardly losing several lengths and stayed back throughout. BELFAST SMARTY (8) - Drew box 8 and was bumped and forced wide into the bend and stayed wide for the remainder.
Race 8	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	OPAWA TOMMO (1) - Was tightened going to the first turn and checked losing three lengths. ALLEGRO GUN (2) - Was tightened and checked going to the first turn but recovered to run on into 3rd placing. SHELLY MCBELL (5) - shifted in and crowded other runners going into first turn and was checked and finished in last place. MANGAMAHU JACK (7) - Was slow to begin losing four lengths and then raced wide covering considerable extra ground.
Race 9	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	JOBS RITE (1) - Was crowded from the outside after the start and lost ground. KAY MARTING (2) - Was crowded from the outside after the start and lost ground. Then checked off heels a short distance further on and lost three lengths.
Race 10	METEOR OPD WANGANUI C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	MAKING TIME (3) - Was checked entering the back straight losing several lengths and all chance and stayed back to finish in last place. OUR GYPSY (6) - Shifted in entering the back straight and jostled with another runner and lost ground. LADY ZEENA (10/5) - Was tightened going to the first turn and squeezed back to the rear where she stayed throughout.
Race 11	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	PACIFIC VIBE (1) - Was involved with other runners in jostling after the start until nearing the first corner but recovered to finish in 2nd place. MAGIC GINA (2) - Jostled for some distance losing ground and stayed back to finish last. SCOOTER'S ROSE (3) - tightened and shuffled back to near rear early and stayed back. HOMEBUSH OLIVE (4) - Checked soon after the start and never recovered, finishing well back. LET'S GO SPRITE (7) - Slow to begin losing three lengths. SPRITE ON TIME (8) - Slipped her collar while walking onto the track and ran a short distance before being captured, examined by the Vet and cleared to run. While she came close to the lure while loose, she never touched or attempted to touch it so did not gain any advantage.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR ULTIMATE XMAS PARTY @ HATRICK C3 - C3 - 305	MARY BLUE BLOOD (1) - Led but forced wide over extra ground on the bend. OPAWA SMOKE (2) - Shared the lead on the bend but shifted out to race wide over extra ground. SECOND TIME (6) - Involved in jostling for some distance in back straight and was unbalanced losing ground. ALLEGRO ALL GO (7) - Was jostled between runners for some distance in back straight, went back to near the rear and stayed there. CAWBOURNE ROWAN (8) - Was jostled for a short distance in the back straight, went off stride and drifted to finish a long last. Referred to the vet and found to have a hock injury.
