Judicial report: Assisstant Curator J.Richardson was issued with a final warning after using offensive language in the presence of a Steward. CHEAP SHOT MATTY (3) - Was declared a non runner under the Provisions of Rule 76.9 after having a front foot caught between the bars on the box lids and in the opinion of the Stewards was denied a fair start and his chances were materially prejudiced in the incident.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305	OPAWA SPRINTER (1) - A little slow away and crowded in the early stages but recovered to finish 2nd. MR. MAIZE (2) - Crowded and lost ground going into the bend and stayed well back. PIXIE DUST (6) - Jostled going into the bend and shuffled back to last and stayed there for the remainder.
Race 2	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C1 FINAL - C1f - 520	CHIP OFF BLOCK (2) - Slow to begin losing two lengths then raced a little wide into first bend. MAGIC LATTE (3) - Forced wide over extra ground on first bend. OPAWA GUMISIE (10/4) - Forced wide over extra ground on first bend and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 3	DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C4 - C4 - 305	FREEDOM FLYER (5) - Jumped in the air and slipped its lead in the parade area but was quickly captured, examined by the Vet and cleared to start. The race was all clear.
Race 4	FIRST SECURITY C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	CHEAP SHOT MATTY (3) - Was declared a non runner under the provisions of Rule 76.9 after the dog had his foot caught between the bars on the front of the box and as a result, did not get a fair start. Was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have quadricep muscle pain. SHERLOCK IZMIR (2) - Was very slow to begin losing several lengths but recovered to finish in 3rd place. STOLE ME WALLET (5) - Was tightened, checked and fell on the first corner and took no further part in the race. Referred to Vet and found to have general bruising and muscle soreness.
Race 5	LASER PLUMBING C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	EFFECTIVE POWER (2) - Bumped and jostled after start and settled back. ALLEGRO TOUCH (3) - Bumped and jostled after the start and settled back. CAWBOURNE MEZZA (1) - Checked going to the first corner losing ground but recovered to finish in 4th place.
Race 6	AON CPF C2 - C2 - 305	CASUAL SLIPPER (5) - Bumped at the start and settled back. Hampered on the bend losing three lengths and finished last. OPAWA SMOKE (6) - Bumped at the start and settled back then raced a little wide on the bend. CAWBOURNE FROST (7) - Bumped when the start was made and again going into the bend and stayed well back throughout.
Race 7	WANGANUI TOYOTA C2 - C2 - 305	NUI MAGIC (4) - Was crowded at the start and settled back. Raced wide on the bend and into home straight and finished last. SAMMY BAXTER (5) - Was tightened going into the bend and lost her position. ANOTHER MISS (6) - Was crowded adjacent to the rail on the bend and was shuffled back to near the rear and stayed back.
Race 8	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C3 - C3 - 305	BIGTIME MOOLA (5) - Shifted out to race wide over extra ground on the bend and finished well back. ALLEGRO CODY (8) - was checked back to last going into the bend and never recovered and finished last.
Race 9	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	KNUCKLE BUMP (2) - Crowded and inconvenienced after the start and went back to last. Checked again going into the bend losing three lengths and never recovered. OPAWA SHILOH (3) - checked going into the first bend and lost three lengths and she never recovered and stayed back to finish near the rear.
Race 10	METEOR OPD WANGANUI C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	SEDGEBROOK MAGIC (7) - Was crowded and checked back to last going to the first corner and then raced wide throughout the remainder and finished last.
Race 11	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C3 - C3 - 305	CAWBOURNE GEORGE (2) - Crowded soon after the start and settled back. KAY MARTING (3) - Crowded soon after the start and settled back and never recovered. BIGTIME REIGN (5) - Forced wide over extra ground on the bend. ALLEGRO LASS (6) - Forced wide on the bend but made up ground to finish in 4th place. SCODELARIO (7) - Slow to begin and then raced wide throughout and finished well back.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3 - C3 - 305	SCOOTERS ROSE (5) - Was checked going into the bend when racing onto heels and shifted out to race wide and stayed back. CAWBOURNE STEVE (7) - was checked going into the bend and briefly unbalanced losing momentum. Was referred to the Vet and found to have a fractured toe. ALLEGRO RUNNINGS (8) - Was checked going into the bend, lost ground and stayed back to finish in last place.
