Track: Good The track was presented in a very good racing condition being well groomed and watered through out All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: ACE BALE & CAWBOURNE KRISTY ( A C Roberts ) were both scratched without penalty from race 9 after being unable to travel north due to cancelled ferry sailings.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305	BRILLIANT JAYLA ( 1 ) fav )- dwelt at the start racing well back in the early stages made ground along the inner there after. OPAWA SMOKE ( 3 )- slow in to stride was bumped in the early stages recovered to finish on. PREMIER PRINCE ( 5 )- bumped with another runner in the run to the first bend. HOMEBUSH FLYTE ( 7 )-was checked in to the first bend. PIXIE DUST ( 8 )-was checked in to the first bend when clipped from behind.
Race 2	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C2 FINAL - C2 - 520	CAWBOURNE FOXY ) 2 ) - angled outwards racing in to the bend on the first occasion checking herself and other runners BLACK ROADSTAR ( 3 ) -was checked between runners in to the first bend. MR MAIZE ( 7 ) - was checked between runners in to the first bend losing ground. OPAWA SHILOH ( 8 )- was checked racing in to the first bend as another runner was checked outwards.
Race 3	DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C2 - C2 - 520	CHARLIE RUNKEL ( 2 ) fav )- checked off heels racing in to the first bend going back a couple of lengths. KNUCKLE BUMP ( 5 )- racing in to the bend on the first occasion checked off heels running outwards coming together with another runner for several strides. MAKING TIME ( 6 )- was pushed outwards for some strides in the run in to the first bend. STORMY DAYS ( 7 )-- lost ground in the run towards the back straight when racing between runners finishing in the rear at the line and was checked by the vet and found to have pain over the right hind. AUTUMN LIGHTS ( 9/3 )- was clipped from behind racing in to the first bend. OPAWA EXTREME ( 10/4 )- checked off heels racing in to the first bend.
Race 4	FIRST SECURITY C5 - C5 - 305	ANGIE ZARR ( 7 )- racing off the mat was bumped sideways across the heels of another runner. AL'S GIRL ( 8 )- ran in sharply coming off the mat bumping in to ANGIE ZARR.
Race 5	LASER PLUMBING WANGANUI C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	BERNIE'S BOY ( 3 )- racing in to the bend on the first occasion ran out off heels bumping another runner. LONESOME NITRO ( 7 )- was bumped and pushed out wide racing around the first bend.
Race 6	AON CPF C2 - C2 - 305	OPAWA MAF ( 2 )- was checked and forced inwards soon after the start . NUI MAGIC ( 3 ) - was forced to check inwards across heels soon after the start . MISSING ALLEGRO ( 4 ) fav ) - soon after the start was bumped and jostled between runners for some distance going back catching heels and stumbling then racing widest thereafter finishing well back at the line and was checked by the vet and cleared. SHELLY MCBELL ( 5 )- bumped and jostled with other runner in the run to the first bend. SNOW BALL CHANCE ( 8 )- was forced to race wide across the top bend when attempting to improve his position.
Race 7	WANGANUI TOYOTA C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	CAWBOURNE ELPASO ( 4 )- shifted out on to another runner as he came off the mat awkwardly CAWBOURNE ELPASO was clipped from behind racing in to the first bend then ran outwards off heels between runners forcing another runner to be pushed out wide on to the bend. CAWBOURNE ROWAN ( 5 )- ran inwards nearing the first bend clipping heels. EFFECTIVE POWER ( 7 ) fav )- was checked and pushed out sideways running wide in the run across the top bend and was not able to recover finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 8	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	All clear
Race 9	Waterloo Cup Heat - C5 - 520	OUR GYPSY ( 4 )- improved through a tight gap racing in to the bend on the first occasion bumping with another runner and was tightened in to the far bend when racing in tight quarters DICK THE JERK ( 5 )- raced wide up in to a handy position racing in to the back straight where he jostled with other runners losing ground finishing in the rear at the line and was checked by the vet where had suffered a spike wound to the left hind.
Race 10	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C4 - C4 - 520	OPAWA SHAY ( 3 )- was bumped sideways for a stride or so in the run to the first bend. DOCKER ( 4 )- was checked and tightened back in the run to the first bend . FALL FROM GRACE ( 5 ) - was severely tightened and checked back in the run to the first bend . CAWBOURNE COOKS ( 6 ) - was checked back in the run to the first bend . SEDGEBROOK MAGIC ( 7 ) - cut across the face of several runners in the run to the first bend.
Race 11	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C3 - C3 - 305	NERO ( 2 )- made contact with hind quarters racing in to the bend ALLEGRO CODY ( 5 )-was bumped as they came off the mat losing momentum for a couple of strides where he settled in the rear in to the first bend. BIGTIME REIGN( 6 )- was checked when racing wide on to the top bend. BRILLIANT AVA ( 7 )- racing in to the bend was forced to check back off heels and went out bumping and jostling other runners BRILLIANT AVA lost ground and could not recover.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK.CO.NZ C3 - C3 - 305	BIGTIME RUNNINGS ( 1 ) - raced handy vied for the lead on the home turn and was tightened in the final stages as the winner lay in. ALLEGRO BOOM( 2 ) escaped from the handler at the stirrup and was soon caught and checked by the vet being cleared to start. ALLEGRO BOOM ran outwards from the start across the face of several runners nearing the home turn ALLEGRO BOOM was jostled and forced to check back and out over heels costing her ground. KAY MARTING ( 5 )- was checked soon after the start . ALLEGRO RUNNINGS ( 6 )- was bumped in the run to the first bend going out across the line of another runner . MALAKAI MAGIC ( 7 )- was hampered in the run to the first bend clipping heels and losing momentum. OPAWA BLAIR ( 8 )- when improving wide out nearing the home turn lay in causing a dog to check and go back and out over his heels, in the run to the line in the latter stages OPAWA BLAIR lay in tightening the inside runner to the line.
