CUT THE RIBBONS (4) was badly tightened in the back straight and fell with JINGA SNAG (1), MULBERRY THUNDER (3) and KIM'S MY NAME (5) all being checked and having their chances extinguished at this stage. CUT THE RIBBONS was referred to the vet for assessment and found to have a cut to a toe with a 7 day stand down recommended. |

JIMMY NAIL (3) and ANOTHER SPIN came together into the bend when racing at the rear. CUPCAKE (5) shifted up the track on the home turn pushing BEN JAMMING (8) over extra ground. |
| Race 4 | Hampden Tavern Stakes - C1 - 520 | HOMEBUSH HANSOME (4) was last to jump. TRICKY ACTION (6) was tightened in the early stages. In the run to the first bend CRYSTAL FLAME (1) ran outwards checking GOLDSTAR COCO (3). On the first bend OPAWA JEMAINE (7) angled inwards and was turned sideways for a stride when contacting TRICKY ACTION. LAGOON BELLE (8) was checked soon after when angling inwards and coming together with CRYSTAL FLAME. LAGOON BELLE then again ran inwards causing GOLDSTAR COCO to be checked and run up the track. KELLY'S MY NAME (5) and OPAWA JEMAINE ran wide in the back straight. |
| Race 5 | Challenge Opawa NZ Bred Sprint Heat 3 - C1q - 295 Heat 3 | ANOTHER VESPA (2) and KNOW HASSLE (4) were the last pair to jump. COOL DEXTER (1) ran outwards into the bend pushing ANA DIOR (3) and WHIP UPPA STORM (6) wider on the track. KNOW HASSLE ran wide on the home turn. |
| Race 6 | Challenge Opawa NZ Bred Sprint Heat 4 - C1q - 295 Heat 4 | BRONSON JEWEL (2) was last on jumping. CHILL OUT RACH (6) was checked into the bend and lost ground. BRONSON JEWEL ran outwards on the bend checking SWEET ABBY LEE (3) which dropped to the rear. CHILL OUT RACH checked off heels on the home turn and lost momentum. SWEET ABBY LEE was checked and cleared by the vet post race. |
| Race 7 | The Turf Bar Stakes - C1 - 520 | MAX BRAINSTRAIN (7) was very slow to jump. MOBILIZE (1) ran outwards into the first bend checking LAGOON ALLIRA (2). KNOW CHEERS (3) angled outwards on the bend pushing OPAWA PENNY (6) up the track into the path of CAWBOURNE ERU (8) with the trailing MAX BRAINSTRAIN badly hampered. OPAWA PENNY was screwed sideways in this incident and lost all chance with this bitch being referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury. |
| Race 8 | Challenge Opawa NZ Bred Sprint Heat 5 - C1q - 295 Heat 5 | PEYTON SAWYER (2) was checked in the back straight after ARCHIE'S DIJON (3) had run inwards. Into the bend HARLEQUIN PARADE (6) ran inwards losing ground when checking off the heels of OAKS HILL (5) checking ARCHIE'S DIJON and MAJOR BLOODNOK (4) with this dog falling. MAJOR BLOODNOK was checked and cleared by the vet post race. |
| Race 9 | Challenge Opawa NZ Bred Sprint Heat 6 - C1q - 295 Heat 6 | BO'S BUSINESS (7) was a late scratching when retrieved from the kennels after being found to be in season. FERAL COASTER (2) and ROYAL DESCENT (8) were the last pair to leave the traps. HAT TRICK CHAOS (1) ran outwards in the back straight and was then tightened into the bend dropping to the rear. As this dog lost ground the trailing FERAL COASTER was held up and forced to shift wide pushing ROYAL DESCENT wider on the track. GIGANAIRE (5) raced wide in the home straight with TOO MUCH SUGAR (4) receiving a slight check in consequence. |
| Race 10 | Christchurch Casino Stakes - C1 - 520 | HELL'S A COMING (7) was last on jumping. OAK SPUR (1) and ALBIE PUNTER (2) came together in the initial stages. Into the first bend OAK SPUR angled outwards and clipped the heels of ALBIE PUNTER with both runners losing momentum. HELL'S A COMING raced wide around the first bend. SPARE ACTION (6) ran wide in the back straight. ALBIE PUNTER was checked and cleared by the vet post race. |
