| Race 1 | Trophies Plus Sprint - C0 - 318 | MID COLLISION (7) stood in the boxes as the start was effected losing considerable ground. Alex Attack (2) and CALA D'OR (8) were slow away. BLAME THE CLOWN (5) made contact with MISS SHELLAC (4) and SUNSET MARJEN (6) leaving the boxes. BLAME THE CLOWN and SUNSET MARJEN then continued to make contact for a distance racing down the back straight with BLAME THE CLOWN losing ground. SUNSET MARJEN shifted in slightly racing into the first turn crowding MISS SHELLAC which shifted in making contact with the hindquarters of ALEX ATTACK losing ground inconveniencing CALA D'OR. Rounding the bend ALEX ATTACK shifted out off the heels of SUNSET MARJEN inconveniencing MISS SHELLAC. BLAME THE CLOWN raced wide throughout. |
| Race 2 | $10k Guaranteed Quaddie Sprint - C4 - 318 | HAPPY WIFE (3) and LOVELY RITA (4) came together soon after the start. DIVA POSE (5) and BAYMAX (2) came together soon after the start and continued to make contact for a distance racing down the back straight with BAYMAX losing ground. Racing into the first turn BAYMAX shifted out checking HAPPY WIFE then made contact with LOVELY RITA with these three runners losing ground. DIVA POSE and MADE TIME (6) came together for several strides when rounding the bend in the lead with MADE TIME losing ground inconveniencing WAERENGA STAR (7) which lost ground going back onto HAPPY WIFE which shifted out making solid contact with the hindquarters of BAYMAX with both runners unbalanced. MADE TIME then came together with MELMAN becoming unbalanced losing ground. HAPPY WIFE shifted in making contact with WAERENGA STAR entering the final straight. |
| Race 3 | Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C1 - 318 | SPEARMINT JUJU (1), UNILEVEN (2) and BILL RUSH (7) were last to leave the boxes. HOW'S YOUR MUM (4) was tightened coming together with ALLEGRO LASS (3) and TINY GREY (8) entering the first turn losing ground going back inconveniencing ROTOVEGAS SPARKY (6), BILL RUSH and SPEARMINT JUJU. TINY GREY shifted in rounding the bend into the line of BILL RUSH which got on this runners heels becoming unbalanced. Following this event BILL RUSH returned with an injury to its tail with a 10 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 4 | NZ Racing Series Graduation Final - NZRSf - 527 | OPAWA JANET (3) was slow away. THRILLING RIOT (7) and OPAWA KURU (8) came together soon after the start. FORTIS FLIER (5) shifted in leaving the boxes inconveniencing OPAWA ZENA (4) with these runners making contact for a distance racing into the first turn with THRILLING RIOT then shifting in making solid contact with these runners becoming badly unbalanced hampering IDOL LEANNE (2). OPAWA ZENA then shifted out hampering OPAWA JANET which was unbalanced. |
| Race 5 | Deli's Sports Bar Clendon Inn Sprint - C3 - 318 | SAVED BY LOVE (3) was slow away. SAVED BY LOVE shifted out racing toward the first turn inconveniencing EVA KANEVA (7) which shifted wider with SAVED BY LOVE then attempting to Improve into a marginal run between LET'S GO SPRITE (6) and PAT NOT PLAIT (8) making contact with the hindquarters of these runners, which then came together, with SAVED BY LOVE and PAT NOT PLAIT losing momentum. SKYLER WHITE (5) and LET'S GO SPRITE came together rounding the bend with KIT AND CABOODLE (4) then improving onto the heels of SKYLER WHITE with these runners becoming unbalanced losing ground inconveniencing EVA KANEVA. LET'S GO SPRITE was inconvenienced shifting off heels rounding the final bend. EVA KANEVA shifted in inconveniencing KIT AND CABOODLE entering the final straight when racing at the rear of the field. |
| Race 6 | Greyhound Function Centre Sprint - C3 - 318 | ATOONGA AIR (6) was slow away and was then further inconvenienced when NEED MAGIC (4) and VEGAS BURST (5) came together shifting out into the line of this runner. VEGAS BURST then shifted out onto SONIC ATTACK (7) and SIMPLY SAM (8) which came together. NEED MAGIC made contact with the hindquarters of ROCKIN' FANCY (2) entering the first turn then shifted out into the line of SIMPLY SAM which contacted this runners hindquarters losing ground. As a result SONIC ATTACK had to shift out off the heels of SIMPLY SAM losing ground. |
| Race 7 | MTA Gift Vouchers Sprint - C2 - 318 | SCOTT TIED UP (1), TEE KAY YAPPER (8) and IF IT FITZ (6) were last to leave the boxes. KYLA ROSE (5) shifted out leaving the boxes making contact with IF IT FITZ for several strides with KAPAI LANA (9) then shifting out abruptly hampering KYLA ROSE. KYLA ROSE and IF IT FITZ came together entering the first turn with KYLA ROSE becoming unbalanced shifting in making solid contact with KAPAI LANA with these runners hampered losing considerable ground. OPAWA LEIGH (2) and IF IT FITZ came together rounding the first turn. KYLA ROSE was referred to the veterinarian following this event with pain detected in the right quad with a 14 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 8 | Stitches Upholstery Stakes - C1 - 527 | OPAWA LEANNA (6) shifted in making contact with the hindquarters of OPAWA RICHIE (4) soon after the start. MR. MUMBLES (5) and APRIL'S MY MUM (7) angled in entering the first turn tightening OPAWA RICHIE, MONTANA (9) and FANTASTIC ZOE (1) which came together becoming badly unbalanced losing ground hampering OPAWA LEANNA, JINJA MIA (8) and OPAWA PAUL (10). |
| Race 9 | Plasterboard Ltd Sprint - C5 - 318 | THUNDERATION (1), NO MORE DEBT (4) and POWDER JACK (6) were last to leave the boxes. BRITNEY STAR (3) shifted out soon after the start with NO MORE DEBT (4) and POWDER JACK (6) making contact with the hindquarters of this runner. BRITNEY STAR then continued to shift out racing down the back straight checking POWDER JACK, then making contact with WHATU TRENDY (7), with POWDER JACK then shifting in making contact with NO MORE DEBT for a distance with POWDER JACK then becoming unbalanced shifting out getting on the heels of WHATU TRENDY which was badly unbalanced then appearing uncomfortable losing considerable ground. JUMP UP (5) and BRIGHT STAR (2) came together entering the first turn. A post race veterinary examination of WHATU TRENDY revealed an injury to the left hind hock with a 60 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 10 | Pump and Engineering Ltd Stakes - C2/3 - 527 | FANTASTIC AVA (7) shifted in abruptly leaving the boxes inconveniencing ZIMMER FRAME (6), INSTANT SUCCESS (5), MULTICAM RANGER (4) and SPUD MISSILE (3). MULTICAM RANGER and SPUD MISSILE came together entering the first turn with SPUD MISSILE losing ground. SPUD MISSILE raced in restricted room rounding the final bend and throughout the final straight. |
| Race 11 | Carol's TAB Clendon Inn Sprint - C1/2 - 318 | NIPPO (5) was last to leave the boxes and was then further inconvenienced when WHEELIE CHILLIE (7) shifted in making contact with this runner with these runners coming together again racing down the back straight. FORMATION (4) and ASTA (9) came together and jostled racing down the back straight with ASTA losing ground entering the first turn and FORMATION then shifting in making contact with the hindquarters of MYRNIONG GIRL (2). As a result ASTA shifted in placing HERE WITHOUT YOU (1) in restricted room for a distance with HERE WITHOUT YOU then having to steady and shift out across the heels of ASTA rounding the bend losing ground. OPAWA POPPY (8) became awkwardly placed near the running rail rounding the final bend shifting out abruptly inconveniencing ASTA. A post race veterinary examination of OPAWA POPPY revealed no abnormality. |
| Race 12 | Hewlett Electrical Stakes - C4/5 - 527 | PERCENTAGE GIRL (3) and BELCROFT BANKER (4) came together soon after the start. KIMETTO (6) and RAMPION (7) made contact racing toward the first turn. ABSINTHE MINDED (1) and PERCENTAGE GIRL came together racing into the first turn with PERCENTAGE GIRL shifting out. Entering the first turn BELCROFT BANKER angled in into the line of YAP'S ME MUM (2) which was checked shifting out across the heels of KIMETTO hampering PERCENTAGE GIRL which was taken wider across the heels of RAMPION. ABSINTHE MINDED got on the heels of GLOBAL CONQUEST (5) on several occasions rounding the bend leaving the back straight with these runners losing ground. |
| Race 13 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C1 - 318 | AGENT SCHRADER (2) was last to leave the boxes. UNO NATHAN (3) and PODIUM BONUS (4) came together for several strides racing down the back straight. AGENT SCHRADER got on the heels of BOTANY HOT SHOT (1) for several strides racing into the first turn with these runners losing ground. MISSING ALLEGRO (6) shifted out entering the final straight making solid contact with SNIGGLEPUSS (7) with these runners unbalanced losing momentum. |
