Track: Good The track was presented in a very good racing condition being well watered and groomed throughout the meeting. All other equipment operated well.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C3 - C3 - 305	GULLY FLAHERTY ( 2 ) was tightened bumped and jostled racing in to the first bend as BOX OF FLUFFIES ( 5 ) angled across to the rail. GULLY FLAHERTY went back to the rear catching the heels of BIGTIME MOOLA ( 6 ) . OPAWA TOMMO ( 1 ) was also checked as GULLY FLAHERTY came back through the field. KEENEL BOY ( 4 ) was checked and forced out widest in the run on to and across the top bend ,after covering extra ground finished well in to 3rd placing at the line. CRANKY PANTS was referred to the vet on returning to the wash bay at the Trainers request due to a small laceration to the near fore elbow a 7 day stand down was recommended.
Race 2	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS WANGANUI C3 - C3 - 305	BIG FAT GYPSY ( 1 ) ran outwards from the start bumping in to STOLE ME WALLET ( 4 ) STOLE ME WALLET recovered quickly to push forward angling inwards on to BIG FAT GYPSY who went back a length as ROBINS ZARR HOOD ( 5 ) came across bumping BIG FAT GYPSY. On their outer SECOND TIME ( 8 ) FUNKY FREDDY ( 7 ) and JOHNNY BRUCE ( 6 ) came across resulting in bumping and jostling between these runners and ROBINS ZARR HOOD and BIG FAT GYPSY who stumbled for a stride or so soon after racing in to the bend. MALAKAI MAGIC 9 2 ) was checked back at this point but quickly recovered to gain a run along the inner . ROBINS ZARR HOOD, JOHNNY BRUCE, FUNKY FREDDY and SECOND TIME all ran wide in to and on the top bend as a result of the earlier interference.
Race 3	DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C2 - C2 - 520	ZIMMER FRAME ( 4 ) was first away and was never headed there after. Trainers UDY/ BLIEK were spoken to by the Stewards in regards to a much improved performance tonight, the Trainers were expecting and improved run with the dog racing back in class 2. PANDA RING ( 7 ) ran on to the heels of ALLEGRO BEATY ( 6 ) in the run around the bend on the first occasion ,PANDA RING lost a couple of lengths at this point. Racing in to the back straight GLAD'S APOPPING ( 1 ) and PANDA RING were checked after being tightened between TRENDY MIND ( 8 ) and NITRO MARY ( 3 ) with both runners going back to the rear and were unable to get back in to contention.
Race 4	FIRST SECURITY C5 - C5 - 305	RITZA ROMAN ( 5 ) and BIG BOY DENO ( 6 )came together as they left the boxes. SUBIC BAY ( 7 ) fav ) and DREAMZONE ( 8 ) ran across from the jump hampering BIGBOY DENO and RITZA ROMAN for a stride or so . SUBIC BAY angled inwards on to AL'S GIRL ( 4 ) and CHEAP SHOT MATTY ( 1 ) tightening and checking these runners as the field raced in to the first bend DREAMZONE also angled across in to the bend bumping in to SEDGEBROOK BABE ( 2 ) who had to check out over the heels of SUBIC BAY.
Race 5	LASER PLUMBING WANGANUI C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	LADY ZEENA ( 7 ) led from the boxes and was never headed there after. The Stewards spoke to Trainer T Downey regarding the performance of LADY ZEENA tonight, T Downey reported that reverting from sprinting back to 520 metres getting a good start and gaining a clear uninterrupted run made the difference tonight. CHARLIE BO BO ( 6 ) racing past the post on the first occasion moved inwards severely tightening COSMIC BOSS ( 3 ) on to FALL FROM GRACE ( 1 ) fav ) with ANOTHER HABIT ( 5 ) and LONESOME NITRO ( 4 ) in behind being checked back . CHARLIE BO BO was checked a stride or so on as CAWBOURNE FOXY ( 8 ) improved past angling inwards causing CHARLIE BO BO to bump CAWBOURNE FOXY outwards , CHARLIE BO BO went back on to ANOTHER HABIT who was forced to check outwards across the face of ZIPPING JOCK ( 2 ) with these two runners going extremely wide around the first bend. CHARLIE BO BO raced widest along the back straight covering a bit of extra ground and finished towards the rear at the line. FALL FROM GRACE after striking trouble in the early stages recovered well to finish in to 2nd placing at the line.
Race 6	AON CPF C2 Ht1 - C2q - 305 Heat 1	DANDY STAR ( 1 ) angled back inwards racing in to the first bend across the face of SAMMY BAXTER ( 3 )who came together with RAGING DEMON ( 4 ) both dogs lost momentum and several lengths back towards the rear. VENGA GUAPA ( 8 )was forced to check out over the heels of CAWBOURNE GUNNA racing on to the top bend going under the neck of KINETIC ASSASIN ( 5 ) and BELFAST EJIT ( 6 ) with KENITIC ASSASIN being badly jostled and stumbling for a couple of strides losing momentum back to a clear last in the running . KENETIC ASSASIN finished on to the lure and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 7	WANGANUI TOYOTA C2 Ht2 - C2q - 305 Heat 2	CAWBOURNE SERINA ( 3 ) fav) missed the jump being last away by several lengths. NGAURUHOE ( 6 ) angled inwards soon after the start bumping HOMEBUSH SLINKY ( 5 ) who ran inwards on to DON'T MUZZLE ME ( 2 ). ALLEGRO POWER ( 7 ) soon after angled inwards on to NGAURUHOE tightening this runner in on to BELFAST SMARTY ( 4 ) NGAURUHOE went back catching heels with ALLEGRO POWER pushing BELFAST SMARTY inwards and back off heels. NGAURUHOE lost ground on the top bend and appeared to be uncomfortable in his galloping action in to the home turn finishing on to the lure a margin in the rear and was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have a tear in the left gracils muscle a 28 day stand down was recommended
Race 8	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C2 Ht3 - C2q - 305 Heat 3	BIT COIN ( 7 ) held the start up briefly when being hard to box away and after speaking with Mrs Duganzich the dog will assessed as a box first at it's next start GRAND ALLEGRO ( 6 ) angled inwards midway to the first bend crowding MISS MOWHAWK ( 5 ) in on to IF IT FITZ ( 3 ) ,soon after MISS MOWHAWK angled outwards coming together with BIT COIN ( 7 ) stumbling for a stride or so as she went back catching the heels of MISS MOWHAWK. MEAT DAMON ( 8 ) fav ) wasn't best away and was forced to race wide when attempting to improve across the top bend finishing in 5th placing at the line. Trainer N Phillips requested a vet check on MEAT DAMON which revealed no abnormalities.
Race 9	METEOR OPD WANGANUI C2 Ht4 - C2q - 305 Heat 4	HOMEBUSH ZANE ( 4 ) moved in soon after the start as ALLEGRO RUNNING ( 2 ) fav ) came out resulting in ALLEGRO ALL GO ( 3 ) being tightened and jostled between them. ALLEGRO ALL GO went back a length or so HOMEBUSH ZANE angled in on to ALLEGRO RUNNINGS bumping and jostling with this runner for some distance as the field raced in to the bend . HOMEBUSH ZANE and ALLEGRO RUNNINGS lost ground back to the rear and were unable to get back in to contention . ELITE DOSE ( 7 ) was forced wide in to the first bend when attempting to improve her position but was unable to make al of of ground finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 10	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	TIMMA TURTLE ( 2 ) fav ) wasn't best away racing midfield on the inner in to the bend on the first occasion where he ran out over the heels of MISS ELDORA ( 3 ) checking CAWBOURNE SPREE ( 4 ) and CAWBOURNE COOKS ( 8 ) wide in to the first bend . TIMMA TURTLE went to angle back inwards as DOCKER ( 5 ) improved in to the gap between OUR GYPSY ( 7 ) on the rail and TIMMA TURTLE bumping the shoulder of this runner who stumbled going back on to READY MADE SIZE ( 6 ) and CAWBOURNE SPREE ( 4 ) who were both checked going back to the rear. TIMMA TURTLE after losing a fair amount of ground around the first bend made ground strongly in to 3rd placing at the line and was referred to the vet as a precaution where no abnormalities were found. READY MADE SIZE and CAWBOURNE SPREE after being checked in the early running were unable to get back in to contention.
Race 11	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	JINJA COLL ( 3 ) angled outwards soon after the start across the line of UNO BRENT and BECOMING PAW.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	LONE STAR LAD ( 5 ) fav ) was only fairly away from the boxes and was forced to race wide when improving in to a handy position angled inwards on the home turn coming in on to the shoulder of MEGA JET ( 4 ) for a stride or so. OPAWA LACHLAN ( 7 ) bumped in to ASTERIA ( 8 ) on the home turn when attempting to angle outwards, both runners were checked and finished in the rear at the line.
