| Race 1 | WELCOME TO THE NEW SEASON - C2/3 - 390 | CHICAGO BLACK (6) ran inwards shortly after the start forcing SOUTHERN MIST (5) down the track and into the running line of HUMAN INSTINCT (4) and ANOTHER FAN (2), both of which were hampered. SOUTHERN MIST and ALEX RUMBLE (7) collided in the early stages when SOUTHERN MIST checked outwards across heels. OPAWA CRUSADE (9/3) raced in restricted room approaching the bend when inside ANOTHER FAN which ran inwards. |
| Race 2 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 390 | ESKIMO CHILL (10/3) and EPIC KNOXY (2) collided leaving the boxes, with EPIC KNOXY colliding with DAN BLUE BLOOD (1) shortly after. ESKIMO CHILL was crowded through the early stages when between EPIC KNOXY and ROOKIE RACER (4), both of which shifted ground. MISS BLUE SKY (5) and HOMEBUSH SCRIBE (6) were checked entering the bend when tightened for room between EPIC KNOXY and IDOL EVE (8) which ran inwards. DAN BLUE BLOOD ran wide rounding the bend hampering ROOKIE RACER, ESKIMO CHILL and CELTIC WARRIOR (7). DAN BLUE BLOOD continued to shift ground outwards colliding with the hindquarters of HOMEBUSH SCRIBE shortly after. ROOKIE RACER and HOMEBUSH SCRIBE collided in the early stages of the home straight, with HOMEBUSH SCRIBE becoming unbalanced and shifting outwards into the line of ESKIMO CHILL which was inconvenienced, |
| Race 3 | GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C1 - 390 | NO TINKERBELL (4) checked outwards across the heels of THRILLING SHRIMP (6) rounding the bend, losing momentum. |
| Race 4 | ASCOT PARK CONSORTIUM - C0 - 457 | LUCIASTAR (4) was slow to jump. SERGIO DESTROYER (3) and SERGIO STAR (6) collided shortly after the start. LUCIASTAR ran outwards entering the bend checking SERGIO STAR which lost ground. Rounding the bend, MYA TIME (9/2) collided with the hindquarters of HOMEBUSH SLOAN (5) when attempting to shift outwards to obtain clear running. |
| Race 5 | ADDED ENERGY DASH - C2 - 390 | OPAWA OPAL (5) lost its footing momentarily leaving the boxes. OPAWA IDOL (6) was crowded shortly after the start when racing to the inside of LOTS OF BEERSIES (7) which ran inwards. HARDEN FASTER (3) and HIS NIBS (4) collided on several occasions racing into the bend, with HARDEN FASTER shifting outwards and colliding with WHAT I LIKE (8) shortly after. |
| Race 6 | SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 457 | STORMING MACK (4) was crowded leaving the boxes when between ALBIE MCLEOD (5) and OPAWA ALEX (3) which ran outwards. HOMEBUSH SKIP (1) stumbled shortly after the start losing ground. GOODBYE PORKPIE (6) raced wide rounding the bend and throughout the home straight. |
| Race 7 | ORETI BEACH RUN - C1 - 457 | KNOW HASSLE (1) was slow to jump. CRONOS (5) ran inwards and collided with RIB CURLER (10/4) shortly after the start. CRONOS, DEBORAH BAY (6) and KNOW RESPECT (7) raced in restricted room through the early stages when inside SHIFT THE BLAME (8) which ran inwards. UNVERIFIED (3) ran outwards and collided with CRONOS entering the bend. UNVERIFIED was then crowded rounding the bend when between RIB CURLER and CRONOS which ran inwards. |
| Race 8 | MR WHIPPY SOUTHLAND - C4 - 390 | BIRCHBROOK (4) was slow to jump. HOMEBUSH ERROL (7) ran inwards sharply entering the bend checking PUMA PANTS (5), with the trailing HOMEBUSH RILEY (3) being hampered when unable to avoid heels. HOMEBUSH RILEY improved up onto the heels of CHOKEHOLD (8) rounding the bend resulting in that runner being dragged down for several strides. As a consequence, HOMEBUSH ERROL became held up when placed in restricted room for a short distance, with the trailing BIRCHBROOK being inconvenienced when becoming awkwardly placed on heels. CHOKEHOLD underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no obvious abnormalities. |
| Race 9 | SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C1 - 390 | FEAR MARINA (7) shifted inwards and contacted the hindquarters of OPAWA EXPRESS (6) through the early stages. FRECKLE FLYER (2) and GLORY HOG (3) jostled for a short distance racing into the bend, with GLORY HOG losing ground. CHARLIE RUNKEL (5) ran inwards over the concluding stages placing DEFINITE (1) and FEAR MARINA in restricted room. |
| Race 10 | SGRC TIPPING COMPETITION - C2/3 - 457 | ANOTHER LIZ (4) ran inwards shortly after the start inconveniencing IN THE BOOT (3). KNOW LAPSE (5) and ANOTHER LIZ were crowded racing into the bend when inside PUKEKO BOLT (8) which ran inwards. |
