| Race 1 | AGRC Rewards Sprint - C1 - 318 | OPAWA UNO (5) was slow away. HOT STAR (1) and PLAITING PUSS (2) came together soon after the start and jostled for a distance. MORE SALT NEEDED (4) then shifted in making contact with these runners with these three runners then continuing to make contact racing down the back straight with HOT STAR and PLAITING PUSS becoming unbalanced losing ground entering the first turn going back onto OPAWA UNO which was hampered. HOT STAR shifted out rounding the bend making contact with OPAWA UNO on several occasions with both runners inconvenienced losing ground. |
| Race 2 | Lochinvar Marlow Sprint - C0 - 318 | MISS SHELLAC (2) and BLOOMINGDALES (3) came together soon after the start with BLOOMINGDALES then shifting across heels making contact with TEN FEET TALL (6). Racing down the back straight JUST AS GENTLE (5) shifted in making contact with MOCHA CHINO (4) and LITTLE KIWI (1) which both lost ground. Racing down the back straight MISS SHELLAC shifted out tightening BLOOMINGDALES out onto TEN FEET TALL with BLOOMINGDALES losing ground. MISS SHELLAC then continued to shift out making contact with TEN FEET TALL entering the first turn. JUST AS GENTLE was tightened and checked entering the first turn losing ground inconveniencing LITTLE KIWI. JUST AS GENTLE got on the heels of HOWS YOUR MUM for a stride rounding the final bend and again early in the final straight. |
| Race 3 | Hewlett Electrical Sprint Series Heat 1 - C2q - 318 Heat 1 | GO ANDWYN (3) and SIMPLY YETI (4) came together soon after the start. SIMPLY YETI shifted out racing down the back straight getting on the heels of FORTIS FIONA (6) with both runners becoming unbalanced for several strides. MR. MUMBLES (1), LORD DE AIR (2) and GO ANDWYN came together for a distance racing into the first turn with LORD DE AIR and GO ANDWYN unbalanced losing ground going back onto FORTIS FIONA and SIMPLY YETI which were both checked. Rounding the final bend WOBOURN ABBEY (5) improved onto the heels of CYCLONE LUSI (7) with these runners then coming together for a stride with CYCLONE LUSI then shifting out to race wide entering the final straight. GO ANDWYN and SIMPLY YETI came together rounding the final bend. |
| Race 4 | Hewlett Electrical Sprint Series Heat 2 - C2q - 318 Heat 2 | LOVELY RITA (1) and FORTIS FLIER (2) came together soon after the start and continued to make contact racing down the back straight with LOVELY RITA becoming unbalanced losing ground entering the first turn. INDEFINITE ORDER (5) made contact with the hindquarters of THRILLING WIGGLE (4) entering the first turn losing ground. LOVELY RITA shifted out rounding the final bend inconveniencing DIPSY LALA (7) and INDEFINITE ORDER which both lost ground. |
| Race 5 | Deli's Sports Bar Clendon Inn Sprint - C1 - 318 | AGENT SCHRADER (3) was slow away. GIMME HOT CHIPS (5) and BOTANY HOT SHOT came together for several strides racing down the back straight. SNIGGLEPUSS (2) shifted in racing down the back straight tightening RAGING DEMON (1) which was inconvenienced shifting out across this runners heels making contact with BOTANY HOT SHOT which became unbalanced. Inconvenienced as a result were GIMME HOT CHIPS and CAWBOURNE NEVADA (7). Rounding the bend AGENT SCHRADER improved onto the heels of GIMME HOT CHIPS which was dragged down and fell. Inconvenienced as a result of the fallen runner were RAGING DEMON, BOTANY HOT SHOT and CAWBOURNE NEVADA. GIMME HOT CHIPS regained its footing to finish the event some distance from the field. GIMME HOT CHIPS was referred to the veterinarian following this event which revealed no abnormality. |
| Race 6 | www.agrc.co.nz Sprint - C4 - 318 | ATOONGA AIR (3) was slow away. CALAMITY FREE (5) shifted in soon after the start making contact with ALLEGRO BOOM (4) which was unbalanced shifting in onto SONIC ATTACK (2). CALAMITY FREE then continued to shift in making contact with SONIC ATTACK which was inconvenienced losing ground then shifting out across this runners heels. ALLEGRO BOOM made contact with the hindquarters of ANIU (6) for a distance racing down the back straight with SONIC ATTACK then shifting out making contact with these runners entering the first turn with ALLEGRO BOOM and SONIC ATTACK losing ground. Rounding the bend DON’T BRAG (1) was tightened and checked losing ground with DON’T BRAG going back inconveniencing ATOONGA AIR (3), CALAMITY FREE, GOOD RETURN (7) and ANIU. |
| Race 7 | Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C3 - 318 | RED RASCAL (2) and FRESCO STAR (10) were last to leave the boxes. NO MORE DEBT (4), FRANKINCENSE (5) and EKALI (6) were tightened and inconvenienced losing ground racing down the back straight when ASTA (8) shifted in and FABRELEE (1) shifted out. FRANKINCENSE, EKALI and NEED MAGIC (9) came together for several strides entering the first turn. FRANKINCENSE shifted out off heels rounding the bend taking EKALI and NEED MAGIC very wide with these runners losing ground. |
| Race 8 | $25K Terminating Pick6 Stakes - C1 - 527 | INSTANT SUCCESS (3) and FANTASTIC ZOE (4) made solid contact leaving the boxes becoming unbalanced coming together with CAWBOURNE WALES (5). OPAWA LEANNA (1) and MR. FUSS POT (2) made brief contact soon after leaving the boxes. JINJA MIA (8) shifted in soon after the start inconveniencing PODIUM BONUS (7), CAWBOURNE WALES and FANTASTIC ZOE which all came together losing ground. CAWBOURNE WALES and MR. FUSS POT made contact racing into the first turn with CAWBOURNE WALES then shifting out to race wide for a distance. JINJA MIA (8) shifted in rounding the first turn inconveniencing INSTANT SUCCESS. MR. FUSS POT was tightened losing ground rounding the turn entering the back straight. |
| Race 9 | Carol's TAB Clendon Inn Sprint - C5 - 318 | MITTYESQUE was a late scratching at 12.32pm on veterinary advice. MADE TIME (2) and BAYMAX (3) came together soon after the start. HALLO STAR (5) and NANGAR STAR (6) came together on several occasions racing down the back straight. RITZA ROMAN (4) and BAYMAX made contact for several strides racing toward the first turn with BAYMAX losing ground. Entering the first turn in a compact line, WILD EFFECTIVE (1), MADE TIME, RITZA ROMAN, HALLO STAR and NANGAR STAR all came together with these runners all unbalanced and inconvenienced with WILD EFFECTIVE, RITZA ROMAN and HALLO STAR losing considerable ground. Also inconvenienced was BAYMAX which took evasive action shifting wide losing ground. |
| Race 10 | DogZone Stakes - C2/3 - 527 | PERCENTAGE GIRL (8) was slow away. ZIMMER FRAME (5) and MULTICAM RANGER (6) made brief contact racing into the first turn. |
| Race 11 | Plasterboard Ltd Stakes - C4 - 527 | BORIS GUMP (2) and STINGER (5) were slow away. STINGER and BORIS GUMP came together soon after the start and continued to make contact for a distance racing into the first turn with these runners shifting in making contact with THRILLING FLO (1) which was unbalanced. STINGER and BORIS GUMP then continued to make contact for the remainder of the event when STINGER was attempting to shift in with these runners losing considerable ground. Rounding the final bend THRILLING FLO was tightened shifting out across the heels of GLOBAL CONQUEST (6) making brief contact with KIMETTO (8). MISS VELOCETTE (7) and CAWBOURNE MATTY (3) came together entering the final straight. |
| Race 12 | Pump and Engineering Ltd Stakes - C5 - 527 | BELCROFT BANKER (3) and LUCKY MAN (4) came together soon after the start with these runners then tightened losing ground when YAP’S ME MUM (2) shifted out and CAWBOURNE BRICK (5) shifted in with these runners then making contact. BELCROFT BANKER then shifted in making solid contact with JOE JOE (1) with these runners then tightened to the inside of YAP’S ME MUM making contact for a distance. Inconvenienced as a result was CAWBOURNE CLAY which became awkwardly placed on heels shifting out making contact with LUCKY MAN, which was taken out onto WHO DAT BOY, with CAWBOURNE CLAY then getting on the heels of YAP’S ME MUM for several strides losing ground. BELCROFT BANKER (3) shifted in inconveniencing JOE JOE which lost ground rounding the first turn. CAWBOURNE CLAY made contact with the hindquarters of LUCKY MAN entering the final straight. |
| Race 13 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C1 - 318 | SCOTT TIED UP (1) and JUMP ON IT (8) were slow away. MALIGNED (4), ON DEMAND (5) and WAIRIO DEE JAY (6) came together soon after the start losing ground. Soon after leaving the boxes LE ROI (3) made brief contact with FORMATION (2) who shifted in inconveniencing SCOTT TIED UP. WAIRIO DEE JAY angled in entering the first turn making contact with ON DEMAND becoming unbalanced losing ground. SCOTT TIED UP and LE ROI came together rounding the bend. WAIRIO DEE JAY shifted very wide entering the final straight when racing at the rear of the field. A post race veterinary examination of WAIRIO DEE JAY revealed no abnormality. |
