Judicial report: SKUZI (Race 11) was incorrectly shown in the GRNZ system as having weighed 34.5kgs at its previous start at Wanganui on the 24/07/16 when it actually weighed 31.5kgs. This information was passed onto the on course commentator for public dissemination.

Race 1	Deli's Sports Bar Clendon Inn Sprint - C3 - 318	NEED MAGIC (2) and JINJA FANTASY (3) came together for a stride shortly after jumping.
Race 2	Greyhound Function Centre Sprint - C0 - 318	MISS SHELLAC (10 - Box 4) and SCOTT NO SHOW (7) bumped approaching the first turn with HOWS YOUR MUM (8) then shifting in hampering both of those runners before contacting the hind quarters of MOCHA CHINO (1), which was turned sideways a stride. HOWS YOUR MUM and SCOTT NO SHOW made solid contact approaching the home turn with both runners becoming unbalanced briefly.
Race 3	Carol's TAB Clendon Inn Sprint - C2 - 318	JUMP ON IT (2) was slow to leave the boxes but quickly recovered. EKALI (5) shifted out shortly after jumping and contacted TRIDENT (6) for several strides. LOVELY RITA (4) shifted in early and made contact with VEGAS BURST (3), which resulted in LOVELY RITA being turned sideways briefly. TRIDENT raced wide on the turn.
Race 4	AGRC Rewards Sprint - C1 - 318	AGENT SCHRADER (3) began awkwardly but soon recovered. HOT STAR (7), LE ROI (6) and BOTANY BEV (9 - Box 5) came together and jostled briefly shortly after jumping. LE ROI had to check off the back of BOTANY BEV, which shifted out, over the early stages with LE ROI then shifting in making solid contact with SO OVER IT, which was turned sideways. BOTANY BEV then continued to shift up the track checking HOT STAR, which lost ground, and RAGING DEMON (8). BOTANY BEV raced wide on the turn.
Race 5	Pump and Engineering Ltd Stakes - C1 - 527	SCOTT TO GO (8) was very slow to jump losing considerable ground. CAWBOURNE WALES (4) and FANTASTIC ZOE (5) came together briefly soon after the start. GOLDEN IVY (3) had to check off the back of CAWBOURNE WALES entering the first turn and lost ground.
Race 6	Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C4 - 318	ZIPPING STEVE (3) and ANIU (4) came together briefly shortly after jumping. SIMPLE AND PLAIN (2) got onto the hindquarters of WHATU TRENDY (1) for a stride shortly after settling. CALAMITY FREE (7) shifted in over the early stages checking ANIU and ZIPPING STEVE. SIMPLE AND PLAIN lost ground on the turn when racing between DON'T BRAG (6) and WHEELIE GOOD (8). WHEELIE GOOD then raced wide on the home turn. ZIPPING STEVE and WHATU TRENDY came together for several strides early in the run home.
Race 7	DogZone Stakes - C1/2 - 527	APRIL'S MY MUM (8) was slow to jump. ELECTRIC IMPULSE (3) shifted in early forcing MONTANA (2) down onto THRILLING RIOT (1), with MONTANA losing ground. THRILLING RIOT got onto the hindquarters of FORTIS FLYER (5) entering the first turn with both runners being momentarily inconvenienced.
Race 8	$25K Terminating Pick6 Sprint - C3 - 318	ASTA (2) shifted out early contacting SACRED CAN YOU (4) which was checked when turned sideways. LOOKS ALL GOOD (8) and IDOL GEE (6) came together for some strides on the turn before losing ground. LOOKS ALL GOOD then had to check off the back of IDOL GEE approaching the home turn when then runner shifted down to the rail.
Race 9	Hewlett Electrical Sprint - C5 - 318	POWDER JACK (1) was slow to jump and settled at the rear. BRIGHT STAR (8) shifted in entering the first turn forcing NANGAR STAR (5) down onto WILD EFFECTIVE (3), with NANGAR STAR then shifting out onto SUBIC BAY, which also was checked and lost ground.
Race 10	Lochinvar Marlow Sprint - C2 - 318	LOCHA KNOCKA was a late scratching at 2.40pm under Rule 64.11 when found to be in season with a 28 day stand down imposed. FORTIS FIONA (3) shifted in over the early stages and contacted the hindquarters of ROCKIN FANCY (2) for several strides. THRILLING WIGGLE (5) and LITTLE RASCAL (7) came together briefly approaching the first turn with LITTLE RASCAL losing ground. FORTIS FIONA had to check off the heels of PEACOCK PRINCESS (6) rounding the turn.
Race 11	Plasterboard Ltd Stakes - C5 - 527	PROPHECY (1) and JOE JOE (2) made brief contact approaching the first turn. OUR HEISENBERG (4) had to check off the back of YAP'S ME MUM (6) entering the turn. PROPHECY then got onto the hindquarters of OUR HEISENBERG shortly after and went back onto JOE JOE (2), which was checked and contacted the rail. PROPHECY and OUR HEISENBERG were badly checked in this incident and lost considerable ground. PROPHECY was referred to the Vet for assessment which revealed no abnormality. JOE JOE also underwent a post race veterinary examination which detected no abnormality.
Race 12	Stitches Upholstery Stakes - C3/4 - 527	BORIS GUMP (4) was slow to jump. MELHAM (6) and FANTASTIC RICKI (7) came together for some strides early. MELHAM shifted in entering the first turn contacting OPAWA KURU (3) which then shifted out checking FANTASTIC RICKI and BORIS GUMP, which both lost considerable ground.
Race 13	Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C1 - 318	GROWLER JET (1) was slow to begin. UNO NATHAN (3) shifted in early contacting SAVED BY LOVE (2) for some strides. UNO NATHAN then shifted out contacting the hindquarters of FORMATION (4) before colliding with MORE SALT NEEDED (8). GROWLER JET, which was in behind, was badly checked in this incident and lost considerable ground. SCOTT NO VALUE (6) also lost ground approaching the first turn when bumped by MORE SALT NEEDED before then having to check off the heels of that runner when it shifted inwards. SAVED BY LOVE shifted wide early in the run home.
