RUA RAMA (5) was crowded and became unbalanced going into the bend and lost three lengths. GULLY FLAHERTY (4) began well but was briefly jostled and drifted on the bend and finished last. |
| Race 2 | LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 FINAL - C1f - 520 | YOU'RE SO FREE (4) was checked back to the rear soon after the start when CULVIE DEN shifted out and crowded her. CAWBOURNE JAZZY (2) and CAWBOURNE FOXY (5) were tightened between runners going to the first corner and they lost two lengths. CAWBOURNE FOXY then made up ground well and finished in 2nd place. |
| Race 3 | FIRST SECURITY C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | VITO BAXTER (4) shifted in going into the bend and crowded ALLEGRO TOUCH (3), ANGIE ZARR (2) and EFFECTIVE POWER (1) with MISS ELDORA (8) also affected and they finished in the last four places. ALLEGRO TOUCH was tightened between runners on the bend and was shuffled back to last and finished in that position. |

MAKING TIME (3) and CAWBOURNE PANIC (5) bumped soon after the start and settled back. They shifted in going into the bend and collided again losing several lengths and stayed back for the remainder of the race. MAKING TIME was referred to the Vet after making contact with the rail and was found to have abdomen bruising. |
| Race 6 | AON CPF C2 - C2 - 305 | OPAWA SPRINTER (3) began awkwardly and went up with the box lids losing four lengths but made up ground well for 5th place. PACIFIC VIBE (5) checked over the heels of SERVE YA PURPOSE (2) going into the bend and they were unbalanced briefly and lost ground. |
| Race 7 | WANGANUI CHRONICLE C2 - C2 - 520 | RED EXPRESS began awkwardly losing ground and settled back where he stayed for the remainder of the race. SWIFTLY CHLOE (5) shifted out from the start and hampered CHARLIE BO BO (7) briefly. SWIFTLY CHLOE then shifted in and inconvenienced OPAWA EXTREME (3) and PETAL SANNETTE (2) for a short distance. OPAWA EXTREME was referred to the Vet and found to have left gracilis muscle pain. |

DREAMZONE (7) and HAPPY WIFE (9) shifted across from the start and crowded HIGH PERCENTAGE (5), PINK SHELLAC (4) and SCOOTER'S ROSE (3) which all checked back to the rear and stayed there. |

BOSTON HEART (5) shifted in a short distance after the start and checked HAWKESBURY FEVER (3) which lost ground. HAWKESBURY FEVER was referred to the Vet and found to have a webbing injury requiring suturing. |

BRILLIANT JAYLA (6) was awkwardly positioned in restricted room going into the bend and was checked losing three lengths. |

HOMEBUSH TIARE shifted out going to the first corner and bumped with FREDDY BEDROCK (5) and they were unbalanced losing ground and finished at the rear. |
