Track: Fast .The meeting start time was put back one race (20 minutes) to permit the track to properly thaw out after overnight frost.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil.

Judicial report: NEISY'S BABE (JT McInerney) was suspended for three months for a second charge under Rule 79.1b of marring the running of another greyhound in Race 2, with the greyhound required to complete a Satisfactory Trial.

Race 1	Otago GRC Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310	KNOW BARGAIN (8) jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Into the turn MACHINE MAN (1) and DAN BLUE BLOOD (6) bumped and lost momentum. Into the straight MACHINE MAN ran outwards checking HOMEBUSH SCRIBE (3) with the trailing KNOW BARGAIN checked.
Race 2	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 310	Into the turn TODD BLUE BLOOD (3) clipped the heels of ROOKIE RACER (5) which lost ground with the trailing LOCKY BAXTER (2) also checked when NEISY'S BABE (1) ran outwards on the turn. Into the straight NEISY'S BABE turned her head and ran outwards making muzzle contact with BROKEN PENNILESS (7) who became unbalanced and lost ground. Stewards reviewed the film and deemed that NEISY'S BABE had marred the running of another greyhound and as this was the second offence for the greyhound a suspension of three (3) months was imposed under Rule 79.1 with the greyhound required to complete a Satisfactory Trial.
Race 3	Green Island Barber Stakes - C0 - 545	SUCH FUN (3) jumped slowly and lost ground early. Into the first turn WAIMAK SHEFF (2) ran outwards clipping the heels of KALONGA (5) and checking the trailing HOMEBUSH SLOAN (4) and SERGIO DESTROYER (7). In the back straight LIGHT THAW (6) ran outwards and dictated SERGIO DESTROYER wide on the track.
Race 4	Dave Robbie Photographer Stakes - C1 - 545	From the jump OPAWA ALEX (3) ran outwards checking RHINEGOLDE (4) and SPRING SAM (5) on his outside. Shortly afterwards OZARK'S WATCH (8) crossed and checked the running of RHINEGOLDE and SPRING SAM
Race 5	Keyosk Service Bar Sprint - C1 - 310	In the run to the turn ARCHIES DIJON (4) shifted ground inwards tightening DEVILSKIN (2). Into the turn ARCHIES DIJON clipped the rear of DEFINITE (5) who had checked outwards off the heels of IDOL STAR (6). DEFINITE then became unbalanced and ran outwards forcing ARCHIES DIJON wide with the trailing DEBORAH BAY (3) severely checked and falling. DEBORAH BAY regained her feet and finished the race a distant last. A post race veterinary check of DEBORAH BAY revealed no abnormalities.
Race 6	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C2 - 310	From the jump HOMEBUSH RILEY (8) ran inwards and HUMAN INSTINCT (4) shifted ground outwards with runners in between being tightened and TIMELY REMINDER (6) losing ground. Into the turn THUNDER DRAGON (5) pushed outwards and became unbalanced when colliding with ANOTHER JAMIE (7) with both dogs losing ground.
Race 7	Farewell Ugo Flash Sprint - C1 - 310	On the turn BEN JAMMING (3) checked outwards off the heels of OPAWA EXPRESS (8) and ran wide.
Race 8	Bramwell Scaffolding Stakes - C1 - 545	RIB CURLER (5) was slow to jump and lost ground early. On the first turn JEWEL APACHE (3) ran outwards checking RIB CURLER and bumping HERITAGE WATCH (6) who was turned sideways and in turn dictated OPAWA FAITH (6) wide on the bend.
Race 9	St Kilda Veterinary Centre Stakes - C2 - 545	OPAWA JEMAINE (8) bounded at the start and lost several lengths. On the first turn IDOL LEANNE (4) ran inwards bumping KNOW CLOWN (1) with both dogs losing ground.
Race 10	Speedprint Shop Sprint - C2 - 310	At the jump HOMEBUSH ARIEL (5) shifted ground abruptly outwards checking HIS NIBS (6) and ANOTHER SPIN (7) with all three dogs losing ground. Into the turn BURSAR (8) ran bumping KINLOCH POWER (2) and checking the trailing OPAWA IDOL (1) and ANOTHER SPIN.
Race 11	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C4/5 - 545	No racing incidents to report.
Race 12	Happy 50th Birthday Julie Sprint - C3 - 310	ROYAL ACTION (5) bounded at the jump losing ground. Into the turn OPAWA ROCKET (8) ran inwards checking KNOW LAPSE (6) who ran wide losing ground. On the turn CHOKEHOLD (7) was held up behind ROYAL ACTION (5) and lost momentum.
Race 13	Otago Highlands Sprint Final - C5f - 310	KNOW THANKS (9/1) was slow to jump and lost ground. MICKEY TEE (6) shifted ground outwards at the jump checking BURN EARLY (6) On the turn and into the straight CHICAGO BLACK (2) shifted ground outwards checking BURN EARLY several times with the trailing MICKEY TEE clipping the heels of BURN EARLY and both dogs losing ground.
Race 14	Racing Again Tuesday 2nd August - C3/4 - 310	OPAWA VAL (7) jumped awkwardly and lost momentum. From the jump ANOTHER FORTUNE (2) ran outwards tightening AIDEN BAXTER (3) and MR MARINE (4). Into the turn HOMEBUSH KELSO (8) ran inwards and checked OPAWA CRUSADE (6).
