Track: Good The track was well prepared and provided a very good racing surface throughout the programme which proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: BOX OF FLUFFIES, which was stood down following a race on 17.06.16 was represented to the Vet on this day, under Rule 81.5 and was cleared of injury and the original stand down was rescinded and BOX OF FLUFFIES is now clear to race. Trainer S.Stone indicated that she intended to defend a charge under Rule 87.1 p which will be referred to the JCA for adjudication.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305	HOMEBUSH LUCIFER and BELFAST EEJIT were the slowest to begin and settled back. They came together again and jostled with OPAWA TOMMO going into the bend and were briefly unbalanced. HOMEBUSH LUCIFER recovered well and finshed in 2nd place. KALISI rolled out slightly entering the home straight and forced CASUAL SLIPPER onto BIGTIME MOOLA and those two were hampered and lost momentum briefly.
Race 2	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 FINAL - C1f - 520	IVANHOV and RED HOT ACTION bumped together when the start was made and RED HOT ACTION was unbalanced and was a clear last going into the first bend. WORBOYS shifted out slightly going into the first bend and forced OPAWA SPICE, SASHA MCBELL and BELFAST BARRY wide over extra ground and they stayed back for the remainder of the race to finish in the last three places.
Race 3	FIRST SECURITY C2 - C2 - 520	BIG RED CHEV checked over the heels of CAWBOURNE GRACIE going into the first bend and forced YOU'RE SO FREE over extra ground and she lost four lengths.
Race 4	DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C3 - C3 - 305	BIG BOY DENO shifted in going into the bend and checked BIGTIME REIGN which went back causing checks to ANOTHER COVER and MANU RAMA and all three lost ground and they never recovered and finished at the rear.
Race 5	LASER PLUMBING C5 - C5 - 305	NERO was slow away from the boxes losing two lengths. RITZA ROMAN shifted in going to the first corner and crowded LONE STAR LAD and SUBIC BAY which were both inconvenienced for a short distance. LONE STAR LAD then began to lose ground and went back hampering NERO which had to change ground to avoid that runner. LONE STAR LAD eventually finished several lengths last and appeared uncomfortable in his action and was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to have pain in quadricep, triangle and pectoral muscles.
Race 6	AON CPF C2 - C2 - 305	KA PAI shifted in a short distance after the start and inconvenienced TONGARIRO which had to steady and angled out over heels making contact with SERVE YA PURPOSE and they were both momentarily hampered.
Race 7	HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL FREEMAN C2 - C2 - 305	FUNKY FREDDY shifted in going into the bend and caused a check to TAKEAWAY racing adjacent to the rail and he lost several lengths and all chance and finished last. TAKEAWAY was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and was cleared of injury apart from minor abrasions. OPAWA LACHLAN raced very wide on the bend and into the home straight but kept up a strong gallop to finish 2nd in a photo finish.
Race 8	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS WANGANUI C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	ZIPPING JOCK and MEG'S ME MUM were slow away from the boxes and settled at the rear. CAWBOURNE ESKI was checked and fell heavily going into the back straight but he regained his feet and finished onto the lure and was referred to the Vet for assessment. The winner HAWKESBURY FEVER appeared to be tender behind following the race and was also referred to the Vet for assessment but quickly recovered from cramp. CAWBOURNE ESKI was found to have quadricep and triangle muscle pain.
Race 9	Racing Series Sprint Final - NZRSf - 305	FREEDOM FLYER shifted in from the start and caused checks to MADE TIME, AL'S GIRL and SEDGEBROOK MAGIC which were all unbalanced losing ground. FREEDOM FLYER again shifted ground going into the bend and this resulted in checks to MADE TIME and SEDGEBROOK MAGIC and they never recovered and finished in the last two places.
Race 10	WANGANUI TOYOTA C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	DOCKER and MISS ELDORA both shifted ground and bumped together soon after jumping from the boxes and they were unbalanced and settled back.
Race 11	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	ONE BROKE GIRL shifted in from the start and caused crowding to several runners drawn closer to the rail and the most affected were CAWBOURNE LOCH, SHELLY MCBELL and HOMEBUSH ZANE and CAWBOURNE LOCH and SHELLY MCBELL went back to the rear.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	UNO BRENT and CAWBOURNE ELPASO were slow to begin losing three lengths. HIGH PERCENTAGE bumped ALLEGRO BOOM on the home turn and in turn CAWBOURNE ELPASO on the outside was also bumped and unbalanced briefly. CAWBOURNE ELPASO then moved up to challenge HIGH PERCENTAGE for the lead but was checked from behind by UNO BRENT and again unbalanced losing ground and finished in 2nd place.
