Track: Good The track was presented in good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly apart from the lure problem post the finish line in race 6. The lure was thoroughly tested following the incident and while the cause was not identified, there were no further problems during the remaining races.

Race 1	Formpro Ratings Free Every Monday C0 - C0 - 375	WRONG NUMBER jumped well from the boxes to share the lead early but then drifted back through the field and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment. WRONG NUMBER was found to have a pectoral muscle injury and is required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 80.1 before next racing.
Race 2	Personal Protective Services C0 - C0 - 375	TAMMY'S FIRE began awkwardly losing three lengths and she stayed back throughout the race. ALLEGRO POWER shifted out slightly on the bend and bumped RIB JACK HARRY which was forced wide over extra ground. STAY GROOVY also raced wide on the bend and into the home straight. RIB JACK HARRY was referred to the Vet at the Trainers request and found to have a sartorius muscle injury.
Race 3	wheeldeal.co.nz C1 - C1 - 375	OPAWA SPICE shifted in from the start and crowded SAMMY BAXTER which lost ground and settled back. GOODTIME LADY was also crowded going to the first corner and dropped back onto SAMMY BAXTER. A short distance further on, GOODTIME LADY checked over the heels of ALAMEIN DUKE and shifted out to race very wide over extra ground. SAMMY BAXTER recovered from the earlier checks and after securing an inside run, she made up ground for 4th placing. HOMEBUSH MESSI was referred to the Vet at the Handlers request and found to have carpus pain.
Race 4	Outback Trading Company C1 - C1 - 375	RALLY SARIOUS was slow to begin losing two lengths. SCOOTER'S ROSE shifted out and MIDNIGHT MAGIC shifted in from the start and this resulted in CLEARLY MAGIC and BELFAST BARRY being checked and losing ground. BELFAST BARRY galloped on the back of MIDNIGHT ACTION on the bend and they lost ground and finished at the rear.
Race 5	No Moore Hassell Pet Foods C1 - C1 - 457	MINIMAL began awkwardly going up with the box lids and he lost four lengths. OPAWA SHILOH became awkwardly positioned in restricted room between runners going to the bend and was shuffled back to near the rear and she never recovered the lost ground.
Race 6	totalbodyshop.co.nz C2 - C2 - 375	CAWBOURNE GEORGE was slow away from the boxes losing two lengths. ENHANCER, MANU RAMA, MEAT DAMON, CAWBOURNE GEORGE and IVANHOV were all checked during severe crowding going into the bend and they lost several lengths. The lure pulled up very quickly after the finish line due to a fault but the Stewards were satisfied that this event had not in any way compromised the finishing order and the payment of dividends was authorised.
Race 7	Cawbourne Racing Kennels C2/3 - C2/3 - 375	All clear.
Race 8	Fahey Greyhounds C0d - C0d - 660	All clear.
Race 9	Lisa and Brendon Cole C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	SPIRIT RUN was handy to the lead on the bend but was checked losing four lengths. She then recovered well to make up ground and finished in 4th place. SHERLOCK IZMIR shifted in entering the home straight and checked SPRING GAMBO which lost momentum and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 10	Preston's Master Butchers C2 - C2 - 457	ARCANE RAMPAGE and CAWBOURNE SPREE bumped together when the start was made and they became unbalanced losing ground and settled at the rear where they stayed throughout the race.
Race 11	Red Snapper Seafoods Christchurch C3/4 - C3/4 - 457	KNUCKLE BUMP began a little awkwardly losing a length. SMASH ALLEGRO shifted in going to the first turn and hampered SCODELARIO which was unbalanced and went back onto BRALYN CHARLIE and they lost three lengths.
Race 12	Paul Claridge Electrical NI Challenge Stakes Final - C5f - 457	TIMMY TRUMPET was the slowest to begin losing a length. ANGVELLA began to drift in the run to the first corner and eventually finished a distance behind the field in last place and was referred to the Vet for assessment. ANGVELLA was found to have a gracilis muscle injury. DIRK THE JERK, VEGAS DANNY and TIMMY TRUMPET jostled together going into the bend when racing near the front and they were unbalanced losing three lengths.
