Judicial report: Handler M.Black was issued with a warning after being late to retrieve a runner to prepare for race one. NEISY'S BABE was stood down for 28 days for a breach of Rule 79.1 b ( Failing to pursue the lure throughout in race 5 ) and is required to complete a satisfactory trial ( Rule 80.1 ) before next starting.

Race 1 | ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 Ht1 - C0q - 305 Heat 1 | CLOUD CHASER was the slowest to begin and she settled back and stayed there throughout. CHIP OFF BLOCK and APATCHE AJAY collided when the start was made and they lost ground and settled at the rear. They collided again going into the bend and lost further ground and finished in the rear group. CLOUD CHASER and CHIP OFF BLOCK bumped together and lost ground on the home turn. |
Race 2 | WANGANUI CHRONICLE C0 Ht2 - C0q - 305 Heat 2 | SILENT PARTNER shifted out soon after the start and forced BEN NEVIS KNIGHT onto BOTANY GOLD and all three were checked and lost ground with BEN NEVIS KNIGHT the most affected and he was turned sideways losing four lengths. HOMEBUSH SCRIBE shifted in going into the bend and checked DRIFTING ALONG which shifted out over heels, collided with ALQUEZAR and was checked and fell. DRIFTING ALONG completed the race a long last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a hock injury. |
Race 3 | LASER PLUMBING C0 Ht3 - C0q - 305 Heat 3 | ALLEGRO POWER hampered EBONY HAZE when the start was made and EBONY HAZE lost ground, settled back and stayed there throughout. CAWBOURNE JARROD shifted out at the start and bumped HOMEBUSH FREDA which also settled back and stayed there to finish in last place. IDOL MARK received an interrupted run in the early stages and he settled back and finished in 6th place |
Race 4 | ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C0 Ht4 - C0q - 305 Heat 4 | SPRING SAM was the slowest to begin and settled back. He then galloped on the heels of POLLY CRACKER on the bend and they went back and CAWBOURNE JAZZY was checked when unable to avoid them and also lost ground. |
Race 5 | LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C0 - C0 - 520 | GUNNAR BLUEBLOOD was slow to begin losing two lengths but made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. WRONG NUMBER and SHE'S MUSTARD were checked back to the rear going into the first corner and WRONG NUMBER then drifted and tailed the field to finish several lengths last. NEISY'S BABE shifted out and attempted to fight with WORLD FREAKSHOW on the bend and she was referred to the vet for assessment, cleared of injury and was stood down for 28 days under Rule 79.1 b and is required to complete a satisfactory trial. WRONG NUMBER was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury and Trainer T.McCracken was advised that the Stewards would expect a much improved effort at the bitches next start. |
Race 6 | KEENAN CONCRETE C1 - C1 - 305 | BELFAST BARRY and ZIPPORA BLAZE were the slowest away from the boxes and they stayed back throughout the race. CHIEF BAXTER was tightened adjacent to the rail going into the bend and had to steady when BUSTER BOY shifted in across his line of running and he went back to near the rear and never recovered. |
Race 7 | AON CPF C1 - C1 - 520 | CONSUMATE EASE was slow to begin and lost two lengths. PREOCCUPIED shifted in from the start and checked CAWBOURNE FOXY and ALLEGRO BEAU which both lost ground and went back to the rear where they stayed throughout. PREOCCUPIED was also affected in the bumping and stayed back. |
Race 8 | THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305 | ANOTHER RELM, GULLY CRUSHER and ELECTRIC DANDY were slow to begin and they stayed back throughout to finish in the last three places. ANOTHER RELM and ELECTRIC DANDY bumped together going into the bend and they were both unbalanced. |
Race 9 | PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 305 | VEE VEERY LOVELY began very awkwardly losing several lengths and all chance. MAGIC DANDY ran very wide covering extra ground on the bend and into the home straight and finished in last place. |
Race 10 | FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 520 | HOMEBUSH FLAME and MOLLY O'SHEA bumped together soon after the start and settled back. The bumped together again going into the first bend and were briefly unbalanced losing further ground. MOLLY O'SHEA recovered well to finish in 3rd place but HOMEBUSH FLAME stayed back to finish in 7th place. TRENDY MIND was checked and forced wide on the first bend and she also stayed back to finish in the rear group. |
Race 11 | WANGANUI TOYOTA C1 - C1 - 305 | HOMEBUSH TIARE had to steady going into the bend when a gap ahead closed as outside runners shifted in towards the rail. Going into the bend, UNO MARGUERITE galloped into the back of CAWBOURNE KIWI turning that runner out and this resulted in checks to those mentioned runners and also ALLEGRO ALL GO and MINIMAL and they all lost several lengths and all chance. |
Race 12 | BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 - C1 - 520 | CANDID ANGEL jumped in the air as the box lids opened and she lost ground, settled at the rear and stayed there throughout the race. OPAWA SHILOH, WORBOYS and PRIVATE ACTION bumped together a short distance after the start and they lost ground. PRIVATE ACTION and OPAWA SHILOH recovered well to make up ground and finished in 2nd and 3rd places. |
Race 13 | J P PRINT PETONE C1 - C1 - 305 | AZURE DREAMS shifted in abruptly from box 8 at the start and caused crowding and checks to every other runner with MISS HOOK falling, CAWBOURNE BRAE being badly unbalanced and making firm contact with the rail and HU XIAN being badly checked and settling back. HU XIAN recovered well to finish in 2nd place. CAWBOURNE BRAE and MISS HOOK were referred to the Vet for assessment with CAWBOURNE BRAE found to have a left fore toe injury and MISS HOOK suffered a foot laceration |
Race 14 | MAX REFRIDGERATION C1 - C1 - 305 | TERRA TRIP and RALLY SARIOUS began awkwardly losing two lengths. RALLY SARIOUS secured an inside run and finished well for 3rd place but TERRA TRIP stayed back throughout and finished in last place. |
Race 15 | METEOR OPD C1 - C1 - 305 | EXACT MASTER began very awkwardly losing four lengths and he tailed the field throughout. KAYLAH BLUEBLOOD shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to PRINCESS NOVAK and NOT LISTENING and they lost ground and stayed back to finish near the rear. |
