Judicial report: 1) SUPPLEMENTARY FROM CHRISTCHURCH GRC 5 MAY: At a Judicial Hearing on 8 May, Handler S Evans was fined $100 after admitting a breach of Rule 87.1.o. in that he was negligent in placing ULTRA ACTION in the wrong box at the start. 2) SUPPLEMENTARY FROM CHRISTCHURCH GRC 6 MAY: Starter J Smith admitted a breach of Rule 87.1.o. in that he was negligent when failing to switch the starting boxes to "automatic" mode prior to Race 12 thus causing a false start. This matter will be heard by the JCA on Saturday 14 May.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C1 - 295	JINJA WILLY (1), HELL'S A COMING (2) and HOLLY BLUE BLOOD (4) were all slow to jump. Into the bend HELL'S A COMING ran outwards colliding with ONLY GOT TIME (8) and falling with ONLY GOT TIME being badly checked and losing its chance. SKILLZ TAYLOR (9/7) was also checked in this incident. HELL'S A COMING recovered its paws and ran to the lure with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment where it was cleared of injury.
Race 2	Mac Developments Dash - C1 - 295	BURSAR (7) received a slight check when crossing to the lead in the back straight. SHAKAYLA ROSE (10/3) angled outwards into the bend causing tightening to VERBATIM (4). COSMIC CHELSEA (2) then came together with PAGINI (1) and shifted outwards checking SHAKAYLA ROSE and PRIVATE AGENDA (5) with PEYTON SAWYER (6) forced wide as a result. VERBATIM and PRIVATE AGENDA jostled for a few strides on the home turn. SHAKAYLA ROSE ran wide on the home turn pushing PEYTON SAWYER wider on the track.
Race 3	Fast Archer At Stud Sprint - C1 - 295	OUR JOHN (1) and SPARKLING TERRA (3) were the slowest to jump. COLERIDGE JIM (4) and LUCAS SCOTT (6) bumped together for a stride in the early stages. LUCAS SCOTT and OUR JOHN both raced wide around the home turn.
Race 4	Carol's T.A.B. Clendon Inn Stakes - C1 - 520	OPAWA FAITH (3), OAK SPUR (6) and OPAWA JAY JAY (8) were the last trio from the traps. JEWEL EAGLE (1) shifted outwards off heels into the first bend with OPAWA FAITH and CAWBOURNE KENNY (7) forced wide in consequence.
Race 5	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Dash - C1 - 295	GO MCINDOE (2) was last on settling. HIGH ON VEE (5) was tightened in the back straight and lost ground. HAT TRICK CHAOS (3) angled outwards into the bend checking BELLWAVE (4) with TEPIRITA HENDRIX (6) also inconvenienced. GO MCINDOE checked wide off heels on the home turn and collided with BELLWAVE. A post race veterinary check of BELLWAVE revealed a laceration to the top of a toe with a suture inserted.
Race 6	DogZone Stakes - C1 - 520	RICH ACTION (9/2) was last to jump. OPAWA ROB (1) angled outwards into the first bend tightening OPAWA GAIL (3) with RICH ACTION losing momentum in behind this pair. SPARE ACTION (6), HOMEBUSH BUCK (7) and RICH ACTION all raced wide in the back straight.
Race 7	Happy Birthday Malcolm Grant Sprint - C1 - 295	KNOCKA FEW BACK (6) was tightened in the early stages and lost ground. HOMEBUSH BRUNO (5) ran inwards into the bend causing a check to CUPCAKE (4) which lost ground and was badly unbalanced running outwards and checking KNOCKA FEW BACK. CUPCAKE and HOMEBUSH BRUNO were both checked and cleared by the vet post race.
Race 8	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295	TRUE TO LIFE (3) was a late scratching at kenneling when found to be in season. JINNO GINO (8) was last to jump. HAYLEY JAMES (2) was dragged down for a stride into the bend losing momentum and running wide with this dog then being galloped on from behind by TIP THE BABE (7). HAYLEY JAMES lost its footing and was declared a faller in this incident. HAYLEY JAMES finished a distant last and was referred to the vet for assessment where no injury was detected. As a result of this incident RIO ACTION lost momentum and TIP THE BABE was badly checked with this pair also checked and cleared by the vet post race. On the home turn RIO ACTION ran outwards and collided with ANOTHER SPIN (6) with this pair losing ground. Stewards reviewed the head on replay which showed that RIO ACTION was turned sideways in this incident which caused its head to turn outwards with no further action required.
Race 9	Happy Birthday Gail McInerney Dash - C1 - 295	JOHNNYBRUCE (6) was last to jump. FANCY NOMIKAI (2) ran inwards in the back straight checking ODIN SLAYER (1) with this pair losing ground. JOHNNY BRUCE, BIGTIME TIP (7) and TAYLA'S FRIEND (8) were all inconvenienced in this incident. ODIN SLAYER ran outwards on the home turn checking BIGTIME TIP and TAYLA'S FRIEND.
Race 10	Barron's Supplies Stakes - C1 - 520	GOLDSTAR DALLAS (5) was last to jump and then tightened between runners in the early stages. OPAWA PAUL (6) was dragged down on two occasions in the run to the first bend and dropped to the rear with GOLDSTAR DALLAS being pushed down the track in consequence. OPAWA PAUL was checked by the vet post race and found to have hip soreness. PLUTONIUM (7) angled inwards into the first bend checking OPAWA BUCKS (4) which then raced wide around that bend. PLUTONIUM checked outwards off heels on the home turn. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner ARCANE SABRE (8), Trainer J Tanner cited a recent downgrade as a factor and added that the dog had been working extra well and had no luck at its last start.
Race 11	Dave Robbie Photography Sprint - C1 - 295	IDOL GEORGIE (1) was a late scratching at kenneling when found to be in season. GOD PARTICLE (5) proved very difficult to box in this event and will be boxed first in future. JINJA BRIAN (7) and MOBILIZE (8) were slow to jump. BOTANY ALAN (6) ran inwards in the back straight pushing PEP'S TERRA (4) down the track. BOTANY ALAN lost ground when being dragged down into the bend and badly checked TIME SLAYER (2) with this pair dropping to the rear and JINJA BRIAN being forced wide.
Race 12	Protexin Dash - C1 - 295	OHOKA FAITH (3) was a shade slow to jump. Wider out STEEL THE GOLD (6), MARY BLUE BLOOD (7) and OAKS HILL (8) all came together losing ground. MAX BRAINSTRAIN (5) ran outwards into the bend pushing OAKS HILL wider on the track. MAX BRAINSTRAIN and MARY BLUE BLOOD raced wide around the home turn. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner EXTRA CREDIT (4), Trainer B Dann explained that the dog had not been jumping in its last few starts and some weight had been put back on before today's run which was the first since a brief spell.
