Weather: Raining
Track: Good The track was presented with a soft description early in the day but improved to good soon after racing commenced in showery weather. However intermittent heavy rain fell during the remainder of the programme but the track remained in good order and was at all times safe for racing.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: SPRINGVALE HARRY and FUNKY TOWN both completed Satisfactory Trials and are cleared to race. FANGIRL completed a Satisfactory Trial wearing blinkers and is now clear to race wearing that item of gear.

Race 1	Formpro Ratings Free Every Monday C0 - C0 - 375	BILLY MARLOW and MATTIE BLUEBLOOD bumped together when the start was made and were briefly unbalanced. CHARRINA HILL was tightened between runners going into the bend and was checked back to the rear and and finished in last place.
Race 2	Greyhounds As Pets C1 - C1 - 375	VIVA LA VIXEN shifted out soon after the start and hampered RAINCHECK which lost ground and dropped back to the rear where he stayed until the finish. The favourite KIRKHAM WEBBY drew wide at box 7 and covered extra ground during the running but finished well for 2nd placing. Another well supported runner VIVA LA VIXEN also covered extra ground but stayed back to finish in 7th place. PANDA RING was referred to the Vet at the Trainers request and found to have a quadricep injury.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 375	PREMIER PRINCE and OPAWA MESSINI bumped together when the start was made and they lost ground and settled back. The favourite KIRKHAM COBY was awkwardly positioned in restricted room between runners going into the bend and eventually checked losing two lengths.
Race 4	Buck Fever At Stud C4 - C4 - 375	DR.BRM checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE STEVE soon after the start and lost momentum for a short distance. NERO shifted in going to the bend and checked WHEELIE RASCAL and LAGOON MAC which both lost several lengths and all chance and they never recovered.
Race 5	Personal Protective Services R/A - R/A - 457	All clear.
Race 6	Shakey Jakey At Rocky Ridge C2 Heat 1 - C2q - 375 Heat 1	ANOTHER MISS began awkwardly but recovered quickly without losing too much ground. ANOTHER MISS then shifted in across the line of HOMEBUSH JUSTINE going into the bend which resulted in that runner being checked and losing ground and she stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 7	The Wright Decorators C2 Heat 2 - C2q - 375 Heat 2	MANGAMAHU JACK was slow to begin losing three lengths and he then covered extra ground when racing wide on the bend. CAWBOURNE WEB, ROBINS ZARR HOOD and HOMEBUSH LUCIFER came together and bumped on the home turn and they were all unbalanced for a short distance.
Race 8	Manawatu Harness Racing C2 Heat 3 - C2q - 375 Heat 3	The field raced in very tight formation going into the bend and PISTOLS PRINCESS was checked from behind and shifted out to race very wide into the home straight and she finished in last place.
Race 9	Outback Trading Comapny C1 - C1 - 375	REPEAT VISIT began awkwardly when he went up in the air as the lids opened and he lost three lengths.
Race 10	Plasterboard Silver Collar Heats 5th June C3 - C3 - 375	CAWBOURNE MEZZA shifted out going into the bend and forced CAWBOURNE LOCH, SHINZIGZAG and WHEELIE GOOD wide over extra ground.
Race 11	Preston's Master Butchers C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	PUKEWHAI MAGIC and RED EXPRESS bumped together going into the first corner and they were both unbalanced briefly and lost momentum. A short distance further on, PUKEWHAI MAGIC and CHARLIE BO BO bumped and PUKEWHAI MAGIC was unbalanced losing four lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. PUKEWHAI MAGIC was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and found to have supraspinatis muscle pain.
