Track: Good The track was presented in good order and was maintained to a high standard throughout the evening.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: WALL AGE was a Club scratching when it was found that the dog was not eligible to run due to an oversight which occurred during field selection. BRITNEY STAR was a pre race swab in race 11 but when packaging the swabs at the end of the meeting, it was discovered that there had been a mistake with the numbering of the swab bottles and subsequently the details on the card, it was the Stewards decision to discard that swab.

Race 1 ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305 PACIFIC VIBE and PIXIE DUST jostled together for some distance going to the first corner and they lost ground and settled back where they stayed throughout the remainder of the race. OPAWA TOMMO checked over the heels of ANOTHER COVER as that runner shifted in going into the bend and OPAWA TOMMO was hampered and shifted out to race a little wide on the bend. OPAWA TOMMO was referred to the Vet at the Trainers request and found to have thigh muscle pain.
Race 2 DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C1 Final - C1f - 520 MARIAH and CANDID ANGEL were slow to begin and they settled back where they stayed throughout. ANOTHER HABIT was awkwardly positioned against the rail on the first bend and was shuffled back to last but once out in clear running, he made up ground well for 4th place.
Race 3 LASER PLUMBING WANGANUI C2 FINAL - C2f - 305 Two of the favourites, ROBINS ZARR HOOD and UNO NIGEL were slow to begin losing three lengths but made up some ground to finish in 4th and 5th places. IVANHOV was also slow away and he stayed well back throughout.
Race 4 WANGANUI CHRONICLE C5 - C5 - 305 SPRING GAMBO was the slowest away from the boxes and he lost two lengths. EXPONENTIAL LILY shifted in going to the first turn and caused crowding and jostling to ONE BROKE GIRL, ANGIE ZARR and INCREASING and they were unbalanced and went back to the rear. SPRING GAMBO and ANGIE ZARR bumped together when near the rear of the field on the home turn and they lost momentum briefly.
Race 5 LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C5 - C5 - 305 NERO was the slowest to begin and settled back. He was then hampered going into the bend when checking over the heels of LONE STAR LAD and shifted out making contact with ALLEGRO TOUCH. NERO never recovered and finished in last place. VITO BAXTER, LONE STAR LAD and ALLEGRO TOUCH jostled together and were briefly unbalanced a short distance after the start.
Race 6 FIRST SECURITY C2 - C2 - 520 ALAMEIN JUDE was checked soon after the start and she lost three lengths and went back to the rear. NITRO MARY shifted in going into the first corner and tightened KIRKHAM HARVEY and SWIFTLY CHLOE and they went back to the rear and they never recovered the lost ground and finished in the last two places.
Race 7 ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS WANGANUI C3 - C3 - 305 BIGTIME REDFOO shifted out from the start and HOMEBUSH ZANE shifted in and this resulted in jostling to CRANKY PANTS, NGAURUHOE and BRILLIANT ASHLEE which were drawn in between and they lost momentum as a result. WHEELIE GOOD, BRILLIANT ASHLEE and HOMEBUSH BAXTER bumped together going into the bend and were all briefly unbalanced. SUPERLINER appeared awkward in his galloping action and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have wrist pain.
Race 8 THE ROCK 95.2FM C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 CAWBOURNE LOCH, RED EXPRESS and OPAWA EXTREME settled back from the start and they were awkwardly positioned in restricted room going to the first corner and lost momentum for several strides. They were not able to make up the lost ground and finished in the rear group.
Race 9 PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C3 - C3 - 305 BOTANY WIN began awkwardly losing ground and he settled back and stayed back throughout the race.
Race 10 WANGANUI TOYOTA C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 CAWBOURNE BRICK shifted in abruptly from the start and crowded SEDGEBROOK MAGIC, BOSTON HEART and MAKING TIME and they were eventually checked and settled at the rear where they stayed throughout to finish in the last three places. CAWBOURNE BRICK was also unbalanced losing ground in the incident and he finished just ahead in 5th place.
Race 11 AON CPF C3/4 - C3/4 - 305 PINK SHELLAC slipped when jumping from the boxes and lost several lengths and was unable to make up the lost ground. HANIFY ACE was also slow to begin and he stayed back throughout the race.
Race 12 BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3/4 - C3/4 - 305 THUNDERATION shifted in from the start and bumped SPIRIT RUN which was unbalanced briefly and lost ground. SPIRIT RUN shifted out going into the bend and hampered HOMEBUSH CHAOS which was pushed wide and checked loing ground and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
