IDOL MARK recovered the best of the three and he finished in 4th place. WRONG NUMBER raced wide over extra ground throughout and finished in last place. |
| Race 2 | WANGANUI CHRONICLE C0 - C0 - 305 | STAY GROOVY was slow to begin and settled back. MISS MUFFET and STAY GROOVY raced wide on the bend covering extra ground and finished towards the rear. TRENDY BLASTER, STOLE ME WALLET, WINEVARA and MATTIE BLUEBLOOD jostled together for a short distance soon after the start and they settled back. |
| Race 3 | LASER PLUMBING C1 - C1 - 305 | OUR SWIFT BUDDY began awkwardly losing ground and settled at the rear. EXACT MASTER shifted in going to the first corner and bumped with OUR SWIFT BUDDY and they both lost ground with OUR SWIFT BUDDY the most affected. KAY MARTING, OUR SWIFT BUDDY and LURE ME IN bumped together on the home turn, were all unbalanced losing ground and finished in the rear group. |
| Race 4 | ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 305 | MINIMAL was slow to begin losing three lengths but made up ground to finish in 4th place. Three of the better supported runners LOLA BAXTER, SHEIKA SPRITE and EMBRACE ME were checked going into the bend and they lost ground and stayed back to finish in the last three places. CONSUMATE EASE was also affected in the bumping and finished just ahead of the other three. |
| Race 5 | LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C0 FINAL - C0f - 520 | ALLEGRO BEAU and IZZY BOWEN were slow away from the boxes and settled back. A short distance after the start, WALNUT shifted in and bumped WORLD FREAKSHOW and they were both unbalanced. Going into the first bend, WORLD FREAKSHOW shifted out forcing WALNUT and ALLEGRO BEAU very wide into the bend over extra ground and they never recovered and stayed back for the remainder of the race. |
| Race 6 | KEENAN CONCRETE C1 - C1 - 305 | MEAT DAMON, GULLY YAPPA and MARLOW MARINA dwelt when the start was made and they settled back. MEAT DAMON recovered the best of the three and made up ground to finish in 3rd place. KYLA ROSE was handy enough going into the bend but was hampered when OPAWA TOMMO shifted out and she went back several places and never recovered the lost ground. |
| Race 7 | AON CPF C1 - C1 - 520 | BITTA LEG and ZIMMER FRAME were slow away from the boxes and settled back. ZIMMER FRAME made up ground throughout the race and finished in 3rd place. ALLEGRO BEATY shifted in from the start and checked LEKTRA SPIDER which lost three lengths. BITTA LEG was hampered going to the first corner and then raced wide on the first bend and eventually finished several lengths last. BITTA LEG appeared uncomfortable in her galloping action and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have metacarpal pain. |
| Race 8 | THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305 | TERRA TRIP and OPAWA PERISSA were awkwardly placed in restricted room soon after the start and lost ground. STAINLESS KNOCKA shifted out over the heels of VEE VEERY GOOD on the bend and hampered NO MORE MARMITE briefly. TERRA TRIP shifted out abruptly on the bend and raced very wide into the home straight. |
| Race 9 | PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 520 | OPAWA SPICE shifted out from the start and bumped with BUSINESS REVIEW which was checked and settled back. ALAMEIN JAH was checked when racing at the rear going into the first bend and he lost three lengths and stayed back throughout. ALAMEIN JAH suffered an injury going to the lure at the conclusion and was referred to the Vet for assessment and a hock injury was confirmed. |
| Race 10 | FIRST SECURITY C1 - C1 - 305 | HOMEBUSH FINE shifted in from the start and hampered KAPAI LANA, TANK'S ROB and DARK WITCH and they settled at the rear. KAPAI LANA recovered the best of the affected dogs and she finished in 4th place. |
| Race 11 | WANGANUI TOYOTA C1 - C1 - 520 | ALAMEIN JUDE shifted in going to the first corner and checked SHERIFF ROSCOE which lost ground and tailed the field until nearing the finish. CAWBOURNE PEEJAY led or shared the lead until entering the home straight but then faded quickly to finish 5th and went to the lure several lengths behind the other runners. All CAWBOURNE PEEJAY'S starts have been over sprint distances but he was referred to the Vet for assessment as a precaution and found to have deltoid pain. |
| Race 12 | BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 - C1 - 305 | MALIGNED and GULLY RUNNER were slow to begin losing three lengths. MALIGNED made up ground well to finish in 3rd place but GULLY RUNNER stayed out wide through the early and middle stages and finished in last place. |
| Race 13 | J P PRINT PETONE C1 - C1 - 305 | BOSTON THUNDER was very slow away from the boxes losing four lengths and he stayed back throughout. PEDRO'S CARAT was awkwardly placed in restricted room between SO UNBELIEVABLE and CAWBOURNE ELPASO going into the bend and she was checked losing three lengths. PEDRO'S CARAT was referred to the Vet after suffering a webbing laceration. |
| Race 14 | MAX REFRIDGERATION C1 - C1 - 305 | ALAMEIN DUKE and GUMMY GUMPSTA were slow to begin losing two lengths. ALAMEIN DUKE made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. UNO MARGUERITE and GUMMY GUMPSTA raced wide on the bend covering extra ground. ANNIE WAY was checked going into the bend and was unbalanced and almost fell and she stayed back at the rear for the remainder of the race. |
