Track: Good The track was power harrowed on 27-4-2016 and was presented in a very good racing order being well groomed and watered through out the programme. All other equipment operated well .

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C2 - C2 - 305	ROSEI FOSI racing near the lead in to the first bend was checked as SERVE YA PURPOSE improved on her outer angling across . ROSIE FOSI checked off the hind of SERVE YA PURPOSE, ROSIE FOSI ran wide on to and across the top bend covering extra ground finishing several lengths in the rear at the line.
Race 2	Wanganui Toyota C2 - C2 - 305	Racing from the boxes CAWBOURNE NEVADA ( fav ) from box 1 ran outwards sharply coming together with TO THE BANK bumping this runner sideways for a stride or so. JOEY BAXTER caught the hind of CAWBOURNE NEVADA who stumbled slightly for a stride going back on to GULLY CRUSHER as this runners angled inwards improving his position , GULLY CRUSHER was pushed in on to JOEY BAXTER turning this runner sideways and losing momentum back towards the rear. CAWBOURNE NEVADA after causing interference early in the race settled back past midfield and only battled there after finishing in to 5th placing at the line. HOMEBUSH LUCIFER after being slow away was held up behind runners racing in to the first turn and was unable to improve there after.
Race 3	LASER PLUMBING WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305	CAWBOURNE GEORGE box 3 was slowest away. In the run to the first bend LOLA BAXTER angled across on to PIXIE DUST pushing this runner in on to the hind of THUNDERATION, in behind SNOW BALL CHANCE from box 1 angled outwards bumping in to ASA CASH QUEEN ( fav ) , SNOW BALL CHANCE went back a length and was forced to check off the heels of ASA CASH QUEEN. Racing across the top bend LOLA BAXTER vying for the lead wide out was tightened going back on to SNOW BALL CHANCE as ASA CASH QUEEN wider out made ground towards the leaders. LOLA BAXTER lost momentum back towards the rear and was unable to get back in to contention there after.
Race 4	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	Racing to the post on the first occasion OPAWA JACKIE racing midfield was bumped as KNUCKLE BUMP improved through on her inner ,OPAWA JACKIE lost a few lengths and was hampered again as CAWBOURNE STEPS on the outer angled in pushing RED EXPRESS ( fav ) back in. CAWBOURNE STEPS ran wide around the bend in to the back straight. Racing in to the back straight RED EXPRESS was checked and ran outwards as KNUCKLE BUMP angled down towards the rail. RED EXPRESS lost a couple of lengths and was back past midfield racing in to the far bend and only battled there after finishing in 6th placing at the line. Racing across the top bend IZZEY BALE was held up for some distance when attempting a rails run inside of RED EXPRESS and KNUCKLE BUMP on his outer. Once able to clear these runners racing in to the home straight IZZY BALE made ground late in to 5th placing at the line.
Race 5	KEENAN CONCRETE C5 - C5 - 305	racing from the boxes CHEAP SHOT MATTY and ALL IN BERLIN came together running in across the face of HARKONEN BALE further in VITO BAXTER and SEDGEBROOK BABE bumped as RITZA ROMAN angled across to the lead. Racing in to the first bend WILD EFFECTIVE ( fav ) ran outwards off heels forcing ALL IN BERLIN and HARKONEN BALE very wide on to the top bend all three runners covered a fair amount of extra ground across the top finishing towards the rear at the line. ANGIE ZARR box 1 was slow away raced in to midfield in to the bend where soon after she was tightened and checked back to the rear and was unable to get in to contention there after.
Race 6	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305	INDEFINATE ORDER and VIVA LA VIXEN were slowest away. In the run to the first bend CAWBOURNE KIWI box 1 attempted to angle outwards coming together with BOX OF FLUFFIES jostling this runner for some strides pushing her out on to NUI MAGIC this was further compounded as SPOT ON MAGGIE box 8 raced up towards the lead angling inwards checking NUI MAGIC and CAWBOURNE KIWI back on to SASHA MCBELL who ran on to and across heels of several runners. INDEFINATE ORDER made ground along the inner across the top bend then ran wide in to the home straight bumping in to CAWBOURNE KIWI pushing this runner across the face of VIVA LA VIXEN hampering these runners for a couple of strides.
Race 7	THE ROCK 95.2FM C3 - C3 - 305	This race was put back 1 minute at the request of Race day Control. Soon after the start ASTERIA bumped in to PACIFIC VIBE who went in on to EMPTY BANK and DEATHSTAR who was bumped sideways . Racing in to the bend EMPTY BANK ran in across the heels of PACIFIC VIBE and BRILLIANT AVA severely checking DEASTHSTR on the inner back to the rear. DEATHSTAR became unbalanced for a couple racing on to the bend and was unable to get in to contention there after. Racing in to the bend NGAURUHOE raced up on the inner of UNO BRENT checking this runner who stumbled going sideways losing momentum and lost ground back to last in the running at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have injuries to the left pectoral & triceps muscles a 10 day stand down was recommended. NORMAN JEWEL last in to the first bend was forced to check over heels running wide as UNO BRENT improved past angling inwards.
Race 8	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C3 - C3 - 305	GRAND ALLEGRO ( fav ) box 6 began awkwardly then bumped with RAPPER DASH both dogs losing momentum being last in to the first bend where RAPPER DASH made contact with the rail as AUTUMN LIGHTS angled back in across her racing line and was checked again as GRAND ALLEGRO angled in making contact with AUTUMN LIGHTS, these three runners lost a fair amount of ground at this point and were unable to improve there after. RAPPER DASH was referred to the vet for assessment where she was found to have an injury to the left lattimus & bruising & abrasion to left elbow a 14 day stand down was recommended.
Race 9	Adept Accountants Wanganui Distance Final - C2df - 755	Racing away from the boxes THRILLING EVIE ran in bumping SHANDELL ( fav ) a couple of strides on THRILLING EVIE cut inwards over the heels of TEEMARIA checking SHANDELL, BIG RED CHEV and HIP HOP SOFIA., SHANDELL stumbled for a stride but quickly recovered to settle towards the rear in to the bend on the first occasion. Racing in to the bend on the first occasion THRILLING EVIE and HIP HOP SOFIA bumped and jostled for a couple of strides resulting in THRILLING EVIE racing wide in to and around the bend in to the home straight on the first occasion. Racing in to the back straight second time around THRILLING EVIE dropped off the field and was observed to be uncomfortable in her galloping action there after finishing a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to have abrasions & bruising to right tendon a 7 day stand down was recommended.
Race 10	FIRST SECURITY C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	Racing in to the bend on the first occasion FEKITOA and GRAND LEGACY were bumped and jostled going wide in to this bend as CAWBOURNE COOKS ( fav ) on their inner pushed his way forward bumping GRAND LEGACY out on to FEKITOA. Racing in to the back straight ABSINTHE MINDED improved in to a gap alongside WINSOME JENNY taking the line of FEKITOA as this runner went to improve resulting in FEKITOA clipping the heels of WINSOME JENNY and falling checking LAGOON MAC who had to change ground outwards sharpl losing momentum and several lengths and was unable to get in to contention there after. FEKITOA was quickly to his paws to finish on to the lure some distance back and was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have bruising over the lower lumbar region a 10 day stand down was recommended.
Race 11	AON CPF C4 - C4 - 305	Racing from the boxes SECOND TIME ran in sharply across the face of MISS ELDORA bumping in to NERO. Racing in to the first bend NERO came out on to MISS ELDORA pushing this runner outwards . On the inner racing in to the first bend CRANKY PANTS ran in to the hind of CAWBOURNE MIDGET, CRANKY PANTS went back on to SECOND TIME who ran in to the hind of HOMEBUSH RAMONA pushing this runner sideways on to the bend with NERO and MISS ELDORA running in to HOMEBUSH RAMONA and running out very wide on to the top bend. NERO, HOMEBUSH RAMONA and MISSS ELDORA had lost all chance at this point. SECOND TIME recovered well racing wide in to the home straight finishing strongly in to 3rd placing at the line but a fair way back from the first two runners to the line.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C4 - C4 - 305	ALLEGRO CHASER ( fav ) box 4 began awkwardly for a stride or so quickly recovered in to stride to vye for the lead in to the first bend along side JINJA COLL who ran outwards in to the bend forcing ALLEGRO CHASER to be the widest runner on to the top bend . racing to the home turn JINJA COLL racing in 4th position changed ground inwards catching the heels of ANOTHER MISS and falling with BIGTIME REIGN galloping over the hind of JINJA COLL but was well back at this point. JIJA MCCOLL was quickly to his paws to finish on to the lure and was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to have pain over left pectoral muscle area a 10 day stand down was recommended.
