Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C1 - 295	ANOTHER ZIRCON (5) was slow in the initial stages. COSMOHOLIC (2) and GO TOMMO (3) were hampered after the start when KABLITZ (4) shifted ground inwards and MAX STIX (1) shifted away from the running line. COSMOHOLIC shifted outwards shortly thereafter and made firm contact with ANOTHER ZIRCON. COSMOHOLIC and KABLITZ jostled rounding the final turn. GO TOMMO was found to have a laceration to a foot when inspected by the vet post race.
Race 2	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Dash - C1 - 295	ANOTHER PEARL (7) was a late scratching when found to have swelling to a hock possibly caused by an insect bite. OHOKA FAITH (6) was slow to begin. GORDONS MY MATE (1) began awkwardly and was slow through the initial stages. GORDONS MY MATE which tailed the field throughout underwent a post race veterinary inspection which revealed no abnormalities. Trainer D BARNES reported that his runner needs to jump on the speed to be competitive. This withstanding Stewards informed Mr Barnes that a better performance would be required from GORDONS MY MATE with a warning being placed on this runner's record.
Race 3	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C1 - 295	Trainer L Waretini was fined $100.00 as per the minor infringement table for presenting SKILLZ TAYLOR 1.6 kg up in weight from its previous start. JINJA WILLY (2) was slow to begin. Shortly after jumping PRIVATE AGENDA (6) was tightened between PAGANI (7) and SKILLZ TAYLOR (5) both of which shifted ground.These runners jostled for a distance. Into the turn ANOTHER VESPA (3) and CRYSTALL MCBELL (1) jostled for some distance with ANOTHER VESPA losing ground when unbalanced. PAGANI made contact with ANOTHER VESPA with both runners losing momentum when JINJA WILLY improved quickly on the inside. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner TERRA ALERT (8), co-trainer S Fagan advised Stewards that today represented a downgrade in class adding that the dog prefers racing when in the clear and today's box draw afforded him that opportunity.
Race 4	DogZone Dash - C1 - 295	Shortly after the start SLEEPER AGENT (1) shifted away from the running line and made firm contact with CAWBOURNE EDEN (4) as a result LUCAS SCOTT (5) was placed in restricted room. The trailing JINNO GINO (3) and VAN GERWIN (6) were checked with UNO JAMES (7) being unbalanced .BOTANY ALAN (8) shifted inwards approaching the turn and made firm contact with SLEEPER AGENT. Rounding the bend PEP'S TERRA (2) checked outwards off the heels of CAWBOURNE EDEN .
Race 5	Robbie's Bar & Bistro Stakes - C1 - 520	JAYBE ALBIE (6) was slow to begin. GOLDSTAR DALLAS (3) and OPAWA TANIA (4) made firm contact after jumping. Shortly after the start CAWBOURNE DALLAS (5) shifted inwards and hampered GOLDSTAR DALLAS and ANOTHER CRUISE (2). CAWBOURNE DALLAS continued on an inward movement and and near the winning post on the first occasion tightened GOLDSTAR DALLAS, OPAWA KENDAL (1) and ANOTHER CRUISE which made contact with the running rail .A post race veterinary inspection of ANOTHER CRUISE revealed no obvious abnormalities .GOLDSTAR DALLAS lost considerable momentum in this incident .Into the back straight JEWEL EAGLE (8) was tightened and had to check off heels when CAWBOURNE DALLAS shifted inwards to the running line.
Race 6	Clarkson Sign Studio Sprint - C1 - 295	GIANCANA (7) was slow to begin. SHAKAYLA ROSE (1) shifted outwards after the start and made firm contact with SALLY (2). Into the turn TIP THE BABE (5) shifted inwards and tightened both SALLY and SHAKAYLA ROSE. SHAKAYLA ROSE gave ground and came back onto DEVILSKIN (4) and KNOW LUCK (8) resulting in these runners being checked and losing all chance.
Race 7	Garrard's Horse & Hound Dash - C1 - 295	EXTRA CREDIT (4) was slow in the initial stages. COSMIC CHELSEA (7) shifted inwards after jumping and made firm contact with EXTRA CREDIT. Shortly thereafter COLERIDGE JIM (3) shifted outwards and made contact with ILABB (8). ILABB then shifted inwards and tightened both COSMIC CHELSEA and EXTRA CREDIT resulting in these runners losing all chance. GOLDSTAR ARCHIE (2) shifted across the heels of COLERIDGE JIM rounding the turn . Into the straight HOLLY BLUE BLOOD (1) and CAWBOURNE TEASH (5) came together and jostled .
Race 8	Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C1 - 295	MOBILIZE (4) was hampered shortly after the start when awkwardly placed on heels. Shortly thereafter BIGTIME TIP (3) shifted outwards and buffeted GOLDSTAR ROXIE (5) onto PETRA HAKA (7).Into the turn ROYAL BASH (2) contacted the heels of EUG THE SCROOGE (9) with both runners losing momentum .Rounding the turn GOLDSTAR ROXIE was placed in restricted room when ROYAL BASH shifted ground outwards. In the straight ROYAL BASH was unbalanced when making contact with GOLDSTAR ROXIE.
Race 9	Fast Archer At Stud Stakes - C1 - 520	OPAWA PAUL (7) was slow in the initial stages. SPARE ACTION (4) and OPAWA GAIL (5) raced in restricted room after the start when LAGOON TWIST (6) and RICH ACTION (9) shifted ground. Into the back straight RICH ACTION checked across the heels of PLUTONIUM (2) running wide forcing SPARE ACTION and OPAWA GAIL very wide on the track. In the shadows of the winning post LAGOON TWIST made firm contact with MAGIC WIZARD (8).
Race 10	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295	OUR JOHN (4) was slow to begin. SPARKLING TERRA (1) and BIG CATCH (6) both began awkwardly and got back. Into the turn VERBATIM (7) shifted inwards and made firm contact with PEYTON SAWYER (2) which was checked and lost all chance. BIG CATCH was unbalanced into the turn when awkwardly placed on the outside of VERBATIM. Rounding the turn OUR JOHN shifted outwards and made contact with VERBATIM which was dictated onto BIG CATCH. CAWBOURNE CRAIG (3) and CATHY MAREE (5) came together and jostled near the winning post.
Race 11	Opawa Bowl & Jack Tavern Stakes - C1 - 520	OPAWA JAY JAY (7) and BIG JOHN CANON (8) were slow through the initial stages. TAMARA MAY (2) became awkwardly placed on the heels of UGO FLASH (3) shortly after the start. Near the winning post on the first occasion OPAWA JAY JAY was buffeted and unbalanced between OPAWA ROB (5) and BIG JOHN CANON. OPAWA JAY JAY shifted wider on the track forcing BIG JOHN CANON over extra ground. TAMARA MAY was inconvenienced rounding the final turn when tight to the inside of CAWBOURNE KENNY (1).
Race 12	Protexin Sprint - C1 - 295	IDOL GEORGE (2) and GOD PARTICLE (8) were slow to begin. Shortly after the start TAYLA'S FRIEND (5) was buffeted between TEPIRITA HENDRIX (6) and CAWBOURNE KIN (4).
