Track: Good The track was presented in a very good racing condition. All other equipment operated well through out.

Judicial report: APOLLO BAXTER race 9 was a late scratching on vet's advice at kennelling.

Race 1 ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305 CHARRINA HILL box 4 was jostled and bumped for several strides between IDOL MARK and DOUBLE ICE and caught heels as she went back. CHARRINA HILL got off balance racing in to the first bend and was uncomfortable in the run there after finishing several lengths in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. Trainer I Cox was shown a replay of the race where the Stewards were concerned with the run in to the home straight where the dog appeared to not make the turn too well, after hearing from I Cox the Stewards have advised that a better performance will be expected in the future. EYES ON KITTY raced widest in to and across the top bend finishing towards the rear at the line. IDOL MARK was referred to the vet after cooling down at the trainers request and was found to have pain in the left hind gluteal muscle a 7 day stand down was recommended.
Race 2 ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS WANGANUI C0 - C0 - 520 From the jump ORANGEY YELLOW box 7 ran inwards as BELFAST BARRY box 6 came off the mats quicker it appeared for a stride that ORANGEY YELLOW may have marred BELFAST BARRY for a stride. The Stewards reviewed the footing and it's clear that as ORANGEY YELLOW ran in he made contact with the neck of BELFAST BARRY unintentionally. Racing in to the bend on the first occasion there was tightening and jostling to WORL FREAKSHOW and SHE'S MUSTARD as BLACK ROADSTAR angled inwards, a couple of strides on BLACK ROADSTAR was checked back as ORANGEY YELLOW and MOLLY O'SHEA made ground on his outer. MOLLY O'SHEA was forced to race widest around the first bend covering a bit of extra, she improved along the back straight finishing in to 3rd placing at the line. ORANGEY YELLOW also was forced wide in to the first bend where he lost ground along the back straight to be a clear last in the running finishing a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 3 LASER PLUMBING WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 520 Racing around the bend on the first occasion BERNIE'S BOY checked outward over the hind of OPAWA JAY ,PACIFIC SUNRISE and CANDY CRUSHER in behind also ran wide to avoid the heels of BERNIE'S BOY.
Race 4 WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 305 CAWBOURNE PEEJAY box 8 began awkwardly going up in the air as he left the boxes . In the run to the first bend SWEET LOVIN' ran out as CAWBOURNE MEZZA ( fav ) angled inwards resulting in TOTES being checked for a stride or so. Racing in to the first bend CAWBOURNE HINT came in on to the shoulder of KALISI as these runners were vying for the lead. SWEET LOVIN handy in to the first bend drifted to the rear in the run across the top bend and was checked racing towards the home straight where she ran inwards making contact with VEE VEERY GOOD, both runners lost momentum finishing in the rear at the line. SWEET LOVIN' was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 5 LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 - C1 - 520 Soon after the start there was tightening and jostling between OPAWA SHILOH, WITCH MISTY and OPAWA SMOKE for a couple of strides. OPAWA SMOKE lost a length back at this point, a couple of strides on OPAWA SMOKE attempted to angle outwards came together with WITCH MISTY checking this runner back PHANTOM WAY and GOODTIME LADY ran wide on to the bend on the first occasion covering a bit of extra ground. Racing along the back straight GOODTIME LADY was kept out wide as OPAWA SMOKE raced through on her inner hampering GOODTIME LADY for some distance.
Race 6 KEENAN CONCRETE C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 Racing around the bend on the first occasion RED EXPRESS ( fav ) was forced to race widest. Racing in to the back straight RED EXPRESS was checked as he caught the heels of OPAWA EXTREME as this runner changed ground outwards forcing RED EXPRESS to make ground on his outer along the back straight. RED EXPRESS made good ground across the top bend wide out finishing well in the run home to finish in to 2nd placing at the line.
Race 7 AON CPF C2 - C2 - 305 All clear
Race 8 PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C3 - C3 - 520 Soon after the start MEG'S ME MUM raced across bumping KNUCKLE BUMP in on to SWIFTLY CHLOE.
Race 9 THE ROCK 95.2FM C3 - C3 - 305 APOLLO BAXTER was a late scratching at kennelling when found to have pain on flexion of off fore wrist a 14 day stand down was recommended. racing away from the boxes BOX OF FLUFFIES raced across on to CHAIMBO bumping this runner in across the face of KENTARO BAXTER and in on to the shoulder of DOWNGRADE KING and in on to VENGA GUAPA. DOWNGRADE KING went back a length or so with CHAIMBO bumping and jostling VEGA GUAPA for some distance. VEGA GUAPA ended up in the rear and ran wide in to and across the top bend finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 10 FIRST SECURITY C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 Racing in to the bend on the first occasion there was tightening and jostling as OUR GYPSY angled in pushing CAWBOURNE CLAY in on to ABSINTHE MINDED checking this runner back. Racing in to the bend on the first occasion ABSINTHE MINDED came out across heels bumping in to CAWBOURNE CLOVER who went out on to OPAWA SHAY and LAGOON MAC pushing these runners wide. CAWBOURNE CLOVER stumbled slightly for a stride at this point. ABSINTHE MINDED after striking trouble in the early stages and was back past midfield in to back straight made good ground towards the end of the back straight finishing strongly in the home to finish in to 2nd placing at the line.
Race 11 DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C4 - C4 - 305 BOHHANON box 2 was away well vying for the lead in to the first bend where DREAMZONE angled inwards on to his shoulder pushing BOHHANON in on to ANOTHER MISS. BOHHANNON was tightened at this point and went back from between runners with INCREASING catching the outer hind of BOHHANNON ,SECOND TIME in behind ran in to the hind of INCREASING running outwards checking OPAWA BLAIR forcing this runner very wide on to the top bend. SECOND TIME and OPAWA BLAIR lost all chance there after finishing amongst the beaten runners at the line. BOHHANNON never recovered after going back finishing towards the rear at the line.
Race 12 BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C5 - C5 - 305 SPEEDY BEAT ( fav ) from box 5 dwelt slightly at the jump and was soon bumped and tightened between CHEAP SHOT MATTY and FREEDOM FLYER. ALL IN BERLIN box 1 angled outwards as WILD EFFECTIVE box 8 raced across resulting in SEDGEBROOK BABE, CHEAP SHOT MATTY, SPEEDY BEAT and FREEDOM FLYER all being severely tightened and checked at this point. SPEEDY BEAT lost ground to the rear and when he attempted to improve his position he was forced to make ground around the outer covering a fair amount of extra ground finishing in 6th placing at the line.
