From the jump GOLDSTAR AVERY (3) was tightened when GOLDSTAR PO (9/4) ran inwards and BOSTON BILLY (2) shifted ground outwards. In the run to the first turn MYSTIC ACTION (7)ran inwards and BOSTON BILLY (2) checked off the heels of KAVA BLU (1) with KNOW MENTION (5), TRUST ISSUES (6) and GOLDSTAR PO all checked. In the back straight BOSTON BILLY (2) appeared to cramp up and then in the home straight the dog shortened stride and fell after the finishing post. A post race veterinary check on BOSTON BILLY showed the greyhound to be dehydrated and cramping up with no injury sustained and no stand down required.
