Track: Good The track was presented in a very good racing condition . All other equipment operated well ( refer judicial for 520 boxes )
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: RAINCHECK ( L Doody stood down 30-3-2016) was represented per rule 81.5 and was found to be clear of injury and is now cleared to race.
EL PASO ( M Roberts ) completed a satisfactory trial in Blinkers and is cleared to race.
LACHIE JEWEL was a fill in for a Satisfactory trial finishing well down the track at the line he was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have a Gracilis muscle injury a 42 day stand down was recommended.
The 520 metre boxes were attended to by the clubs Engineers before todays meeting also the Club Electrician checked all components at 8am this morning with no reported problems in that area.
The boxes were checked by the Club & Stewards Well before kennelling and were found to be working fine
The Club have put a lot of effort in to having the boxes working to a high standard.
During early trials the boxes malfunctioned and will be worked on again before Friday's meeting.
All 520 metre starts today were hand started at the request of the Stewards.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305	Racing away from the start EVE NING HILL ran in sharply forcing TERRA TRIP across on to heels. TERRA TRIP stumbled badly going down on his nose and chest. TERRA TRIP recovered his balance and back in to stride having lost 7 or so lengths. BEE LIKE ME was checked in to the first bend when running on to the hind of BIGTIME RUNNINGS and ran wide losing a fair amount of ground finishing several lengths in the rear at the line. TERRA TRIP was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 2	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C0 - C0 - 305	In the run to the first bend there was jostling and bumping as ALLEGRO BEATY angled across pushing GOLDSTAR LEXIE in on to CULVIE DEN with DARK WITCH in behind catching heels. ALLEGRO BEATY and CULVIE DEN both went sideways and lost momentum for a couple of strides. GOLDSTAR LEXIE and CULVIE DEN bumped and jostled for several more strides going back on to DARK WITCH. GOLDSTAR LEXIE and DARK WITCH went back to the rear at this point and were unable to get back in to contention there after.
Race 3	LASER PLUMBING C1 - C1 - 305	racing in to the first bend ELECTRIC DANDY box 8 angled across the face of PETITE JOY checking this runner in on to HYDE BAXTER and TANK'S ROB pushing this runner in across the face of TAKEAWAY checking this runner back. Racing in to the home straight HYDE BAXTER changed ground inwards bumping TANK' ROB with both runners losing a length or so.
Race 4	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 305	Racing away from the boxes LIZ WATTO box 1 ran out across the face of EXACT MASTER hampering this runner for a stride. Racing in to the first bend LIZ WATTO came out on to GULLY YAPPA pushing this runner out in to the running line of LULU'S FLAME. LULU'S FLAME caught the hind quarters of GULLY YAPPA and was checked out widest on to the bend losing ground back to the rear and was unable to get back in to contention there after.
Race 5	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C1 HEAT1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1	Soon after the start CANDID ANGEL crossed in sharply across the face of CALYPSO STAR ( fav ) KIRKHAM HARVEY and SHERRIF ROSCOE. CALYPSO STAR was checked as THRILLING DYLAN was pushed inwards by RED EXPRESS improving past angling inwards. CALYPSO STAR was again hampered as THRILLING DYLAN went back a length catching her heels. Racing in to the bend on the bend on the first occasion CALYPSO STAR was forced to race wide as KIRKHAM HARVEY came back off heels. CALYPSO STAR was forced to race wide along the back straight and in to the bend when attempting to improve but was unable to get in to contention finishing towards the rear at the line.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE C1 HEAT2 - C1q - 520 Heat 2	HOMEBUSH BOUNCE was late scratched at pre race presentation when found to have come in to season. racing in to the bend on the first occasion there was tightening and jostling in the midfield as FREDDY BEDROCK in the lead angled in slightly resulting in CHARLIE BO BO running on to his heels and being checked inwards on to ZAMMADIS LASS and BUSINESS REVIEW on the inner. SCOTT THE BEST in behind these runners ran outwards with THRILLING CASSIE ( fav ) catching his hind quarters and running on to the heels of CHARLIE BO BO. THRILLING CASSIE checked outwards on to SCOTT THE BEST with these two runners racing wide around the bend in to the back straight THRILLING CASSIE made good ground there after to finish in to 3rd placing at the line. FREDDY BEDROCK was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to have pain in the left fan muscle a 5 day stand down was recommended.
Race 7	AON CPF C1 HEAT3 - C1q - 520 Heat 3	Racing around the bend on the first occasion CAWBOURNE SPREE was tightened and checked as ZIMMER FRAME angled in on to her. THRILLING BORIS ( fav ) in behind these runners was hampered for a stride or so . CAWBOURNE STEVE came out off the inner on to ZIMMER FRAME, with CAWBOURNE SPREE going back a length on to the heels of ZIMMER FRAME. THRILLING BORIS was able to gain a clear run along the inner at this point and was never headed there after. RANGERS WALTZ raced handy in to the end of the back straight when he drifted back through the field finishing a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where apart from the dog cramping up no other abnormalities were found The Stewards reviewed the film with Trainer S Maher in regards to the run of RANGERS WALTZ where it appeared that the dog was unable to run the distance. S Maher reported that Rangers Waltz had not race over 520 metres for some time and feels that the dog is not suited racing over a middle distance. S Maher has told the Stewards that RANGERS WALTZ that he will be restricting the dog to racing over sprint distances only in the future.
Race 8	THE ROCK 95.2FM C1 HEAT4 - C1q - 520 Heat 4	Soon after the start PEDRO'S CARAT arced across on to THAT'S KING pushing this runner on to CAWBOURNE BIRD and CAWBOURNE MARCY who was bumped sideways in on to LILY MA'S SMOKING. In the run across the top bend KENNEL BOY attempted to improve along the inner of the CAWBOURNE GABLE, the gap closed and KENNEL BOY was checked going back a couple of lengths then changed ground outwards to challenge the leader but was unable to finish off finishing in to 3rd placing at the line. CAWBOURNE MARCY went back to the rear and was unable to get in to contention there after finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 9	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C1 - C1 - 305	KAPAI LANA ( Fav ) dwelt at the start and ran wide in to the first bend along with STAINLESS KNOCKA . KAPAI LANA ran out wider nearing the home turn covering a fair amount of extra ground finishing in 5th placing at the line. STAINLESS KNOCKA after racing wide in to the bend finished well in to 2nd placing at the line.
Race 10	FIRST SECURITY DISTANCE C1 - C1d - 645	In the run to the home turn on the first occasion YOUR'E SO FREE from box 8 raced through on the inner of BRALYN CHARLIE running outwards taking BRALYN CHARLIE wide in to the home straight. BRALYN CHARLIE lost ground to be last in to the bend out of the home straight and was observed to uncomfortable in his galloping action there after finishing a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to be lame in the left hind and pain over front of hock over 3rd tarsal bone a 10 day stand down was recommended. There was no photo finish available to put on the report for this race.
Race 11	DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C1 - C1 - 305	Racing away from the start BIGTIME CHIP came out on to BUZZY AS pushing this runner out across heels. Soon after in the run to the first turn BIG BEN angled in on to BUZZY AS jostling and pushing this runner inwards resulting in BUZZY AS running out of room and being checked back to the rear and was unable to get back in to contention there after finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C1 - C1 - 305	In the run in to the first bend there was crowding and jostling as several runners attempted to get to the lead, FIVE KAY LEG racing in the centre of the track angled inwards with TRACEY in behind angling in tightening SAMMY BAXTER in to the shoulder of SO UNBELIEVABLE forcing this runner back to the rear. PLAITING PUSS made contact with the rail racing in to the first bend when clear of runners. Racing wider out in to the first bend FIVE KAY LEG was hampered for a stride or so when getting on to the back GOODTIME LADY who was heading to the lead. GOODTIME LADY and FIVE KAY LEG after covering extra ground filled the minor placings at the line. PLAITING PUSS was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
