Track: Good Track was presented in a good racing condition Lure operated well throughout the meeting. 520m boxes malfunctioned race 9 Boxes will be checked Saturday 2-4-16 for any further problems.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: J T McInerney was fined $100-00 ( rule 69.11 ) after CHERIES BOY race 3 was 1.6 kgs down from his last race start on 30-3-2106
There was a false start in race 9 after the lids failed to open as the lure tripped the switch.
The race was run 3 minutes late after the dogs had been re-vetted and all cleared for a restart.
The boxes were checked and operated without any further problems.

Race 1 ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C1 - C1 - 305 DAVEY BOY SCOTT box 2 dipped slightly coming off the mat. Racing in to the first bend there was severe crowding to the inside runners as NUI MAGIC raced to the lead angling in forcing BRILLIANT AVA in on to DAVEY BOY SCOTT and KAY MARTING ( fav ). DAVEY BOY SCOTT was further tightened between BRILLIANT AVA and KAY MARTING. BLAZE'S CORPORAL was forced to race widest on to the top bend when avoiding interference in to the first bend. DAVY BOY SCOTT went back to the rear being jostled as he lost ground back to the rear. KAY MARTING recovered well to get back in a handy position in the running to finish in to 2nd placing at the line. BRILLIANT AVA also lost ground back towards the rear and was unable to improve there after. DAVEY BOY SCOTT finished in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have a broken toe on the near side foreleg a 42 day stand down was recommended.
Race 2 ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C1 - C1 - 305 BIGTIME DASHER box 1 and SO UNBEILIEAVABLE box 8 began awkwardly.. TRACEY box 7 and ELECTRIC DANDY box 3 were slow away. TRACEY and GUMMY GUMSTA bumped and jostled for several strides in the run to the first bend. BIGTIME DASHER ran outwards bumping in to GUMMY GUMPSTA nearing the first bend with both runners then being bumped inwards as TRACEY raced past on their outer angling inwards. Racing to the home turn GUMMY GUMSTA ran out wide forcing BIGTIME DASHER widest in to the home straight.
Race 3 LASER PLUMBING C1 - C1 - 305 LIZ WATTO box 3 dwelt at the start. HOMEBUSH MESSI ( fav ) was checked soon after the start as he went to angle out coming together with WINFIELD AUTUMN and OPEHU FLYER. LIZ WATTO was hampered racing in to the first turn as CHINESE STAR attempted to improve in to the field. CHINESE STAR went back on to CHERIES BOY with these two runners jostling for some distance racing around the bend. CHERIES BOY was checked losing momentum as CHINESE STAR cut down to the rail approaching the home turn. CHERIES BOY was unable to improve there after finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 4 WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 520 Soon after the start there was bumping an jostling as CANDY CRUSHER ran across on to CAWBOURNE SATIN, PEDRO'S CARAT and CAWBOURNE GABLE checking these runners at this point. ALAMEIN JUDE was checked and pushed out wide racing in to the bend on the first occasion as CANDY CRUSHER pushed outwards on his inner.
Race 5 LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305 MANU RAMA began awkwardly from box 8 being last away by approx. 8 lengths The Stewards reviewed the footage of the start and it was clear to see that MANU RAMA had pushed himself hard up against the lids where he was in an awkward position when the lids went up. MANU RAMA made ground throughout to finish in to 6th placing at the line. SMART DANDY was forced to race widest through out covering a fair amount of extra ground in the running finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 6 KEENAN CONCRETE C2 - C2 - 520 Racing to the bend on the first occasion there was bumping and jostling between THRILLING EVIE, HAWKESBURY FEVER, HEAR YOU and PACIFIC SUNRISE. PACIFIC SUNRISE caught the worst of it going sideways and checked back in behind SWIFTLY CHOLE. HOMEBUSH SPOOK in behind was hampered slightly for a stride or so. HOMEBUSH SPOOK was again slightly hampered racing in to the bend on the first occasion as PACIFIC SUNRISE moved outwards. HOMEBUSH SPOOK lost ground during the running there after finishing a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. The Stewards reviewed the running of HOMEBUSH SPOOK with the McInerney kennel rep who advised that the kennels were happy with the dog going in to day's race. HOMEBUSH SPOOK had not raced since the 12-2-2016 but the Stewards opinion is that the dogs performance tonight was well below par . HOMEBUSH SPOOK has been stood down Rule 80.1 to undergo a Satisfactory trial and a Vet check before racing again.
Race 7 AON CPF C2 - C2 - 305 Racing off the mat PIXIE DUST angled across sharply across the face of BELFAST SMARTY, MAGIC DANDY and VENGA GUAPA. BELFAST SMARTY was checked over on to VENGA GUAPA with MAGIC DANDY being checked back. Soon after when back in to stride VENGA GUAPA attempted to angle outwards forcing BELFAST SMARTY out coming together with HOMEBUSH OLIVE. RUA RAMA ( fav ) from box 8 missed the jump and was forced to race wide in to the bend when looking to improve. CAWBOURNE KIWI led across the top bend racing out wide, racing wider in to the home straight finishing close up in 3rd placing at the line. BELFAST SMARTY after striking trouble in the early running raced widest across the top bend in to the home straight covering a lot of extra ground finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 8 PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 Racing in to the bend on the first occasion ALAMEIN BLONDE and BIG RED CHEV came together jostling for a couple of strides with BIG RED CHEV being bumped outwards catching the heels of BIG WONDER for a stride. BIG RED CHEV lost ground and was well back racing in to the back straight where he improved along the inner to make good ground in to 4th placing at the line. ALAMEIN BLONDE finished towards the rear at the line and was referred to the vet at the Trainers request on returning to the wash bay. ALAMEIN BLONDE was found to have pain over the left side gracilis muscle a 14 day stand down was recommended.
Race 9 THE ROCK 95.2FM C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 This race was run approx 3 minutes over time after the boxes failed to open when the lure went past. The dogs were removed from the boxes and checked by the vet with all runners cleared for a restart, The boxes were checked twice before reloading and were found to be operating fine. After reviewing the film of the start the Stewards were able to determine that release clip on the outer of the boxes released with the inner one not releasing. The restart went with out incident Racing to the bend on the first occasion ALLMENDINGER and CAWBOURNE CROUCH bumped and jostled for a couple of strides. Racing around the bend on the first occasion ALLMENDENGER when improving was checked as BOSTON HEART raced past cutting down to the rail .down to the rail. ALLMENDINGER lost momentum at this point and several lengths and attempted to make ground wider out only battled in the latter stages finishing in 6th placing at the line. CAWBOURNE CROUCH after interference in the early stages was unable to get back in to contention finishing in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 10 FIRST SECURITY C3 - C3 - 305 Racing away from the start PACIFIC VIBE, BOX OF FLUFFIES and BRILLIANT ASHLEE came together for a stride or so. PACIFIC VIBE moved in making contact with the hind of HOMEBUSH DODGER as the field raced in to the first bend. PACIFIC VIBE checked losing some momentum running out over the heels of BOX OF FLUFFIES racing wide on to the bend along with ANOTHER CHARM.
Race 11 DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 In the run to the first bend CHEAP SHOT MATTY and BRITNEY STAR bumped and jostled for several strides. Racing in to the first bend BRITNEY STAR bumped CHEAPSHOT MATTY out on to SWEET AS BRO ( fav ) checking this runner as ONE BROKE GIRL box 8 angled across on to WHATU TRENDY who was caught between these runners being tightened and jostled back towards the rear. BRITNEY STAR angled out wide on to the bend forcing ONE BROKE GIRL out wide at this point. SWEET AS BRO, WHATU TRENDY and ONE BROKE GIRL after striking trouble in the early stages were unable to get back in to contention there after filling the last three placings at the line.
Race 12 BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C4 - C4 - 305 Soon after the start HOMEBUSH CHAOS raced across the face of FUNKY FREDDY and tightening in on to ANGIE ZARR bumping this runner in on to CHAIMBO checking VITO BAXTER back across heels. HOMEBUSH CHAOS and ANGIE ZARR bumped again a stride or so on, HOMEBUSH CHAOS became unbalanced for a couple of strides losing some momentum back toward the rear and was unable to get back in to contention. VITO BAXTER was able to cross to the rail and received a clear run along the inner there after to narrowly run down the pace making JINJA COLL on the line. FUNKY FREDDY was forced to race wide in to and around the bend covering extra ground finishing in to 5th placing at the line.
