Judicial report: The connections of WEE PING WAWA, who was scratched from race 7, informed she would now be retired from racing. Race 10 ZIPPING DEE stood down for 3 months and until the completion of a satisfactory trial as required under Rule 79.1b, failing to pursue, 2nd offence. Race 11 was delayed approximately 5 minutes when all greyhounds were required to be removed from the boxes when the lids did not fully release. The veterinarian cleared all greyhounds fit to race and the boxes were tested to satisfaction prior to reloading runners for this event. R12 R ROPER the trainer/handler of MELMAN was stood down by Stewards from his handling duties with investigations to continue.

Race 1	Lochinvar Marlow Sprint - C1 - 318	KNOCKA SLOY (9) was slow away. LOCHINVAR BELLE (5) and JUST ABOUT READY came together at the start with these runners then shifting in coming together with WAIRIO DEE JAY (4) for several strides. Racing down the back straight WAIRIO DEE JAY shifted out inconveniencing LOCHINVAR BELLE who then shifted in making contact with TRINITY FLIGHT (2) who shifted in onto the hindquarters of OPAWA UNO (1). WAIRIO DEE JAY then continued to shift out hampering JUST ABOUT READY who lost ground with WAIRIO DEE JAY then making contact with EKALI (8) with these runners then shifting in. Tightened as a result was JUST ABOUT READY who shifted in making contact with LOCHINVAR BELLE with these runners losing ground. TRINITY FLIGHT then became awkwardly placed on the heels of WAIRIO DEE JAY with these runners losing ground inconveniencing JUST ABOUT READY and KNOCKA SLOY. WAIRIO DEE JAY and KNOCKA SLOY came together rounding the bend and again entering the final straight.
Race 2	www.agrc.co.nz Sprint - C0 - 318	MINUTE SIXTEEN (9) was slow away. TINY GREY (3), WILLI GAS IT (5) and SNIGGLEPUSS (6) came together soon after the start. UNO MARCUS (7) and SCOTT TIED UP (8) came together for a distance racing toward the first turn. Racing down the back straight TINY GREY shifted in hampering GRACE SLICK (2) who lost ground with GRACE SLICK then getting on the heels of TINY GREY for several strides entering the first turn. At the same time SNIGGLEPUSS and MISS SHELLAC (4) came together tightening WILLI GAS IT who was hampered making contact with TINY GREY becoming unbalanced shifting out hampering UNO MARCUS and MINUTE SIXTEEN with these runners all losing ground with UNO MARCUS then making contact with the hindquarters of SCOTT TIED UP who was unbalanced shifting wider.
Race 3	Hewlett Electrical Sprint - C2 - 318	GRADER JACK (3) was slow away. SKYLER WHITE (4) and MISS UNIVERSE (5) came together on several occasions racing down the back straight with MISS UNIVERSE shifting out making contact with ARMISTICE DAY (6) entering the first turn with these runners both becoming unbalanced shifting in making contact with GRADER JACK with MISS UNIVERSE checked losing ground. ARMISTICE DAY then continued to shift in rounding the first turn making contact GRADER JACK.
Race 4	Stitches Upholstery Sprint - C4 - 318	KIT AND CABOODLE (4) and SACRED CAN YOU (5) came together leaving the boxes with SACRED CAN YOU then shifting out onto UMAGA RAMA (6) with these two runners jostling racing down the back straight checking ROCKY BOY (8) entering the first turn. SACRED CAN YOU and UMAGA RAMA then continued to jostle rounding the bend and entering the final straight. Following this event UMAGA RAMA received veterinary treatment for a laceration to the left eye with no stand down required.
Race 5	Greyhounds As Pets Sprint - C1 - 318	SCOTT TO GO (4) began awkwardly losing considerable ground. Rounding the first turn BOTANY HOT SHOT (2) shifted out off the heels of QUEEN STAR (5) making contact with MISS BUNNYTHORPE (7). Rounding the bend SCOTT TO GO shifted out making contact with MISS BUNNYTHORPE. Soon after SCOTT TO GO shifted out off heels inconveniencing MISS BUNNYTHORPE who was taken very wide losing considerable ground.
Race 6	Deli's Sports Bar Clendon Inn Sprint - C1 - 318	MALIGNED (3) and THAT ICE COLD (4) were last to leave the boxes. Racing toward the first turn ROTOVEGAS SPARKY (7) shifted in making contact with YOU BETCHA NODDY (5) and NADZEYA (2) with these runners losing ground. NADZEYA and ROTOVEGAS SPARKY (7) came together rounding the bend losing momentum with MALIGNED then improving onto the heels of NADZEYA who was badly unbalanced losing ground and shifting out hampering THAT ICE COLD and YOU BETCHA NODDY who were both unbalanced for a distance shifting very wide losing ground. NADZEYA, THAT ICE COLD and YOU BETCHA NODDY were all referred to the veterinarian following this event with no abnormalities detected. Following this event the lure stopped past the safety rail with some runners making contact with the running rail. The veterinarian inspected these dogs with no abnormality detected. The lure driver was spoken to regarding this.
Race 7	Last One Standing Stakes - C1 - 527	ZIMMER FRAME (7) was the last to leave the boxes. CORUBA CATE (4) and BLOO BLOOMERS (6) came together for several strides soon after the start. Entering the first turn SCOTT NO VALUE (7) shifted in onto CORUBA CATE who then shifted out abruptly off this runners heels making solid contact with ZIMMER FRAME with these runners both unbalanced shifting very wide losing ground. A Post race veterinary examination of CORUBA CATE revealed no abnormality.
Race 8	DogZone Sprint - C1 - 318	TAKE THE SHORTS (2) shifted in leaving the boxes making solid contact with the hindquarters of NANGAR GEM (1) with JOBS RITE (3) then shifting in making contact with these runners with TAKE THE SHORTS losing ground. Soon after the start BOTANY BEV (4) made contact with the hindquarters of TEPIRITA AMBER (5) who came together with PLAITING PUSS (6) with these runners losing momentum with BOTANY BEV then shifting out making contact with the hindquarters of PLAITING PUSS for a distance. TEPIRITA AMBER, JOBS RITE and NANGAR GEM came together for a distance racing down the back straight. Entering the first turn JOBS RITE was unbalanced shifting out getting on the heels of TEPIRITA AMBER losing momentum with BOTANY BEV then improving onto the heels of JOBS RITE who became badly unbalanced and fell. Hampered losing ground as a result were PLAITING PUSS, TAKE THE SHORTS and BOTANY BEV. JOBS RITE regained its footing to finish the race some distance from the field with a post race veterinary examination revealing pain in the left quadriceps with a 5 day stand down imposed. It was noted that over the concluding stages of this event the lure was closer than the required distance to the leading dog. After reviewing the footage the Stewards were satisfied, under Rule 75.1, no greyhound had been substantially inconvenienced as a result of the variance.
Race 9	Greyhound Function Centre Sprint - C2 - 318	OPAWA POPPY (7) and SPITE ON TIME (8) made brief contact racing down the back straight. BOW RIVER MAN (5) and OPAWA POPPY came together racing toward the first turn with these runners shifting in with BOW RIVER MAN then checked making contact with SPRITE ON TIME with these runners losing ground. Also inconvenienced shifting wide and losing ground was CONTEMPORANEOUS (6). Rounding the bend AGENT SCHRADER (3) shifted out off heels making contact with OPAWA POPPY with these runners losing ground. Rounding the bend SPRITE ON TIME shifted in tightening BOW RIVER MAN and FORTIS FIONA (1) who were checked. Rounding the final bend SPRITE ON TIME shifted out into the line of OPAWA POPPY who got on this runners heels. FORTIS FIONA and BOW RIVER MAN came together entering the final straight. DRURY will no longer be boxed away first for its immediate future racing.
Race 10	Andrew Coker Retirement Stakes - C3/4 - 527	JOE JOE (2) stumbled leaving the boxes losing ground. Soon after the start RUBY MURRAY (5) and ZIPPING SASHA (4) were tightened and checked between SANTA SANGRE (6) and CAWBOURNE WALES (9) who shifted ground. RUBY MURRAY and CAWBOURNE WALES came together for a distance racing toward the first turn with these runners tightened when ZIPPING DEE (1) shifted out and JINJALESS (7) shifted in with CAWBOURNE WALES checked losing ground and ZIPPING DEE, SANTA SANGRE and JINJALESS then making contact for several strides with SANTA SANGRE losing ground. Also inconvenienced as result was FABIO (8) who made contact with the hindquarters of JINJALESS becoming unbalanced losing ground. ZIPPING DEE then turned outwards toward JINJALESS who was taken wider on the track. ZIPPING SASHA made contact with the hindquarters of CAWBOURNE WALES for several strides rounding the first turn with CAWBOURNE WALES losing ground inconveniencing JOE JOE. ZIPPING DEE and SANTA SANGRE came together entering the bend leaving the back straight. Rounding the final bend ZIPPING DEE shifted in onto SANTA SANGRE with these runners then continuing to make contact for a distance. ZIPPING DEE was referred to the veterinarian following this event with no abnormality detected. After reviewing footage and speaking with connections ZIPPING DEE was stood down under Rule 79.1b for 3 months and until the completion of a satisfactory trial (2nd offence). JOE JOE was referred to the veterinarian with no abnormality detected.
Race 11	McGhie Plumbing Sprint - C5 - 318	The start of this event was delayed approximately 5 minutes after the lids failed to fully release. All Greyhounds were removed from the boxes and examined by the veterinarian and passed fit to race. The boxes were tested to satisfaction prior to runners being reloaded. This event was hand started. LADY ROSE (7) was slow away. THRILLING GALAXY (4), NANGAR STAR (3) and ZIPPING STEVE (2) all came together soon after the start with these runners jostling for several strides. NANGAR STAR was awkwardly placed on the heels of VON TRAPP (8) rounding the final bend.
Race 12	MTA Gift Vouchers Sprint - C3 - 318	MITTYSEQUE (1) and SANDOR GLEGANE (9) were last to leave the boxes. THRILLING FOREST (7) and POWDER JACK (6) came together leaving the boxes shifting in with POWDER JACK then making contact with the hindquarters of MYRNIONG GIRL for a distance. MYRNIONG GIRL, POWDER JACK and THRILLING FOREST came together racing toward the first turn with MITTYESQUE then shifting out into the line of these runners who were checked with MITTYESQUE getting on the heels of LITTLE RASCAL (3) then making contact with THRILLING FOREST with these runners shifting wide losing ground. LITTLE RASCAL (3) then angled in into the line of SANDOR GLEGANE with these runners becoming unbalanced shifting out hampering POWDER JACK, MITTYESQUE, MYRNIONG GIRL and THRILLING FOREST who were all unbalanced losing ground.
Race 13	Plasterboard Ltd Sprint - C4 - 318	GOOD RETURN (6) and SIMPLY SAM (7) were last to leave the boxes with these runners making brief contact soon after the start. ATOONGA AIR (4) made contact with the hindquarters of LITTLE DREAMS (3) soon after leaving the boxes. GOOD RETURN and SIMPLY SAM came together and jostled for a distance racing down the back straight. Entering the first turn ATOONGA AIR (4) was tightened becoming unbalanced and falling. Hampered as a result were MR. JULES (5) and SIMPLY SAM. SEMANTICS (1) became uncomfortable in its action rounding the bend losing ground with a post race veterinary examination revealing an injury to the left hind leg. ATOONFGA AIR regained its footing to finish the event some distance from the field with a veterinarian examination revealing no abnormality.
