| Race 1 | Formpro Ratings Free Every Monday C0 - C0 - 375 | BILLY MARLOW was a late scratching earlier in the morning after showing symptoms of kennel cough. CAWBOURNE JAROD ( fav ) began awkwardly and was last in the early running, he made some ground in the run home finishing in a bunch of 5 dogs at the line in 8th position. |
| Race 2 | Greyhounds As Pets C1 - C1 - 375 | Racing in to the first bend EAR'S BORIS angled outwards from midfield across the face of FANGIRL,HOMEBUSH BOUNCE and CHAIRUP. FANGIRL went down on her haunches, CHAIR UP ran in to the hind of EAR'S BORIS who knocked HOMEBUSH BOUNCE out sideways widest on the track. FANGIRL recovered to finish on to the lure and was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to have a right side triceps injury a 10 day stand down was recommended. FANGIRL after being sat on her haunches in the incident was assessed a faller in this race. EAR'S BORIS recovered his stride to finish a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to have a mild injury to right quadriceps a 7 day stand down was recommended. |
| Race 3 | J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 375 | CHIEF BAXTER went up with the lids . GOODTIME LADY racing handy in to the first bend was bumped losing a length as JOHNNY ANGEL improved on her outer angling inwards for a stride or so. ANOTHER JET was forced to check back and out off heels in to the first bend causing him to race widest at this point . ANOTHER JET ran on well in to third placing at the line. |
| Race 4 | Shakey Jakey At Rocky Ridge C2 - C2 - 375 | ALAMEIN DUKE box 5 began awkwardly. CAWBOURNE SPREE ( fav ) racing handy in to the first bend was bumped as KENTARO BAXTER improved on his outer. CAWBOURNE SPREE was then tightened in on to ALAMEIN BLONDE and KING HIT MIKE hampering these runners for a few strides where they lost ground. CAWBOURNE SPREE was bumped and jostled several more times soon after as HOMEBUSH OLIVE and BELFAST EJIT improved past on his outer angling inwards. CAWBOURNE SPREE lost ground to the rear and was unable to get back in to contention there after finishing in the rear at the line. CAWBOURNE SPREE was referred to the vet for assessment and was found to have a left side quadriceps injury a 7 day stand down was recommended. KING HIT MIKE after striking trouble in to the first bend finished on strongly in the latter stages in to 4th placing at the line. |
| Race 5 | Personal Protective Services C1 - C1 - 375 | RAINCHECK was a late scratching at kennelling after a laceration to the left foreleg was found. Trainer L Doody was spoken to by the Stewards regarding the injury resulting in the late scratching of RAINCHECK where it was found that the dog had re-opened and old injury on the way to the track, her explanation was excepted. MEAT DAMON ( fav ) was only fairly away racing in behind the leaders in to the first bend where he was tightened and checked as CAWBOURNE PAWS improved quickly angling inwards on to PRINCLY MONEY forcing this runner in on to PEEJAY PRINGLES and MEAT DAMON. CHERIE'S BOY also improving wider out was checked as runners came back on him. MEAT DAMON lost ground back past midfield and made good ground in the run home to finish in to 4th placing at the line. |
| Race 6 | Buck Fever At Stud C1 - C1 - 375 | CAWBOURNE STEPS ( fav ) from box 4 was checked leaving the mat then bumped going down on her nose as VEE VEERY LOVELY ran across pushing HOMEBUSH MESSI in on to CAWBOURNE STEPS. CAWBOURNE STEPS raced in the rear to nearing the home turn where she gained a run through on the inner to finish in to 4th placing at the line. As the dogs raced in to the home straight HOMEBUSH MESSI was forced to check out sharply over the heels of CAWBOURNE STEPS losing a length or so. CAWBOURNE STEPS was referred to the vet as a precaution and was found to have injuries to left pectoral muscles a 14 day stand down was recommended. |
| Race 7 | Affordable Pet Accessories C2 - C2 - 375 | Soon after the start APOLLO BAXTER caught the shoulder of BANSHEE BOY bumping this runner out in to the line of HOMEBUSH GINGER, LEKTRA SPIDER and ALCUDIA checking all these runners at this point with them all losing ground . |
| Race 8 | The Wright Decorators C4/5 - C4/5 - 375 | ALLEGRO CLASS box 1 was away well racing handy to the top bend where after WINSOME JENNY was pushed in to the hind of ALLEGRO CLASS went back through the field and appeared to be uncomfortable in his galloping action thereafter finishing a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have severe bruising to right pectoral muscle a 10 day stand down was recommended. Soon after the start ANGVELLA angled across the face of SPRING GAMBO in on to WHEELIE CHILLIE pushing this runner in across the face of VEGAS DANNY. WHEELIE CHILLIE went in across the heels of WHEELIE RASCAL with VEGAS DANNY catching heels as he was checked back to the rear. VEGAS DANNY was bumped and jostled when caught between SPRING GAMBO and CAWBOURNE BUTTSY in to the first bend. |
| Race 9 | Outback Trading Company C3/4 - C3/4 - 457 | Racing in to the first bend BIGTIME RANSON caught the heels of the leader SMASH ALLEGRO and went back several lengths. BIGTIME RANSON was unable to get back in to contention there after finishing towards the rear at the line. |
| Race 10 | wheeldeal.co.nz C3 - C3 - 375 | JOEY BA. TER stood when the lids lifted missing the start by approx. 5 lengths. Racing on to the top bend SUPERLINER from box 1 racing in midfield angled outwards checking SECOND TIME and FAIR CRUZIN very wide causing them to cover a fair amount of extra ground racing to the home turn where SUPERLINER angled back down towards the rail. FAIR CRUZIN lost all chance in this incident finishing in the rear at the line. JOEY BAXTER after a poor start made good ground along the inner to finish in to 4th placing at the line. |
| Race 11 | Preston's Master Butchers C1 - C1 - 457 | RED EXPRESS ( fav ) began awkwardly for a couple of strides ,soon recovered to head to the lead. CONSUMATE EASE box 3 angled out wide in to the first bend and continued to race widest across the top bend in to and down the home straight covering a fair amount of ground throughout the race finishing in last placing at the line. |
| Race 12 | Graeme Hayden-Holmes Memorial Final - C1f - 457 | Racing to the first bend ARCANE RAMPAGE raced across bumping in to FREDDY BEDROCK in on to THAT'S KING who was tightened making contact with the rail on a couple of times in the next few strides. THAT'S KING lost momentum back to the rear and was unable to improve there after finishing in the rear at the line. THAT'S KING was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. |
