Track: Good Track was presented in a very good racing condition. All other equipment operated well.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: ELUSIVE BABE ( W Kite ) race 3 has been stood down Rule 80.1 to complete a satisfactory trial.
The Starter was spoken to advisedly to check in the future if he is unsure regarding receiving the all clear to load away.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305	CAWBOURNE MEZZA ( fav ) box 4 began awkwardly ending up in midfield in the early running. CAWBOURNE MEZZA raced off balance for a couple of strides after changing ground inwards in to the first bend . THUNDERATION was best away with CAWBOURNE MEZZA chasing him home. WINE OCLOCK box 8 was forced to race wide in to and around the top bend after KHAL DRAGO improving was forced to check out over heels, both runners covered a fair amount of extra ground across the bend in to the home straight filling the last two placings at the line. SCOOTERS ROSE was referred to the vet at the Trainers request where no abnormalities were found.
Race 2	ADEPT ACCOUNTANTS C0 - C0 - 520	CANDY CRUSHER ( fav ) ,DRIFTING ALONG, BELFAST BARRY and RUFUS AR GEE all began awkwardly, BELFAST BARRY and RUFUS AR GEE the worst of these being last in to the bend on the first occasion by several lengths. ORANGEY YELLOW and WALNUT bumped soon after the start. DRIFTING ALONG after a poor start quickly recovered to lead the field before weakening nearing the home turn . As the field straightened for the run home WALNUT racing to the lead bumped in to the shoulder of DRIFTING ALONG hampering this runner slightly for a stride. RUFUS AR GEE after racing in the rear throughout lost ground in the run home to finish a margin in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. The Stewards spoke with Mrs R McArthur regarding this dogs performance in the latter stages. Mrs McArthur said that this being the dogs first start she felt that the dog did not run the 520 metres out as the kennel had hoped and that the dog will be raced over a sprint distance at it's next start. The Stewards excepted this explanation on this occasion.
Race 3	LASER PLUMBING C1 - C1 - 305	ELUSIVE BABE box 2 and CONSUMATE EASE box 4 were slowest away. Racing from the boxes UNO NIGEL box 8 ran in on to the hind of ANNIE WAY hampering this runner as they raced off the mat. Soon after the start KAY MARTING ( fav ) came out as COME ON MICKEY angled across checking ALLEGRO DASH in between as all three runners bumped and jostled. Racing in to the first bend CONSUMATE EASE angled in across the line of ELUSIVE BABE who lost several lengths at this point. Racing on to the top bend UNO NIGEL was hampered for several strides when caught in behind ANNIE WAY, UNO NIGEL was again hampered as CONSUMATE EASE checked out across heels bumping UNO NIGEL out wider. ELUSIVE BABE was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. The Stewards showed a replay to Trainer W Kite who agreed that is was below par performance in the run on to the bend. ELUSIVE BABE has been stood down to complete a satisfactory trial. W Kite has advised the Stewards that ELUSIVE BABE is to be retired from racing.
Race 4	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C1 - C1 - 520	BUSINESS REVIEW box 3 missed the jump slightly. Racing in to the bend on the first occasion there was crowding as HOMEBUSH BOUNCE angled across with BUSINESS REVIEW pushing up in between CAWBOURNE GABLE and BUSTER BOY who pushed out over the heels of ALAMEIN JAH who was checked sideways for a stride or so ,a couple of strides on BUSINESS REVIEW came out over heels forcing HOMEBUSH BOUNCE and CAWBOURNE GABLE wide around the first bend.
Race 5	LIQUORLAND WANGANUI C2 - C2 - 305	This race was delayed 2 minute due to a Harness race running over time. SASHA MCBELL was a late scratching at kennelling due to having opened and old injury during transport to the track. a 14 day stand down was recommended.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE C2 - C2 - 520	HAWKESBURY FEVER box 6 was slowest away. Racing in to the bend on the first occasion HAWKESBURY FEVER crossed to the rail and improved his position in midfield Racing near the inner MAGIC WHITELOCK racing in tight quarters went back to the rear as he came back off heels losing momentum the first bend VIVA LA VIXEN had come out across the line of MAGIC WHITELOCK pushing CANDID ANGEL on to TO THE BANK as this runner attempted to improve in to a gap, these runners all ran wide around the bend.
Race 7	AON CPF C3 - C3 - 305	Racing to the first bend there was crowding in midfield resulting in MGIC GINA being checked back severely making contact with the rail for a stride losing momentum and was unable to get back in to contention finishing in the rear at the line. MAGIC GINA was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 8	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C3 - C3 - 520	Racing on to the bend on the first occasion CRIKEY checked out over the heels of SWIFTLY CHOLE bumping OPAWA SPICE with this runner racing widest around the bend in to the back straight. CAWBOURNE GRACIE was hampered for a stride racing around the first bend and never improved there after finishing several lengths in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. Trainer M Roberts was spoken to regarding the run of Cawbourne Gracie with an improved performance expected in the future.
Race 9	THE ROCK 95.2FM C5 - C5 - 305	SPEEDY BEAT and EFFECTIVE POWER were both late scratchings before arrival due to having symptoms of gastroenteritis. ALLEGRO CLASS ( fav ) after getting away well was slightly hampered as AL'S GIRL crossed him racing in to the bend. ALLEGRO CLASS lost ground back to the rear and was unable to show is customary pace there after finishing in the rear at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found. Steward reported that ALLEGRO CLASS had a fair amount of matter in one eye on returning to the wash bay.
Race 10	FIRST SECURITY C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	SKUZI ( fav ) began awkwardly, wider out ABSINTHE MINDED raced across pushing OPAWA SHAY in on to MAKING TIME who was checked going sideways for some strides. racing in to the bend on the first occasion BIG WONDER on getting to the lead angled in across the face of SKUZI resulting in SHERLOCK IZMIR checking out over his heels across the front of MAKING TIME, OPAWA SHAY and ABSINTHE MINDED as ALLMINDINGER box 8 angled inwards, all these runners were checked and jostled for some strides. ALLMENDINGER was forced to race widest there after and did well to finish in to 2nd placing at the line.
Race 11	DOPEY DOG LASER ENGRAVING C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	In the run to the first bend GRAND ALLEGRO changing ground to improve caught the heels of CHAIMBO as he angled across bumping in to and pushing JOEY BAXTER towards the rail. JOEY BAXTER and GRAND ALLEGRO lost some ground and were unable to get back in to contention there after. HOMEBUSH CHAOS racing handy along the inner lost her position on the top bend as EXPOTENTIAL LILY crossed to the rail.
Race 12	BOOK YOUR FUNCTION @ HATRICK C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	WHEELIE GOOD was slowest away from box 4. HIGH PERCENTAGE ( fav )box 1 was away well vying for the lead in to the first bend with SWEET AS BRO on his outer attempting to angled inwards resulting in VITO BAXTER catching the hind of HIGH PERCENTAGE who fell with VITO BAXTER and HOMEBUSH RAMONA galloped over the top of the fallen runner ,FREEDOM FLYER and WHEELIE GOOD were checked out wide as they avoided the trouble, these runners all lost ground allowing SWEET AS BRO and FUNKY FREDDDY to get a good lead on the field ,these runners filling the first two placings at the line. HIGH PERCENTAGE recovered to his paws and was taken off the track at the home turn being referred to the vet for assessment where he was found to have suffered a contusion to the nose area with a 14 day stand down recommended.
