WICKED WINSTON continued up the track causing a check to GO POPPY (5). ZORBA THE GREEK (6) lost ground when awkwardly placed to the back of HOMEBUSH SLINKY (7) entering the bend. |
| Race 2 | Active Electrical Christchurch Sprint - C3 - 295 | OPAWA COLIN (6) and MULBERRY BROOK (7) came together through the early stages. AIR EXPRESS (3) lost ground rounding the bend when turned by OPAWA LEAN MEAT (1) which was improving to its inside. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Dash - C2 - 295 | MAY MAY LAST (4) came inwards at the start and crowded the racing room of ROYAL BUSH (3). HOMEBUSH RILEY (5) came down the track in the lead up to the bend causing an inconvenience to MAY MAY LAST and YOU'RE THE BEST (2) with both these dogs being dragged down. Post - race vet checks on these runners cleared them from injury. |
| Race 4 | Carol's T.A.B. Stakes - C2 - 520 | LAGOON TWIST (8) was slow to jump. KNOW VALUE (5) was placed in restricted room between UGO FLASH (6) and GOLDSTART COCO (4) shortly after the start. THRILLING LUKE (2) lost ground when racing to the inside of OPAWA TRACY (7) entering the first bend. THRILLING LUKE was again disadvantaged when GOLDSTAR COCO improved to its inside rounding the first bend which in turn checked KNOW VALUE (5). |
| Race 5 | David Emerson Consultancy Dash - C4 - 295 | THRILLING ECHO (5) lost momentum when having to check to the outside of PAPERBOND (7) shortly after the start. MAUDIE'S BABE (3) lost ground entering the bend when racing to the inside of MUST DESIRE (6). GOLDSTAR BOMBER (4) was held up for clear racing room rounding the bend. |
| Race 6 | Barron's Supplies Sprint - C3 - 295 | MARK BE GOOD (3) was severely checked SPEEDY DISPATCH (2) when awkwardly placed to the outside of ULTRA ACTION (1) with this resulting in SPEEDY ACTION (2) also being inconvenienced. A post-race vet check on MARK BE GOOD cleared the dog of injury. |
| Race 7 | Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C4 - 295 | COSTING MONEY (5) was slow to jump. ROYAL ACTION (2) was placed in restricted room to the inside of OM NOM NOM (3) entering the bend and made contact with the rail, ROYAL ACTION was the awkwardly placed between GUMP'S THE NAME and SKETCHY STEVE (4) after entering the home straight. ROYAL ACTION was cleared of injury by the veterinarian. |
| Race 8 | Christchurch Casino Stakes - C3 - 520 | ARCTIC ACTION (2) was placed in restricted room prior to the first bend when racing between KINLOCH POWER (4) and LONG STCKINGS (1). DAD'S AMBITITION (3) was obliged to check outwards off the heels of NINA BAXTER (7) entering the first bend with this causing tightening to LONG STOCKINGS, ARCTIC ACTION and KINLOCH POWER who fell to the track. A post - race vet examination of KINLOCH POWER revealed no injury. |
| Race 9 | Garden City Chem-Dry Dash - C5 - 295 | GRAND APACHE (2) was slow to jump and was then awkwardly placed on the heals of DYNA QUIRK (8). SMASH RUMOUR (4) was stood down for 7 days after sustaining a right groin strain during the running. |
| Race 10 | Mac Developments Stakes - C3/4 - 520 | COUNTRY CROSSING (4) came down the track through the early stages bumping with KNOW MAYHEM (9/2) which in turn forced KNOW JINX (1) to turn and make contact with the running rail with these to runners then bumping again leading up to the first bend. KNOW JINX was cleared of injury by the course veterinarian. |
| Race 11 | Happy Easter Dash - C5 - 295 | KERAMUS (6) was awkwardly placed to the inside of MOJO BURST (5) when improving off the back of SMASH THAT (4) entering the home straight. SMASH THAT (4) was stood down for 10 days after spraining its 4th toe on its right front foot. |
| Race 12 | Livamol Sprint - C4 - 295 | CARNEGIE HALL (7) came inwards at the start and was slightly turned when contacting AIDEN BAXTER (5). ROADWORKS (2) and CAPTAIN SHAZZ (4) came together entering the home straight as did AIDEN BAXTER and GREET THE JUDGE (6). |
