Racing toward the first turn WAIRIO DEE JAY (1) shifted out inconveniencing LORD DE AIR (2) and MAKING YOU PAW (3) before making contact with DIVA POSE (5). Entering the first turn ZAFONIC SOUND (6) angled in onto DIVA POSE who shifted in tightening WAIRIO DEE JAY in onto LORD DE AIR who was checked with WAIRIO DEE JAY and LORD DE AIR losing ground. Rounding the final bend WAIRIO DEE JAY shifted out taking MAKING YOU PAW wider on the track. |
| Race 2 | Holsters Tokoroa Sprint - C2 - 375 | MALIGNED (5) was slow away then further inconvenienced when AGENT SCHRADER (6) angled in. Soon after the start RASSO (3) shifted out getting on the heels of MOCKINGJAY (4) with these runners becoming unbalanced. Racing toward the first turn CHATEAU NEUF (8) shifted in making solid contact with AGENT SCHRADER. RASSO, MALIGNED, AGENT SCHRADER and CHATEAU NEUF came together entering the first turn. Rounding the bend RASSO shifted out getting on the heels of AGENT SCHRADER for a stride then shifting out further taking CHATEAU NEUF wider on the track with these runners losing ground. |
| Race 3 | Couplands Dog Biscuits Sprint - C1 - 375 | ZOE'S FUNK (2) and PODIUM BONUS (8) were slow away. CONTEMPORANEOUS (5) and ZULU MERCEDES (4) came together soon after the start with CONTEMPORANEOUS then shifting out and ZULU MERECEDES then shifting in inconveniencing ZOE'S FUNK. Entering the first turn WINSOME DAN (6) shifted in tightening PRAIRIE KACHINA (3) in onto CORUBA CATE (1) who was tightened and checked losing ground. WILD FALCON (7) came together with PRAIRIE KACHINA rounding the first turn with WILD FALCON losing momentum inconveniencing CORUBA CATE who then shifted out off heels taking CONTEMPORANEOUS wider on the track. CORUBA CATE then raced wide for the remainder of the event. |
| Race 4 | Thomas Jewellers Tokoroa Stakes - C0 - 457 | MID COLLISION (6) and OLIVIA (7) were slow away. CAWBOURNE ESKI (5) began awkwardly briefly inconveniencing EM HOLLAND (4). OLIVIA and HIGHWAY HOUND (8) came together leaving the boxes. CAWBOURNE ESKI shifted in racing toward the first turn making contact with EM HOLLAND who lost ground. Rounding the first turn OLIVIA shifted in making contact with the hindquarters of CAWBOURNE ESKI who made contact with TEEFONIC (2) who shifted in slightly tightening CAWBOURNE PANIC who lost ground.CAWBOURNE ESKI shifted in rounding the bend making contact with CAWBOURNE PANIC (1) on several occasions with this runner then racing in restricted room for a distance. MID COLLISION was referred to the veterinarian following this event for a toe injury with a 42 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 5 | Duyvestyn Drainage Sprint - C1 - 375 | SNAPCHAT (7) and BILL RUSH (6) came together soon after the start with BILL RUSH then making brief contact with DECEPTIVE LAD (5).SAVED BY LOVE (3) and TEPIRITA AMBER (4) came together leaving the boxes and again soon after the start with these runners both briefly unbalanced. Entering the first turn SAVED BY LOVE shifted in tightening TEPIRITA AMBER who was checked losing ground. Inconvenienced as a result was SNAPCHAT. UNO NATHAN (8) angled in entering the final straight inconveniencing BILL RUSH, SAVED BY LOVE and OPAWA UNO (2). |
| Race 6 | Waikato GRC Appreciation Sprint - C2 - 375 | MORE SALT NEEDED (6) was slow away. Soon after the start SCOTT NO VALUE (3) shifted out making contact with SPOTTED FLYER (5) who shifted out onto LADY JANE (7). Rounding the first turn WAERENGA STAR (4) shifted in placing SPEARMINT JUJU (1) in restricted room with this runner then becoming awkwardly placed on heels and falling. Unable to avoid the fallen runner were SCOTT NO VALUE (3), SPOTTED FLYER and LADY JANE who were all hampered with SPOTTED FLYER shifting out onto THRILLING CARTER who was badly unbalanced for some distance almost falling, losing considerable ground as a result. Rounding the final bend SPOTTED FLYER angled in into the line of SCOTT NO VALUE who was checked having to shift out off this runners heels losing ground. SPEARMINT JUJU regained its footing to finish some distance from the field with a post race veterinary examination revealing no abnormality. THRILLING CARTER was referred to the veterinarian with no abnormality detected. |
| Race 7 | Waikato Kidz Kartz Sprint - C4 - 375 | LITTLE RASCAL (9) began awkwardly. ROCKY BOY (5), IRISH BLUE (6), LUCKY MAN (7) and FRESCO STAR (8) came together soon after the start WITH IRISH BLUE and LUCKY MAN losing ground. Racing toward the first turn LITTLE RASCAL shifted out inconveniencing ROCKY BOY who made brief contact with this runners hindquarters with ROCKY BOY then making contact with FRESCO STAR. Entering the first turn FRESCO STAR shifted in inconveniencing ROCKY BOY. UMAGA RAMA (2) and SKYLER WHITE (1) came together entering the first turn with these runners then further inconvenienced when FRESCO STAR continued to shift in taking LITTLE RASCAL in onto these runners. As a result SKYLER WHITE and LITTLE RASCAL lost ground going back onto LUCKY MAN (7) and IRISH BLUE. Rounding the bend FRESCO STAR became awkwardly placed on the heels of SOMETIME SOON (4) with these runners briefly unbalanced and FRESCO STAR then shifting out inconveniencing UMAGA RAMA. |
| Race 8 | Committee Stakes - C2 - 457 | BORIS GUMP (7) and GOLFING BUDDY (8) made contact soon after the start with these runners shifting wide. GOLDEN IVY (1) and LUCKY COLLECT (2) came together racing toward the first turn. THRILLING RIOT (5) clipped the heels of LUCKY COLLECT rounding the first turn becoming unbalanced losing considerable ground. Rounding the bend GOLDEN IVY shifted out into the line of LUCKY COLLECT who got on this runners heels for a stride losing ground. |

Soon after the start VARGA FROST (4) shifted in making contact with DANDY STAR (3) who was unbalanced shifting in coming together with SACRED CAN YOU (2) with DANDY STAR and SACRED CAN YOU losing ground. Entering the first turn ROTOVEGAS RARA (6) shifted in making contact with VARGA FROST losing ground. Rounding the final bend VINCENT GALLO (1) shifted out making contact with VARGA FROST who was taken out onto ATOONGA AIR with these runners all briefly unbalanced then racing wide for a distance losing ground. |

JULES then made solid contact with the hindquarters of KEVIN IN BANGKOK (5) with these runners unbalanced shifting in losing ground. DISCO RAIN (2) and FANTASTIC SID (3) came together racing down the back straight. Entering the first turn CAWBOURNE BRICK shifted in making contact with the hindquarters of KEVIN IN BANGKOK with these runners losing ground. |
| Race 11 | Affordable Pet Accessories Sprint - C3 - 375 | FORTIS FIONA (6) shifted in leaving the boxes inconveniencing MELMAN (5) and MR. MUMBLES (4). FORTIS FIONA then continued to shift in racing into the first turn into the line of SPRINGVALE HARRY (9) with these runners losing momentum. As a result trailing runners improved onto the heels of FORTIS FIONA and SPRINGVALE HARRY with these runners both becoming badly unbalanced and falling. Hampered as a result were JINJA LUCA (2), MR. MUMBLES and PEACOCK PRINCESS (7). JINJA LUCA (2) raced wide rounding the final bend. FORTIS FIONA was referred to the veterinarian which revealed split webbing on the left hind and a 10 day stand down imposed. SPRINGVALE HARRY was cleared of injury by the veterinarian following this event. |
| Race 12 | Happy Birthday Max Mathews Stakes - C4/5 - 457 | PREMIER OSTI was a late scratching at 11.05am on veterinary advice. GOOD RETURN (5) was slow away. TEEGAMBO (2) and SPANISH FANCY (3) came together leaving the boxes. SPANISH FANCY and TALKIN FANCY (9) came together entering the first turn with these runners losing momentum. As a result TEEGAMBO improved onto the heels of SPANISH FANCY who was badly unbalanced and fell. SPANISH FANCY was referred to the veterinarian following this event with back pain detected and a 21 day stand down imposed. |

FOREVER IRIS and ZIMMER FRAME came together racing down the back straight inconveniencing PLENTY OF TIME.
