| Race 1 | Super Pets Sprint - C0 - 295 | PROMISIES MADE (2) and SPARKLING TERRA (4) were last to leave the boxes. Entering the first turn REPLICA YELLA (6) angled in tightening CHILL OUT RACH (5) and SPARKLING TERRA who were both checked losing ground. |
| Race 2 | Happy Birthday Graham McCormick Stakes - C0 - 520 | HELLS A COMING (1), GOLDSTAR SCOOTER (7) and OPAWA BUCKS (8) were last to leave the boxes. OPAWA DIVA (2) and OPAWA FAITH (4) came together soon after the start with OPAWA FAITH then shifting out coming together with CAWBOURNE MURF (5). HELLS A COMING and OPAWA DIVA came together racing toward the first turn with OPAWA DIVA losing ground. OPAWA FAITH and CAWBOURNE MURF made contact entering the first turn with OPAWA FAITH losing ground and CAWBOURNE MURF shifting out inconveniencing GOLDSTAR SCOOTER and OPAWA BUCKS who both shifted wider on the track. Also inconvenienced as a result was HELLS A COMING who shifted out off heels to obtain clear racing room. CAWBOURNE MURF was referred to the veterinarian after being harassed by another runner at the lure with a 21 day stand down imposed. |
| Race 3 | Business Time At Stud Dash - C0 - 295 | CHILE MUSTARD (7) and GIANCANA (8) were slow away. OPAWA WHISPER (4) and MISTY OPTICALLY (5) made solid contact leaving the boxes. Racing into the first turn GIANCANA (8) made brief contact with MISTY OPTICALLY (5) who lost ground. Entering the first turn TOTES (6) angled in tightening OPAWA WHISPER who then made contact with this runners hindquarters for several strides with these runners both losing ground. PEPS TERRA (1) and BIG CATCH (3) came together rounding the final bend. Entering the final straight CHILE MUSTARD (7) angled in getting on the heels of MISTY OPTICALLY who was badly unbalanced then fell. A veterinary examination of MISTY OPTICALLY revealed an injury to the left fore leg. |
| Race 4 | Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C1 - 295 | LEXIE RAE (3), EUG THE SCROOGE (5) and GOLDSTAR ROSIE (6) came together and jostled for a distance soon after the start with these runners losing ground. Entering the first turn, in a compact line, KRISTA BALE (8) angled in badly hampering JINJA BRIAN (7), RIO ACTION (10), ADRENALIN KICK (2) and TIP THE BALE (1) with these runners all unbalanced with JINJA BRIAN and RIO ACTION almost falling and TIP THE BALE contacting the running rail. Also hampered as a result were LEXIE RAE, EUG THE SCROOG and GOLDSTAR ROSIE with all involved runners losing considerable ground. JINJA BRIAN, RIO ACTION and TIP THE BALE were all referred to the veterinarian following this event with no abnormalities detected. |
| Race 5 | Bill's Bar & Bistro Sprint - C1 - 295 | UNO JAMES (1) was slow away. EKALI (2) and CAWBOURNE TEASH (3) made contact soon after the start and again entering the first turn with these runners becoming unbalanced then coming together with RED HOT ACTION for several strides. EKALI then lost its footing shifting out into the line of CAWBOURNE TEASH who became badly unbalanced and fell hampering RED HOT ACTION. Also inconvenienced, taking evasive action and shifting wider on the track were UNO JAMES and OHOKA FAITH. CAWBOURNE TEASH regained its footing to finish some distance from the field with a post race veterinary examination revealing cramping with a 10 day stand down imposed. EKALI was examined by the veterinarian following this event with no abnormality detected. |
| Race 6 | Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C1 - 520 | BLACK SAILS (3) and STAR APACHE (8) were slow away. CAWBOURNE WEB (2) went up with the lids then stumbled leaving the boxes losing ground. OPAWA BUCKS EYE (6) had to steady and shift out off heels racing into the first turn. OPAWA BUCKS EYE was tightened and checked soon after the start losing ground. ANOTHER VESPA (5) was inconvenienced losing ground entering the bend leaving the back straight going back onto STAR APACHE who got on this runners heels with both runners briefly unbalanced. CAWBOURNE WEB underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormality. |
| Race 7 | Yella Mustard At Stud Dash - C1 - 295 | LUCAS SCOTT (6) was last to leave the boxes. BIGTIME TIP (5) shifted out soon after leaving the boxes making solid contact with WRINKLES (7) who was unbalanced losing ground. WRINKLES then continued to lose ground throughout the remainder of the event with a post race veterinary examination revealing an injury to the left hind with a 10 day stand down imposed. TAYLAS FRIEND (10) shifted in to obtain clear racing room rounding the final bend. |
| Race 8 | christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520 | OPAWA PEACHES (4) was briefly inconvenienced leaving the boxes when PRIVATE ACTION (9) shifted out. OPAWA PAUL (6) shifted in leaving the boxes inconveniencing SKILLZ TAYLOR (5) who shifted in making contact with the hindquarters of OPAWA PEACHES with SKILLZ TAYLOR losing ground. |
| Race 9 | Yaldhurst Hotel Sprint - C1 - 295 | Racing toward the first turn SMOKING MARLEY (5) shifted in making contact with STEEL THE GOLD (3) with these runners losing ground. STEEL THE GOLD then became awkwardly placed on the heels of SMOKING MARLEY rounding the bend with STEEL THE GOLD shifting in off this runners heels. As a result OPAWA PERISSA (6) shifted out abruptly to avoid the heels of STEEL THE GOLD taking SHAKAYLA ROSE (8) wider on the track with these runners then racing wide for the remainder of the event losing ground. |
| Race 10 | Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C2 - 295 | ILABB (7) angled in leaving the boxes taking GO POPPY (6) in onto TEPIRITA HENDRIX (4) with these runners all inconvenienced, TEPIRITA HENDRIX and ILABB losing ground. HELLO BLONDIE (1) and HOMEBUSH RILEY (2) came together racing into the first turn losing ground. TEPIRITA HENDRIX and ILABB made contact entering the first turn. |
| Race 11 | Coalgate Tavern Dash - C1 - 295 | VERBATIM was a late scratching at 10.07am on veterinary advice. YOUR THE BEST (2) was slow away. SAHARA SAM (8) angled in soon after the start inconveniencing GIGANAIRE (7) with these runners coming together for a distance with GIGANAIRE then losing ground as a result. SAHARA SAM then continued to shift in racing toward the first turn tightening ZIRCON (5) and KNOW ENERGY (4) with these three runners inconvenienced and ZIRCON losing ground. Also inconvenienced as a result was OHOKA HOPE (1). Entering the first turn GIGANAIRE became awkwardly placed on heels shifting out making contact with MAX STIX (6) with these runners becoming unbalanced shifting out losing ground. KNOW ENERGY and SAHARA SAM came together rounding the final bend. |
| Race 12 | Livamol Sprint - C2 - 295 | COSMIC CHELSEA (4), TILT (5) and HARDEN FASTER (6) were slow away with these three runners then coming together soon after the start. Contributing was inward movement from SPRINKLES (7) who angled in leaving the boxes. SPRINKLES continued to angle in racing down the back straight taking ANOTHER FAN (3) in onto WHIP UPPA STORM (1) with these runners making solid contact, WHIP UPPA STORM and ANOTHER FAN badly hampered losing ground going back onto COSMIC CHELSEA who lost considerable ground. Also inconvenienced were TILT and HARDEN FASTER (6). TILT shifted out making contact with ANOTHER FAN rounding the final bend. |
